I thought "postposition" was just a more technical term for markers/particles. I thought calling a word "noun" and "postposition" at the same time was contradictory, since they're different parts of speech. Another great class regardless, Billy. Thank you!
Linguist here. The same words being different parts of speech is not unusual or contradictory, like 'run' can be both verb and noun. This is *zero derivation* caused by polysemy. In the case of Korean, it depends on your analysis what is considered postposition or just case suffix. In the analysis you might be used to, the only postpositions are the case suffixes/particles, and phrases like 카페 앞 are strictly noun phrases, whereas in another analysis, the above phrase would be both a noun and postpositional phrase (NP & PP) that can take case suffixes. Your analysis probably treats adpositions as strictly non-inflecting, but then you'd have to account for things like 가게에서는 ...

I always get confused with 안 because it is a postposition but it also means "not"
That 안 is actually a different word, but yes they do look the exact same :-)
