thanks for such MARVELLOUS video. i was born jn Comox in 1953 and with an armed forces dad, family moved out of Kye bay to Germany and France for many years, always returning to Canada. we returned to Vancouver Island when i was 11 years old after moving to courtenay, comox and cumberland. it is stunning for me
to see this area of beauty in the mountains, forest, oceans and lakes. it has changed so much in the 30 years since i have been there. i live in ontario now after
living in Quebec also. my heritage is norwegian and when seeing videos of norway i can understand the familiarity for the norwegian people there . i have always loved the mountains, forests and ocean having spent some of my childhood there so seeing these wonderful videos i can return to my heart once again. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PRODUCED THIS FEAST FOR THE EYES AND SOUL. nancy..

It’s ok but certainly no nicer than the rest of the Island. Kinda far from Victoria and Nanaimo the Islands two main cities and their transportation facilities such as major ferry terminals. Also the hospital is not as extensive as the larger centres. The housing is cheaper gotta give it that.

It is much smaller and that Wayne is the beauty of the Comox Valley... although we are getting busier. Victoria is very much higher in cost to buy a home of any type. We have TWO brand new hospitals and they are fabulous... even a Heli if we need to go to Vancouver or Victoria... Thx for your comment

@@courtenaycampbellriverhomesexp My friend goes to Nanaimo for kidney dialysis. Nanaimo also has more amenities not just Victoria. Even that's a fair distance to go when your sick though.

@@courtenaycampbellriverhomesexp A fair number of my elderly friends in Comox have to travel to Victoria for cancer treatment as well. That's so inconvenient and dangerous in the winter months. Thankfully soon they will only have to go as far as Nanaimo once the new BC cancer treatment centre opens there. The Comox valley may have new hospital buildings but they are still limited in the level of treatment.

Yes my mom took the CANCER bus from Courtenay to Victoria for treatments. @@waynemerlo7448

@@courtenaycampbellriverhomesexp It's a great service. And soon it will be an even shorter trip. Just wish sometimes the CV had those services. The CV lacks a major ferry terminal to the mainland too. Another major shortfall.
