- In today’s acrylic landscape painting tutorial we are going to create a nice ocean seascape with waves washing up on shore. We are also going to paint a colorful sunset sky and the reflections it creates in the water. This lesson is great for beginners, intermediates and advanced painters alike.

Acrylic Paints:
Cerulean Blue, Mars Black, Titanium White, Cadmium Red Light Hue, Cadmium Yellow Deep Hue
Brushes:
½” flat headed brush, ¼” flat headed brush, 1” flat headed brush
Materials:
-9x12 inch canvas, A small dish for water, Paper towel for excess paint

Your narrative was just what I needed for the sunrise painting I'm working on. I'm painting outside on my porch and the temperature is very comfortable, but making the paint dry a little too quickly. As the the light is fading, it's time to quit and resume watching your video. Thank you for sharing.

Holy cow when you said like our pink lines up at the top, referring to the second wave 😂 my eyes honestly looked this over and until you said that, I saw that crest as white, but uh huh 🤔 it is infact pink. Sorry I watched a quite a few of yours paints out and everything from beginning to end, but this was just before bed, and so I jumped around a little bit🙂 you really do stoke me and I definitely imagine others into the belief that we at home can too do this. Mine have never turned out as great as yours always do😊 it pretty amazing!

Another magnificent piece of art!
I have found a lot of joy in this tutorial. I’ve never taken any classes before and have learned so much! I do have a question that I think other folks might benefit from as well. When you dampen the brush for a desired effect, does the use of water, if we mistakenly use too much, cause the paint not to adhere as well? Is the use of Matte Fluid Medium a safer choice for beginners such as myself until I get a “feel” for a proper amount of water to use? I am glad to see that I’m not alone in the area of going back over an area with layers to get a look of depth, distance, etc. left to my own devices, I could spend weeks on a painting. Thank in advance for any advice you might have for me!!

Absolutely beautiful. 😍 You do a great job as always. I specially love how it’s easy to follow u without feeling intimidated. It looks realistic but not too realistic bcuz that’s when I feel scared to follow the tutorial. Your instructions are clear and easy follow. I also like how u mostly used the same colours (red, black, white & cerulean blue) but using different ratio gave diff shades to create this masterpiece
