  • Part of our Ten Minute Treat video series, we're looking at using a single orchid stem, some beautiful red roses and large exciting foliage.
The orchid is a real statement flower with an interesting shape with unusual markings on the 'throat' of the orchid - 2 complementary colours on one flower. This quick 10 minute video will inspire you to be a little more adventurous with your arranging and use all the skills learnt in the previous 'Back to Basics' series.

Thanks Sharon for the wonderful demonstration ❤! Could u do a video on the phoenix design?

I've never heard of a Phoenix Design? But I've looked on google and even though I know the shape and style of the arrangement I've never heard it called a Phoenix design, so I've learned something new today. If you look at some of the wedding urns they are similar in style.

    Loved the design Sharon.
You said you dried your own Eucalyptus what do you dye it with, or do you spray paint it?

This eucalyptus was bought it already died black. But you could use black florist spray paint.

That she doesn’t make a fresh cut on some of the materials is misleading to some who may be novices in floral arrangement. A fresh cut should always be made as failing to do this ensures that your greens will shrivel long before their time. Why would you want to represent this way to beginners?
