Bienvenidos amigos to another episode of MLD!!!
Like many of you - when we moved to Puerto Vallarta Mexico we asked ourselves "Where do the locals shop". We were fortunate to find this AMAZING market pretty quickly located in Colonia Santa Maria every Saturday. I wouldn't call this a hidden gem (because it's anything but hidden) - but a lot of foreigners that live or travel here don't know about it.
This is where we buy our groceries, our clothes, our house supplies, our lunch and even some health products. Wether you're living here or visiting - this market is definitely worth checking out - even if just for the experience of shopping local.

Firstly, your children are absolutely adorable! It is insane how much we pay here in Canada for Fruit and veggies. And more so here in BC. So whenever we go visit our home in Mazatlan, we just enjoy the local markets. They are fabulous! Love your videos! thanks for putting out the fun and informative content! Wishing your family all the best! 🙂
Thank you so much 😊 Toronto was insane when we left - it was costing us about $50 just to pop in and get a few things. Not to mention the cost of eating out. It’s nice to be able to support locals by shopping and eating locally here - they’ve made that near impossible in Canada with the cost of goods.
@@Morelifediaries totally agree! We have 1 son graduated and in University and the other has 2 more years to graduate high school, or we would be in Mazatlán a lot more! Soon though! 😁😎
OMG😳😳😳 I am Plant Based and you know in the states I would have not been able to pay rent if I would have payed that amount of those veggies and fruits. Especially Organic. Goodness. Wow!!! I have been researching to leave the states and Puerto Vallarta is at the top.
I’m Canada either! We wouldn’t be able to afford this many fruits and vegetables smh here it’s the more affordable option 🤯
@@Morelifediaries it’s one of the main reasons I want to move out there. I just really eat fruit and veggies and this would be perfect. Also I am a Vet and I need to be close to the states so I can still be able to fly close to get my medication from the VA. I only get $1400 social security disability each month. Can I survive that? I don’t drink, party etc just live and I want to live like a local and not a crazy apartment.
There are small studio apartments, maybe 1 bedrooms for under $10K Pesos per month ($550 usd) depending on where you're looking so you could definitely make it work.
Appreciate the look into the cost of food, especially in the market you went to. My wife and I also agree that we will mostly be looking at 2nd hand clothes...as life is different in Mexico. Another great video!
Thank you! Shopping in local markets in Canada is where you find the most expensive produce, here it’s the opposite - go figure?!?!? We prefer to support the locals with most things here in PV and the experience had been amazing.
Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
Hermosa familia ❤😊
Mucha gracias ☺️
Nice video. I really miss Puerto Vallarta. It’s become so expensive there. I guess anything is cheap compared to Toronto but if you really want cheap, you should visit Colombia. With beautiful beach towns, like Santa Marta in San Andres, you can really have an amazing time and eat an abundance of fruits and vegetables for a fraction of the price you pay in Puerto Vallarta. Thank you for this wonderful video and enjoy your time in Mexico! Cheers from Yellowknife Northwest Territories 😊
Thanks for watching! Definetly not as "cheap" as people would think but it's most definetly more affordable than Toronto. We will visit Colombia one day (hopefully soon) as we've heard great things! Would also love to visit Yellowknife one day :)
Wow! Super travail l'ami! Nous arrivons bientôt pour notre première visite de ce coin du Mexique!!! Merci du super contenu!
Saludos et merci beaucoup :) Bon voyage
I was wondering if I could do less waste by bringing my own bags and not using the plastic bags for produce and you just answered my question ❤ thank you!
Yes absolutely :) just tell them or show them you have your own bags.
Thanks to hinting that we need to wash fruits and veg!
Definitely give them a nice wash 🧼
I love it there! Great video, thankyou.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 😊
Loved this so much!!!! Iguana Loco. On it! Ha!
Lol thank you 😊
That was awesome, thank you so much for the information. ❤
You are so welcome :)
Beautiful in Puerto Vallarta enjoy 🇲🇽🇲🇽👍👋
Gracias ☺️
I used to live two blocks from the street market. Excelente
It’s the best 🙌🏼
cop that wu wear! hahaha.
👐🏼👐🏼👐🏼
Nice video man! I sure miss those fruits and veggies! Can't wait to be back in PV. Farmboy in Hamilton is the best I can do for now lol. No frills had a case of the yellow mangos on sale two weeks ago. Down to 2 left. 😄
Thank you 😊 in Toronto we lived a few minute walk from a Freshco but used to hit up the farmboy in Leslieville when we wanted to splurge on payday lol We sure do miss their Spicy edemame dip
@@Morelifediaries Ah, I had to google that. Looks good, I'll check it out! Next weeks flyer isn't looking so great though. Love the frugal/thrifty vids! Cheers!
Get it with the fresh Italian roasted pita chips - thank me later lol
@@Morelifediaries wouldn't even have to think twice on that lol
You are killing me with does flautas.they look delicious.
The flautas are 💯💯💯 I haven’t had bad flautas in general here lol
I'm with ya on all the toppings.
Getting our moneys worth 😂
I absolutely LOVED thrifting in PV. I do it here in Portland, thrifting and upcycling. Why buy new, when you can buy used? Right?
Absolutely agree! My wife and I used to own and operate a resale business outside of Portland in Hillsboro by the airport and frequently went to auctions to find our treasures.
So many cool things out there and meeting so many interesting people was the best part! From 70’s swag lamps to a beautiful barber chair from the 50’s - you never know.

