I can’t tell you how thankful to God that He brought your videos to me. I lost my best friend and the love of my life husband 2/22/2021 together together together again one day. The two of you are hilarious and the recipes look wonderful!!! For a little while the two of you make me feel at home with your company and take a break from grief. I’m so excited to see and watch this most recent video. I’ve been watching your older videos 2-4 years ago so I’m looking for a new video everyday. Thank you to you both 🙏💞♾
I know what you mean. I lost 4 people right there in a row too. my aunt and then my sister to covid then Daddy to cancer, then mommy with lung disease so bad that it caused a heart attack. then her lungs was getting better and her heart quit. it had almost quit another time. it scared me half to death. they got her back her blood pressure went to low and we could not get her to wake up. then a few days later it quit. they did what they could do. she had a dnr in place. I miss them so bad. I try not tho think about them. I think that is impossible. I still have a good cry pretty often. I really hope that it gets better. i'We appreciate you for being a part of our community. We are so glad to have you. I hope that you will try some of my recipes. try the cherries in the snow. it is so good. its hard to quit eating it. Thank you so much for watching our show. I will be praying for you. its hard to lose friends and family that we love so much. mommy and daddy was married for 65 years. The loss of daddy was so hard on her. their lives were long and hard. we are going to do another video tomorrow. then he will add it in a cpouple of days. so we will see you oon. hang in there
I’m so happy you’re cooking the recipes out of your mother’s tin. Your mom sure had nice handwriting, I can’t wait to see what other surprises you have for us out of her recipe box. This casserole looks delicious-perfect for a cold winter’s day.
I talk to my momma too, Brenda. She has helped me out with a lot of things. Mine will be gone 29 years, February 17th. 😢 Love all of the family recipes. Loves you and David. Y'all are such a hoot.
I do, I talk to her right often. they do continue to help us out with different things. I think that it is because we were raised right. our parents put a lot of information in us and in m opinion when something comes up then we talk to them and for some reason the answer comes to us. I feel like it is mommy or daddy saying, I taught you all about that. Thank God for them and the .60 plus years that I had with them. I still miss the so much. Thanks for watching and God bless you
I've missed watching you Brenda and David I've been sick for a while I have stage 2 throat cancer but I'm feeling a lot better and I can't get wait to get back to watching the shows I miss that little Sadie. God bless you too❤❤❤❤❤❤
Brenda and David this casserole looks delicious! Brenda I would use a lot less stuffing on top keeping the butter the same. Looked like a lot of bread crumbs for the size casserole. Thanks for sharing these recipes. Looking forward to more from the box!
I agree. This recipe (I have the identical recipe from my Gram) is to be baked in a 9x13 baking dish/pan, so if you use any other size baking dish you have to adjust the quantity. And, Ms. Brenda, the I frequents of this recipe are already "cooked" so the only additional cooking time that is needed is to make sure the casserole is warmed completely through. The topping is supposed to be crunchy for texture variation that's why no additional butter is necessary or no instructions to cover the casserole are needed. Happy cooking! 😊
You two crack me up! You guys sound like me and my dear husband 😂 Love this recipe! Missing Sadie, can’t wait till she comes back to visit. Love you all, all the way from Las Vegas 🙏🥰💖
Awesome to hear the story about your uncle Hurla Midciff.. they probably would like a picture of him to hang up in the office or something. David you should do that, live the recipes love the stories the top of that casserole looks amazing crispy an delicious, I will have to cook this. Thumbs up 1000
Thanks for sharing . I can't wait for more series of recipes from the family recipe box. What a great idea. That broccoli recipe looks yummy . I would love to add cooked chicken to the mix. I would love to have you as a front porch neighbor. You are such a blessing.
I love your videos, and you and David have such a great relationship, I love the way you pick at each other it makes my day! Yall always make me laugh 😂 Brenda you look like you've lost weight, and I love the apron!
