    Hey Brother Good start. I went the whole route on my Road Glide. Love S&S GNX slip ons but wanted the full "airflow" benefit. I decided to do the JackPot 2-1-2 header as well as the S&S stealth breather. My choice on the baffle was to install it as the back pressure it creates produces a bit more torque at really no cost. It produces that perfect deep baritone rumble. Also changed the cam to Woods 22XE. It's a monster and pulls like made. My buddy has an Indian Challenger and it kept right with him until about 4800 rpm and then pulled slightly away. Just returned from a 12 day 5500 mile trip to Banff and loved the sound, pull and performance. Still getting over 42 mls per gallon.

      Thanks man. I've since pulled the trigger on some headers as well. I went with Khrome Works and paired them with the S&S slip-ons. I'll admit that I definitely think 2-1-2 systems sound better, but I like the look of the duel tips on a Road Glide. I also went with the S&S stealth breather and a cam is on the list. I appreciate you watching and pointing out JackPot and Woods, I hadn't heard about those companies until now.

      No problem, thanks for watching. I've got another one coming out soon that pairs the slip-ons with some headers.

    Good video bro. Nice sound but for me still way to quiet. Probably would be perfect with headers and a cam. I have khrome werks and they sound good like that but still to quiet.

      Thanks man. I’ve since paired them with some Khrome Werks headers and it does sound better. I did a video on that pairing as well, let me know what you think - th-cam.com/video/OyXLWOns6rM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_Noe_SoleCOjtXLi

    I have MK45’s on my ‘24 FLHX with the reducers installed. I think they sound and perform best. Without the reducer too loud and lost my back pressure and low end torque. Great video.

      I'm leaning towards running mine with the reducers in as well. Appreciate the input.

    Great video Nick! In the lower RPM's, the sound is very comparable with the stock vs SS w/reducer in (I can't really hear the difference between both). Exhaust sounds louder on high RPM with the SS unrestricted vs stock. I think the real question is where are you feeling the most HP gains for your riding style? Do you want more HP/torque in the low end or high end? Maybe find the exhaust (stock vs SS) that you feel is the most "in the groove" with you.
    Hope that you had a great 4th of July with Steve and the whole family! As always, thank you for your service to our great country brother!

      All good things to think about and some good topics to discuss when I throw the headers on as well. Appreciate it brother, don't be a stranger.

    I have a 24 road glide with krome werks header 2-2 with kW hp plus slip ons with ripper baffles and I have to say you can’t beat KW you should give them a try . It’s probably the sound you are looking for

      I was actually looking at those headers as a possibility. I appreciate the input.

    Did you reuse the gaskets? The graphite ones usually fall apart...

    The DB needs to be out for sure...But you either need to Decat the header or switch out the header to a Aftermarket One to make it not sound like a sewing machine...

    Did you have to tune the roadside after putting the slip on?

    • @Idahoup
      @Idahoup  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Anytime you change the exhaust or air cleaner, you should tune the bike. With that said, I haven't tuned the Road Glide yet, but I'm switching out the headers very soon (working on it now) and I plan on tuning it then. That's the short answer.

      @@Idahoup how long do you plan on riding it before you do the full exhaust and tune?

      @Idahoup  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CoreyBurke-b8y Not long, the headers and the tuner are sitting in my garage.

    Did you notice any change in low end performance with the DB reducers in? Have the same mufflers and I’ve only ran it with them out.

    • @Idahoup
      @Idahoup  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'll be honest, I was mainly looking at it from the sound side for this video. I'll start paying closer attention as I play around with the reducers (in & out) and I'll get back to you on this one.

    • @KCMNHD
      @KCMNHD 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So I ran the reducers over the last few days… less sound and didn’t notice any change in performance. Thinking they won’t be needed unless you decat or switch head pipes. Fuel moto also recommends leaving them out for best overall performance on a stock head pipe.
      I will be leaving them out for now.

    DB Reducer gives more performance since there is more back pressure. M8 Loves back Pressure.

    Heres my advice....after havjng an S&S 2-1 superstreet 'racing' on an m8 softail....it was too quiet for me compared to my V&H big shots.I wouldnt go S&S.Get a shorter pipe for more volume.

    Stock sound's the best

      With no headers, I agree. But go check out my video showing the slip-ons paired with the headers and let me know what you think.
