Merci merci merci.
Marvellous upload - christ, I thought I had heard all of his music via Crepuscule but missed this one.....!!Why is he not famous over here? Oh I forgot - the British taste in Music........oh dear... Keep going Wim!!
Mooi werkstuk.
He is the best musician ever. He is verry close to BAck and Mozart. But his songs 'rock more' or how should i put it? And ha is all ours! BEGLIUM!! xd lolz He's just great.
The thing is, they aren't actually singing words in an existing language. Wim Mertens uses the human voice as a 'regular' instrument, so the sounds that the voices make don't have any meaning. They only sing sounds, without making (in any language existing) words.
It's been 5-6 years since I heard this piece for the first time and I always wanted to get the lyrics... I also thought they should be in French. I spent some time looking for the lyrics online but I did not succeed... it was until later when I read somewhere that the lyrics in Merten's works are not expressed in any language: they are based on syllables to match the musical notes, what they are singing has no literal meaning.
It might seem repetetive to you, but it´s in fact a minimalistic piece of music. There are some changes to the color of the music and many additions which are exploring the base melody. Minimalistic music is not for everyone. But no one, who knows music on higher level should be calling this kind of music repetitive. Turn on your tv music channel, or a commercial radio and listen to some ,,music", that is some repetitive shit.

M'INCANTO!
Beautifull !!! when i hear this song i forget all bad things happening in this fuck*** world...
this is amazing.
Don't forget Michael Nyman, who, like Mertens, emphasizes melodic development and emotion more than most minimalists.

I love this piece! What album is it on?

And no one screams "Bravo!" ?!?
new Mozart

Is there anyone french speaker who can write the lyrics here? Thank you very much

Hey Alex, thanks for the support. I think you are right, and that makes Merten´s music even more interesting.
Exactly Roxelle... Have a Happy New Year!
Thank you very much, Alexmottram07. A great 2015 for you.
Critical Thinking !!
Not so good, it's very repetitive
Hi!
It was a joke? If it would it is good to sign it with a ":)".
It's called repetitive music and Wim Mertens is a famous repetitive composer...
haa I did not know that, I am very grateful for the explanation :)
^ No jokes, I swear.
Géza Lizakovszky I would call minimalist :) and NOT repetitive music