Ill be here soon
🙌🏼
@@Morelifediaries what is the best site for a apartment monthly? Also is it friendly here?
Facebook marketplace and very friendly
@@Morelifediaries im a raw vegan! They got places that sale fresh squeeze juice?or atleast i can buy a blender
Yes they do!
I live in the states the way they live in Mexico ! I eat mostly local produce , I shop used clothing and everything else , I try to keep my foot print small , I try not to buy things that end up in the planet forever ( plastics ) I don’t shop at big box, I don’t buy “things” and I eat a lot of produce .
Except for not liking spicy 🌶️ looks like Mexico may be a good fit for me ?
I wonder when the Trump banner will sell …. I guess Mexicans won’t want to spend money on that after all the money they spent paying for the wall 😉😉
Seems like it would be. It's definitely helped us reduce our "things" and enjoy the things we love (playas, good food, organic fruits, lots of sun). Life is simple, safe and affordable in most places outside the USA and Canada.
how many flautas per each person ? it's for one person it’s not much of a bargain . Here in San Antonio Tx
We got 4 very large flautas and a large agua fresca.
@@Morelifediaries good deal then . I get them here but maybe a size difference they're kinda thin and I eat 2-3 of them myself
Hi any idea for atv tour thanks nice video
Thank you 😊 no I’m sorry we haven’t looked into ATV tours.
Whereabouts is the market?? Pls. Thanks.
It’s called « Saturday Market » on Google maps
📍P.º de Las Palmas LB, Santa María, 48320 Puerto Vallarta, Jal.
damn, all that food for 10$ cad, that would've most likely cost you guys 75$ ish in Toronto
Toronto is bananas 🍌
Delicioso 😊
Hot in Puerto Vallarta ?! Try los Angeles 105, Arizona 110, some parts 125c, etc…,
Not competing!! They're all caliente lol basically 105+ daily here with humidity + no A/C. Also you're naming random locations lol where are you actually from?
@@Morelifediaries I know. All I’m saying is that the weather has changed all over the world and it is so hot in so many countries/cities. I’m from Zacatecas but now live in the USA. Planning on going back!
What are the hours of this market?
Usually 8ish to 3ish. I’m not sure if there are official hours but the earlier the better. We typically go around noon
@@Morelifediaries thanks!
👍🏼
😢😢😢
Address please?
It's on Google maps as Tiaguis "Libramiento" - maps.app.goo.gl/aXso4sXwHukuvXGH9
Thankyou
Where is this market in puerto Vallarta?
If you search “Tianguis Libramiento” on google maps you’ll find it. Only open Saturdays.

Great, now gentrification arrived at tianguis 🙄
Ok 👍🏼

If you’re lucky it might still be there 🤞🏼
