As a football purist (who has never endured lake effect cold weather lol) I will miss their current stadium build. It's one of those stadiums you see on TV and can tell they have real fans...But as an Atlanta native who lives not too far from the Falcons stadium, I'm happy for Cleveland! That complex looks fire fr and will host mad SBs and other events. When you add Buffalo, Jacksonville, and Tennessee into the mix, these stadiums will be a game-changer.
Yooooo! You're covering my hometown team!!!! If they build it in Brookpark its literally 1 mile from the Browns headquarters and practice fields. The site used to have a former Ford motor factory there
Cheers from NE Ohio... thanks for sharing this. I've not seen this video before. Brilliant. I hope it comes to fruition, as the City is trying to lure them back downtown. Keep up the great work lads!!
I live in downtown Cleveland and am really against the stadium being built outside of the city. It will create a new downtown which will destroy the downtown area of the city of Cleveland. They also want taxpayers to fork out 1.2 billion dollars for the project. No thanks.
A local resident that lives a few miles from where the new stadium is supposed to be. I don’t want to pay for this .The owner is a billionaire that doesn’t have any success with the team, plus the current stadium is only 25 years old. This is another way the owners will become even richer then they already are and keep the local people even more broke for there better.
thankfully, you won’t have to pay for all of it. if approved your tax burden would be unnoticed by you. you could however maybe get a better job at this proposed stadium to boost your income
There is a direct public train line from downtown to the airport, I presume it will be incorporated to the stadium as well. There are only 12,000 parking spaces for 70,000 seats so they have to be expeecting teh use of trains to get there.
Won’t be able to keep them there. Can’t force a tenant to stay after the lease is up if they don’t want to stay! Nothing but window dressing… #GoBrowns

That recessed design like they did with Sofi stadium is going to be the norm moving forward I think. It seems like everyone in the stadium is going to be on their damn phones the entire time instead of watching the actual game. Even more so than normal...ugh
Clevelander here. The Mayor actually just blocked the Browns from being able to move the stadium to this location. I assume because it takes money out of the city, since the stadium has always been downtown. Personally I dont care either way since I hate going to stadiums, and the owner is the biggest buffoon in all of American sports. He's the one who gave Watson that $250 million deal. Amongst about 200 other disastrous bonehead decisions
Mayor Bibb is just doing it for selfish political reasons. And Jimmy Haslam makes bad decisions but atleast he spends the money to try. Some owners accept the mediocrity which is almost worse.
ive been a Browns season ticket holder for 20 years now. I for one, cant wait for the new stadium. and the digital tickets is a pain in the butt. if transferring ticket to someone without a smart phone, you have to pay $5 each ticket to get a printed ticket. so dumb
Clevelander here. I DON'T want a new stadium. Not paying for another one while the other one is VERY functional. I would rather have a new owner than a stadium.
The only thing is that it hasn't been First Energy Stadium for a few YEARS now. FE was embroiled in a bribery scandal involving several state representatives, and their naming rights were removed pretty quickly after that. And yes, the new dome will be very close to Hopkins International Airport (CLE) on the site of an old Ford Assembly plant. The City of Cleveland is upset about losing the Browns games, but *most* fans live in the suburbs and would rather drive to Brook Park and not have to deal with downtown traffic and the expensive parking that happens to all be a mile from the stadium. And someday, we may have a team that actually deserves to play in such a home. 🤦♂ Cleveland has a minor league hockey team, the Monsters, who are the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets.
Multi-Billionaire owner, major scandal right after buying team, sells off daddy's rest stop business, buys interest in Milwaukee Bucks and Columbus Crew, constantly puts a loser on the football field for some of the most loyal fans in pro football, burns bridges with the actual city of Cleveland and stiffs them with an empty lakefront stadium that is far from antiquated, plans to build ego-boosting multi-billion stadium right across the street from Hopkins International airport (thus the 80' depth), absolutely cranks expected ticket prices and PSA costs, expects the fans and state to pay up even though absolutely NOBODY asked for a new stadium. Thanks Jimmy and Dee - you really know how to read a room.
I live 50 miles south of Cleveland, and I am excited about the new stadium. I am 51 and never never seen the Browns have big-time success. Hopefully it will happen soon. Cheers.
This will happen don't worry about the mayors threats. This would making just getting to the game so much easier. The stadium now is one way in one way out and parking is horrible far and $$
The current stadium is only 27 years old. I think this is a waste of money. I remember going to the old Municipal stadium, known as the mistake by the lake, and it was a shithole but it gave us great home field advantage because away tabs hated to play there. By going to a dome stadium you take away home field advantage. The weather is an advantage
You can't rely on weather to win games... lmao that's like a professional drifter saying a wet track is easier to drift and slide on. Yeah it's a cool advantage to have but shouldn't have to rely on it and should be able to win regardless of weather. Which they unfortunately can't lmao.
I'm glad they are building a dome. It sucks going to the games when it's freezing outside. I will miss seeing snow games though. Now they just need to get this upcoming draft right lol
Cleveland just gave up home field advantage?!??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 One of the hardest places to go play and now its a dome with climate control 😂😂😂😂😂😂. They may never win another winter season game 😂😂😂😂
@chroniccomplainer3792 we have no home field advantage, are we passionate, loud, loyal to a fault and sometimes obnoxious, Yes! But look at the home record since 99.......
@beermike2169 do you actually think you beat the Steelers this year without a once in a half decade blizzard?!?!? If the Steelers could see further than 2 feet forward they woulda won. Instead they got smashed.
@chroniccomplainer3792 The Browns played in the same weather 🤷♂️. Stuff like that happens every few years. It's not a blizzard every Sunday for the Browns. My point is, the ain't some world beaters at home. That stadium and location mean nothing unless you are some 70 year old still holding on to past glory!
@@beermike2169 Myles Garrett, stout defense, good run game. These are all things the browns want to do and these are all things that work best in bad weather
This project has actually been very poorly received by the Cleveland community and Browns fans everywhere for numerous reasons. The team’s owners and upper management do not have very good standing with the city at the moment due to the disastrous acquisition of Deshaun Watson and the terrible product on the field, and the decision to leave downtown with all of this going on is considered extremely bad optics. In addition, the Browns have always traditionally played on the shores of Lake Erie and the city wants to keep all of their pro athletic franchises downtown. In spite of how bad and dysfunctional the franchise is, the Browns are deeply ingrained in the culture of the city, so many are understandable resistant to just take that away. There is likely a legal battle between Cleveland and the franchise about to take place in the near future.
The truth is MAJORITY of people going to the games are from the surrounding suburbs and would rather drive to brookpark and the city needs a dome to get major concerts in the area. There's no room for that anywhere downtown. This is next to the airport so people can fly in for it. They can now host superbowls and other major events. It's legit what's best for NE Ohio. The mayor was told about this year's ago and put no plans in place... kinda how we lost the team 30 years ago no?
What does losing have to do with needing a new stadium? Us Browns fans always support our team regardless of the record. They are still making money. Now we don’t have to sit in single digit weather.

This idea that a team has to be winning consistently in order for a new stadium to be built is utter bs. It isn’t about the team, it’s about the fans and the city.
They do need a new stadium. It would have been nice to have this downtown, but it’s not feasible. It’s 20 miles away. I drive farther than that to go to my favorite restaurant. I love the design too.
The stadium is a dump, there is nowhere to park, there is one 1 way out of the area. The bookpark facility makes more sense. It's literally 12 minutes down the road. If the downtown business are depending on 8 games a year to survive then there is a bigger problem!!! Mayor bibb is a tool
