Hello Jacob, Jesper, Mikko and André I congratulate you on the first trip of this route in the north face of the Aiguille d`Argentiere. Bravo. Keep it up. Thank you for the wonderful film, with the appropriate music. I wish you nice tours. With alpine greetings Raphael Wellig from Switzerland
I watched it with the palm of my hands sweating. Amazing, scary, exciting.... Loved it... I am a beginner, so I don't think in this lifetime I would be able to pull such amazing thing like this off... Congrats..
It was a stunner for sure. Yeah the bigger walls around here shrink most AK spine faces by more than people think. Loads of lines that look great from a distance but don't shoot well at all due to the sheer scale. Amazing skiing however!
This is amazing content Jacob, you are a fantastic skier and also filmmaker. It's my dream to be able to film and photograph freeskiing and alpinism and this, along with your adventures is an amazing inspiration for me. I am so stoked to be moving to Cham this summer, maybe I'll see you there!
Thanks Ewan, I am flattered! Chase your dream, nothing is more satisfying to me than spending long days in the mountains, admiring the views, the silence, pushing myself etc. Cham is the place to be, I'm not going to be around this summer unfortunately. Hope you will enjoy yourself, hard not to!
Too right! Knowing the stories I'll probably end up living there my whole life ;) I actually got to photograph Jesper Tjäder and your bro in Copenhagen last Autumn which was sweet, and the Planks team this winter - I'm gonna make it happen! Enjoy your summer wherever you are, keep coming with the sick content! #daxförshred
I agree with 118mm waist may seem a bit aggressive in the steeps but it's a personal choice that makes sense for me as I am used to a buttery wide ski and feel I am in less control on a more responsive, narrower ski. Especially in the parts of the line that really matter to me, like the hanging snowfield in the middle, I would not feel comfortable opening up on a smaller ski, and if something went wrong I would have less time to correct the mistake.
I like this comment, because it's not every day someone automatically assumes I understand german. I actually do, even thought I won't attempt write back in the same language, I'm not quite there yet :) I will simply grant you the same generosity and assume you can understand my reply. Well, of course I love nature. I love being in the mountains. At over 3500 meters in the Mont Blanc massif, the only other lifeforms we usually run into are birds, and I don't think they are too bothered about a couple skiers spending an hour or so to do some peaceful skiing. To be honest, I have quite a difficult time imagining what peace we could possibly disturb, and for whom? If no one is there to appreciate the beauty of these places, what is it all for? Thank you
Nice scenery and all, but these guys ski like beginners. If you turn your body across your line, you are just linking stops, not skiing. It does scrape a lot of snow off the mountain, so there’s that.
They are basically linking turns as much as it's possible when the line is that steep... You can see him hauling ass in other videos in different conditions. Given the context he actually has kind of a good flow going in many of the turns
mrCyk0 If your torso is perpendicular to the fall line, it is not a turn at all, it is a stop, or a traverse. TH-cam has plenty of videos of experts on nearly vertical, very narrow runs, where the body of the skier is always facing straight down the mountain. The lower body does 100% of the articulation in snow skiing.
Nice armchair ski machismo. Good job. This, since you are not familiar, is full-on no-fall exposure. Hanging snowfields, an uncertain base and with a big rappel out the exit. Yes. You should ski each turn here with the ability to stop at any second. Like they are doing. Or you don’t survive very long.
Great job all round. Let's the rest of us into the world of extreme skiing.
Great skiing, great conditions, great footage. Well done
This is true inspirational, one of the sickest lines I´ve ever seen. Hands down to you guys!
Tack Johan!
Johan Andersson lol...nooooo

Thank you Raphael! I wish you great skiing as well!
Skiing steeps is one thing but picking the right line on a technical slope a different level.. great vid

Congrats..
Would love to see content from an amazing skier like you, for people that want to approach freeriding and backcountry like me for the first time!
very inspiring indeed! Great views of the face.
Wow, härligt att se!
Wow. Such a great line. Love the music, too. I was telling a friend here that the Alps are the only ski range that can make AK look small.

Unreal... You're crazy talented.
you are too nice Brendan!
Very inspirational line With high pucker factor! 🤙

Wow awesome vid guys.
Nice lines, good technique & good idea to do this late in spring and bring a rope :)). Thanx !
Thank you Steven! It was an exciting day and I hope to repeat this like some day!
living life to it's fullest , good for you, cheers.
Great technical skiing!
sweet! congratulations!
Great line and great skiing, but why are you guys skiing on top of each other?
We deemed the line to be in safe conditions for it. We wouldnt have skied it like that had it had more loose snow.
So steep you're outside the avie death zone, but with a new set of challenges. ;) Good Times!
Spot on!
very nice video, music and skill :)
Waaaay too steep for me but fun to watch!
Beast! Beautiful line!! what bindings do you use?
Thank you! I use Look HM12 for big vertical gain to freeride terrain. Light yet very trustworthy!
Awesome Line .)
Cheers all
Bravi!
Perfect
my legs burn just watching it haha
Sick dude 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
why use blackops skis on a line like that?
