A sign of a good author, is when you are used to their work, you know you are going to get a happily ever after, you know the basics, but each and every story you come away learning things, thinking deeply and during the actual story, you listen with rapt attention, wondering what happens next, with just as much interest as the first story. I love these stories. I'm not actually super religious, but these stories, this whole world of Jessie's and also you too Jay, has elevated my belief, it has me praying way more and truly examining my faith. I love that, so much.xx
Thank you, EV! I'm glad to do my little part, but I think you've hit on one of Jessie's greatest talents - even if she has tropes that repeat, she always manages to make each and every story unique and wonderful!
So true, each book is a life lesson, a lovely integration of God's love and building a relationship with Him, triumph over hardships and heartache , a happily ever after that makes you feel hopeful for your own. Plus the characters are so imperfect and real you can identify with each one. The only thing I wish for was racial diversity in the characters, but we're all one human race facing the same ups, downs and love for Jesus. Thank you.
Wow, believe it or not, I never read or listened to this entire story until now! I didn't even realize. 😂 Great ending to an awesome series - my only complaint is that it had to end at all! Great stories, and great narrating! 😊
Another winner for Jessie and Jay! Jessie, this one had me in tears. You write straight from your heart. Jay, it seems like you will be singing in all the books, from now on. Great voice!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for your kind words. I always pray that God will make something out of my mess of writing that might bless someone, and it seems He did. And Jay takes my words and makes them a million times better. : )
Dear Jay I have listened to all the books I this series. They are wonderful. The stories are interesting and absorbing. The voice acting is some of the best I’ve ever listened to, I really believe the characters are real. I also have felt so strengthened by talk of the Lord, the way faith is portrayed. Thank you with all my heart 😊❤
Listening to this story was a pleasure. I love Jessie Gussman’s books. And the way Jay Dyess delivers it. I didn’t start crying this time until the singing of the hymn after the funeral. Singing hymns has always affected me as that is my favorite thing to do and the message in the hymns sink deep in my heart. Thank you Jessie and thank you Jay for another inspiring story.
Oh my goodness this is book 8 I got to start with book one I got to find it but I am so in all of everything that you guys do and now this is another story that is touching me in my heart thank you so much
🎉I love these books and listen to as many as I can find .love the stories love the voices. There's just one thing that I wish wasn't there ...There's always someone dying of cancer.
Thank you, and I'm glad you enjoy them! I'm never going to spoil anything, but I can say that this isn't always the case. I hope you'll give more a try!

I love this book I’m just very invested in pastor Wyatt now and I even went looking for a book with his story definitely Shouldn’t leave me wanting more! Lol
Yes! I wrote Guss's book this summer and it's currently in this collection: www.amazon.com/Once-Upon-Starry-Night-Collection-ebook/dp/B0C81PYJBF I believe it will be out of the collection in January and I'll probably format it, possibly add a bit to it (it's a short novella right now) and release it sometime this year. Jay has not recorded it, yet, but I'm sure he will be at some point.

Is there a book covering pastor Guss, and him being able to pull out of his depression?
