    This is another great video Teddy! You mentioned that you started out with Amazon Handmade but then you 'graduated onto regular Amazon' as you started to grow. So, once you are selling handmade products on Amazon Handmade is there a process you need to go thru to then start selling other regular products (ie not handmade)? Just thinking it would be good to be able to sell both eventually. And if I did sell both - then I am guessing you would need to pay the $39.99 for the Amazon professional account at that stage? Thanks!

      hello! sorry for the delay, I had a baby so I took a break from TH-cam. Yes, you would pay for the 39.99 if you sell in normal categories. I used Handmade as a good platform for learning how it all works, then did more traditional selling on Amazon - i.e. getting a manufacturer to make my products for me.

    I'm problems registering for a seller account. I have an Amazon pay account and the Amazon integration plus account that connects my Shopify store but I'm trying apply for handmade after being able to register for sellers program. This is frustrating me.😢

    Thank you Teddy! Is there a video out explaining how to use amazon FBA to ship to Etsy customers? Or could you give me an idea about the setup? Merci!

    Hi Teddy,
    While we sell on Amazon Handmade, do we need to patent our items?

    • @teddyagsmith
      @teddyagsmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, you don't *need* to, but I can be a good idea if you're worried about people copying your invention. It can be an expensive process. You can also look at getting a trade mark and getting brand registry, that opens you up to more options on Amazon such as Enhanced Branded Content and Brand Analytics

    Hi - you mentioned you started with Amazon handmade and ‘ graduated ‘ to Amazon regular , do you think Amazon regular is better than Amazon handmade ( excluding the fee Element obviously) , my understanding is that handmade products appear both on handmade and regular Amazon but not the other way round , so how getting on Amazon regular is better than Amazon handmade ? Thanks

    • @teddyagsmith
      @teddyagsmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Great question, it's not really a graduation, maybe that was the wrong use of the word. You are definitely right, your products appear on regular searches if you're in the handmade category. What I meant was, I started 'mass producing' my handmade products and sold them in regular Amazon. So they were no longer in the handmade category.
      I used handmade to test my designs, and the ones that were popular I made more of. Does that make sense?

    Can you help me knowing something about etsy?

    Are the prices for Amazon and Etsy the same? I live in the US, do I need to convert the prices to dollars? I haven't found any channels in the US that are as detailed as yours. You know your stuff.

    • @teddyagsmith
      @teddyagsmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Thanks for getting in touch. The prices aren't the same all the time, it's best to do some research on each platform.
      When you say convert the prices to dollars? Which prices do you mean?
      Thanks really glad you like them!

    Hi - if I manufacture and import hand made furniture from india into the uk , can I apply for handmade Amazon account ? I have designed them myself have drawings etc to prove also I have visited the workshop in india and have done work myself but obviously not all of the work

    • @teddyagsmith

      Potentially yes, you just need to make sure that you show the production process when you're signing up for the handmade account. Do you do all your fulfilment yourself at the moment?

    Thanks teddy for useful the info, btw when you "graduate" from amz handmade and start selling on amz reguler, do you lose your reviews collected on the handmade side?

    • @teddyagsmith
      @teddyagsmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No you wouldn't lose the reviews. Also any products you have previously sold in handmade would remain in the handmade category. So it would all stay the same

    Thank you so much for the great knowledge :) I'm an etsy seller, I design posters and prints and sell it off on etsy. I'm also dropshipping on amazon but really need the knowledge can I dropship on amazon handmade too, now it's clear and I got my approval as an handmade artist so I'll be sourcing out my prints on amazon instead of dropshipping handmade items created by someone else.

    • @teddyagsmith
      @teddyagsmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can do your own prints, but you have to ship the actual print, not a digital one :)

    15% is not much sure if that was the only overhead don't forget 20% taxes and another 10% in advertising cost then raw material s cost your looking at making 20% in profit for a product meanwhile Amazon are making absolute bank off your hardworking while advancing their multi billon dollar corporation to record numbers
