I never knew this tab existed in youtube analytics! My channel is also recommending similar AI generated HQ content. All of which sound interesting but come across stale and creepy. It's a weird insight into what these systems think we want to hear. In a way, AI gave you a topic to talk about on the channel... even if it's to shed light on the ridiculous concepts it so often spits out.
why is TH-cam telling me to feature content of me vs. Ash IN A STEEL CAGE??? (just kidding, but so far the system is not awesome enough to believe such dreams are possible). stay strong, HQ brethren
I think a video on designing Heroquest dungeons would be great to see, especially since I could only find two videos on TH-cam on that topic, where the first of those videos was your review video on the Quest Builder's Handbook (which was a video that actually provided some really solid advice on dungeon making which I really appreciated), and the second video being over 8 years old made by a channel called 'Dungeon Crawler'. Everything else is either videos on how to 3D print the dungeon map or how to use questbuilder apps :(
It'll be worse if they're using this to help train their AI, in order to reduce YT creator's revenue in the future. You briefly state that you could steal ideas from viewing this information, but what if they use the system to steal the profit from hits and views from you? I hope that there is an option to turn this off entirely. I can imagine a future dystopian scenario where they basically throw all the big ideas and claim rights to any topics that they "proposed" using a system like this, and demonetize or reduce the amount going to the creator. Considering that most audio is being converted to text for closed captioning they could easily start checking whether it's using their "Inspirations" as a qc for who is and isn't using their AI and turn this into a service or reduce the cut to creator's as they could claim rights to the ideas from their system.
Something I didn't talk about, but is exactly the kind of thing you've caught: TH-cam in the last couple of weeks came out with that very setting, a toggle that let's creators allow their content be used for AI training purposes. There's a short lost of like seven or so companies right now that will train using your videos, all named by YT in disclosure. The good news is that this can be turned off, and it's also off by default. Still, what you're suggesting is probably what a lot of people are thinking, is scary, and is depressing realistic.
10:43 I would genuinely enjoy and appreciate a video on actual map design for HQ. What are your philosophies on storytelling through map design, or how to build tension through dungeon design specifically on the classic HQ board vs add on or home brewed maps.
My AI rant aside, I really love this video (unexpected references to Alan Moore, J.R.R. Tolkien, and "Doctor Who" are always welcome), and in all honesty, a prequel game focused on Zargon's corruption and his amassing an army of monsters is a game I desperately want.
"You've got some cool-looking weapons, but they're AI-generated, so I'm not ever using them in real life." This sums up my whole issue with AI. Prompts in AI, even when ridiculously detailed and thorough, cannot encapsulate years, decades, centuries of skill acquired through observation and experience. Weapons are a great example, because, while we look at weapons and appreciate them aesthetically, they evolved over millennia based on use by people who were trained to use them, sometimes under very different circumstances. The weapons adapted to the needs of the user through the skill of the person crafting the weapons. AI doesn't know what we want or need. It can only guess based on what we communicate, and in many instances, the degree to which you have to dictate to AI takes up more time than it would to create the thing yourself if you put in the commitment to develop the skills yourself first. AI just shouldn't be used for things that require creativity or critical thinking. It should be used for menial tasks so that humans have more time to follow their own creative impulses and develop critical thinking. But, ugh, that's capitalism. Rant over.
I've seen it, another by Scamboli, and some very good counters to the points made as well. Definitely a debate which requires some thought before deciding on a stance.
It's also dependent upon what its being fed. The scripts given are based on user search results within the platform, trying to keep creators ahead of the interest. AI can be a great tool to help reword scripts for tone and emphasis within a text, but it struggles to create something realistic without a proper prompt. This is why it has to be monitored and edited. It tries so hard to act human, but falls short... for now.

Welcome to the untold stories of zargon: the college years
Zargon is played by Fred Savage
@ memory is correct then we headed for the wonder years
not saying this idea is without merit...
@@AshQuest at the moment I realized my life was about to change other people into zombies... and werewolves... and orcs...
@@AshQuest The Wonder Zargon Years. Waka Waka Waka!

Would actually like to see a video about Zargon and the lore behind him.
Behold the deception of the Dread Lords
Love seeing what others ai buddy pins as their content niche since it seems highly based on videos in popular tab on our channels.

That's something I'd love to do, albeit without the "help" of an inspiration tool. On the list for 2025, then!
Plot-Twist: Zargon is the AI. We need to send our bravest heros to stop him, spreading dread all over the web.

Never seen anyone show the backend of the TH-cam creator experience. Very interesting... and disappointing...
I was thinking of trying this out myself
Ye man u nailed it gotta say not just hq but TH-cam info man appreciate it and u lad
As TH-camrs, we have the freedom, right and choice to make and upload our own content.
Zargon of many faces.

Yes, make a video about Dungeon design please!

26:57 As soon as you clicked on the inspiration tab you were inspired for content?!? Operation failed successfully 😂
It's unfortunately a sign of the times. META has plans to create curated bot accounts that can be rented out above board for engagement.
Aye, saw this mentioned and not excited about it personally
Just putting this out there, TJ from the TH-cam channel, the Amazing Atheist, has a really good video about AI art. Please check it out.
I've seen it, another by Scamboli, and some very good counters to the points made as well. Definitely a debate which requires some thought before deciding on a stance.
Only good in certain things. Every thing else I think it’s a lazy move. AI that assist is good but not do everything .
I’d click on those
This is actually hilarious 😂
Good thathat zargon can be a them they cat sheep rainbow dash is it is it though lol
All this AI generated stuff spreading all over the web is getting boring... 😒
That's a great way to put it, it really does just evoke boredom somehow
