Seeing a man on an execution stand declare he'll be the Pirate King, then getting hit by lightning, then walking it off... that's the kind of shit that'd convert me.
The big crack you hear at the end of the show is the breaking of the barrel. You notice after their promise of reaching their dreams, they all raise their legs to bring it down to break the barrel. It their version of a champagne christening.
Don't fret. The Alvida reveal got even those of us who were reading it. It's such a masterful reveal, but this in addition to the Kuro/Morgan connection, teaches us to pay attention to the world of One Piece. Also, for the record, The Strawhats escaping Loguetown and breaking the barrel is chapter 100 "The Legend Begins" in the manga.
Honestly, it was really well done how they rolled that reveal out. Enough time had passed where I wasn’t even thinking about her until the video before this one
1:30 it's a small detail, but I like that the East Blue police have a uniform, this guy's wearing the same outfit as Genzo in Nami's village (minus the pinwheel).
The ceremony with the barrel before entering the Grand Line never fails to give me goosebumps. Between the anime, the manga and the LA, I personally think the LA did that scene the best, flashing to the child version of each crew member. These were, after all, dreams they'd had since they were young children. The Alabasta Saga is where it really begins. You said you were about half a dozen episodes or so ahead, so I imagine you're not quite out of that saga, but there are some scenes I absolutely love and am looking forward to seeing you react to. People will complain about the pacing for upcoming arcs. Ignore them. Make up your own mind. I know that's generally not an issue for you. Also if the conspiracy theory voice in your head pipes up, listen to it. It may mean nothing at all, or it may be an incredibly important point. I've had plenty of both. This world is deep. Once it has a hold of you, it does not let go.
FYI: The only real thing you learn in the filler arc is info on the Calm Belts: 2 strips of sea that border the Grand Line. There is no wind or weather in the Calm Belt and is breeding home of the Sea Kings. Due to the danger of sailing in these waters the Entrance at Reverse Mountain is the only guaranteed passage and the entrance itself is so precise that being off a few degrees will destroy the ship - hence why the Map to the Grand Line is needed.
Loguetown has so many cool moments! I really enjoy Smoker for being such an interesting and different kind of Marine adversary at this point in the story. Honestly I was impressed you were making the connections with Alvida, and the fact that Buggy ran into her at the end of the live action! You were right on the verge of figuring it out, but to be fair it's also a pretty big leap to guess that a character we've already met could eat a devil fruit and end up looking like a completely different person when we've seen so few devil fruit powers so far
People need to understand that future LA seasons are not going to have dramatically higher budgets. "Stranger Things" only got a couple million more each subsequent season despite being a massive hit. And that's practically nothing when it comes to CGI. The LA will continue to do things practically whenever possible.

Congratulations on finishing the first saga. The next one will be wilder! Theories for Live Action S2 is that it will start with Loguetown before going to Grand Line since Smoker was teased in the end.
Wild that you predicted Dragon bringing the storm. Don’t forget about him before they drop more info on him! If I remember right, it’ll be a little while still from where in the show you are at the time of this comment. Also, you commented on Luffy’s line delivery telling Sanji to go on ahead. I think this is the first time he’s told all his allies to go on ahead and leave him to fight (you could count Baratie sending Zoro and Usopp ahead, but Sanji fought alongside him), which is significant in and of itself. And he did it with such a confident nonchalance. Then Sanji runs ahead, because his crew, also for the first time, know that even on his own, Luffy *will* find a way to catch up. Between everything they’ve seen him do, and lightning striking as if at fate’s intervention to rescue him, they all have full confidence in him.
Now you've got your first taste of a logia (elemental) Devil Fruit. Smoker was definitely a heck of an antagonist in this arc, I really hope they do him good in the LA.

haha that's not even an arc, this whole thing from when luffy set sail up to this point in Loguetown is one arc only, and it's only gonna get bigger. But yeah Loguetown is a great island.
@@MikeyVenture Yes but in the community, saga is more commonly referred to as arcs, and loguetown is like one of those island within an arc (sometimes its just one island in arc tho). But if you use saga:arc that's okay too.
With Alvida you did not recognize the clothes or hat. She ate a devil fruit that made her like that. The next arc is a great arc. Apis appears in the second opening. It also reference them leaving Loguetown and the Sickle Guy appears on the ship going up Reverse Mountain. Alicia did not skip this arc. yea the only filler worth attention is G8, aside from that they’re pretty whatever
Yesss, 1000% agree with skipping filler arcs. It always frustrates me when reactors insist on reacting to filler for a bit before they inevitably give up because it sucks and the views counts are super low
Alright, I understand ou have to follow your "patreons" and not react to the filler. But I do recommend you watch by yourself even if you will not react. You can use some future episode introduction just to give your opinion about it. Plus, the episode 54 contains some "canon" parts. So talk to your patreons about it cause this passage is important to you understand the geography of this world and why they can't go straight to Grand Line..
I did say in the video I’m watching it on my own time, and I did indeed watch them. I didn’t even record for those episodes. I’m never going to skip any episodes
@@MikeyVenture Ok! Alright Mikey! The way you said I thought you would watch later! (I thought you would loose the Calm Belt experience)
Don't worry, you'll learn more about Dragon later on down the road.

Love watching your reactions to this fantastic show, but I have to ask where episodes 54-60 are. Seven whole episodes is a lot to have missing.
Thank you! I watched those episodes on my own time because the majority of people wanted me to just jump into the grand line stuff. So I watched them, but I did not record them

haha that's not even an arc, this whole thing from when luffy set sail up to this point in Loguetown is one arc only, and it's only gonna get bigger. But yeah Loguetown is a great island.
I thought it was referred to as a saga?
@@MikeyVenture Yes but in the community, saga is more commonly referred to as arcs, and loguetown is like one of those island within an arc (sometimes its just one island in arc tho). But if you use saga:arc that's okay too.
WWWWWWWW
With Alvida you did not recognize the clothes or hat. She ate a devil fruit that made her like that. The next arc is a great arc. Apis appears in the second opening. It also reference them leaving Loguetown and the Sickle Guy appears on the ship going up Reverse Mountain. Alicia did not skip this arc. Tashigi it is not because you are a girl Zoro is not a killer disarming someone is more enough for him. Dead girlfriend you are one to talk about nonsense. Tashigi always talks about nonesense. Lightning a match in a storm is stupid Beast tamer Smoker's arms became smoke. Smoker and Tashigi are sore losers. Revenge for losing and for Zoro not killing you is also stupid.