I am always glad to see your videos It Makes my day I'm happy to see you both I love you both so much I enjoy the videos More than you ever know I suffer from depression and you just make me feel loved and so much better thank you Send Do you love the love in the world❤❤❤❤
My hubby will LOVE this! I was looking through my Grandma's recipes recently, and found one for Tennessee Jam Cake... so I made it. Problem is, I think that ovens in the 60's ran slower than the ones we have today, because I burned the heck out of it! LOL. I talk to my Mom and Grandma when I'm cooking, too... ❤
Your Mom's writing was very nice. People have forgotten how to write well. We cook the acorn squash on the wood stove in a covered cast iron pot and lid. Cut in 2 remove the seeds. Salt, butter, brown sugar, tastes really good. Wrap in foil, takes about an hour depending how hot the fire is going. I do potatoes, carrots and onions together as well. Happy Cooking!
I am so thankful to God for leading me to your videos. I enjoy them so much and I enjoy y'all a lot! I loss my mom,dad and my only sibling recently. I have no family left except my husband, 3 sons and 2 grandchildren. I get really lonely at times. My sons are so busy with their lives I hardly get to see them same with my grandchildren. My mom and I loved making crafts together, going to flea markets and just visiting over a cup of tea. My dad and I would go for car rides just the two of us it gave me a beautiful memory, my brother and I were really close we could talk about everything together especially the Lord. I miss them so much but, thankful to God that we will all see our loved ones again in Heaven never ever being separated again. I bet your mama is making cornbread for everybody in Heaven. I sure enjoyed watching her make her cornbread on one of your old videos. I am excited about your receipes and trying them out. Your mamas veg soup looked so good! I need to rewatch that to make sure I get all of the right ingredients. I also put kidney beans and cabbage in my soup. Love y'all and God Bless🥬🧅🥔🥓🍗🥯❤️❤️❤️❤️ Your broccoli casserole loooks soooooo yummy!
Brenda shes the cutest country woman alive smart cute love how she talks and i love that country kitchen its warm cute relaxing not like new fancy kitchens who look cold this kitchen is so cute nocabinet doors that yellow thing microwave is on love it all the cats back door your country back yard its all country warm happy love you and david do mush food looks so felisius
Brenda I've never really commented but have always watched you both, and I truly enjoy and love exactly how y'all are with each other bc it reminds me of my parents 😍 and I also enjoy how you do everyone of your recipes as well. Anywho, I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy watching your channel and y'all make me laugh as well, Thank Y'all!!! Oh and I would like to know your favorite colors if you don't mind me asking. I hope you and David have a great, bless and warm day and Thank You again From CJ (Lexington Alabama) 😊
Put rice and ham in my broccoli casserole . Like you said you can add whatever you want . This casserole looks pretty dry ; mine is bubbly. I love Pepperidge dressing. ❤❤
My Aunt Bettie used to make this every holiday dinner! No bread crumbs, though. Just cheese on top.The dish was always gone by the end of dinner! Sooo gooder!😊
All you squawking about David, think about it, if it weren't for him, there WOULDN'T BE any videos! He's the videographer! ❤ Keep up the good work, David, appreciate it.
Hiya folks. I'm a habitual pressure canner (AMEN). I believe this would be absolutely fantastic with my pressure canned chicken. Y'all have inspired me. Twice a year I cook for 60+ people (volunteer) and I believe this would be a great way to use up some pressure canned chicken and fill up a good group of folks. Thank you!
This is the only recipe that I use for broccoli casserole! It’s the way my sweet little grandma made it and I think it tastes great! Also I do cover with foil while baking and maybe the last few minutes take the foil off to brown the top a little bit!
Looks so yummy!! Will make this soon..Brenda you are such a good cook and I so enjoy watching y’all!! You are both such special good people ..Wish I lived by you and could be your friend..Take care and can’t wait for the next video 😀😀❤️❤️💖💖🌷🌷🦋🦋🌸🌸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I use bread and butter on casseroles. I will have to try this havent seen one with mushroom soup in it. It would be delicious. I'm sure love your videos
Looks good, I think I'll make it. Maybe a bigger pan so it isn't so deep and the stuffing is spread out more. You said that and I think you're right. And maybe foil too as you said. These old recipes sometimes don't tell everything they just did what they did and assumed it was something you'd know😂 still looks really good.
I have a pyrex dish (9"x7.5" & almost 3" deep) like that and it helps to put it on a baking sheet before putting in the oven. It's very hard to pick up when it's hot! I love it for storage in the refrigerator.
This is Sandra Murray. That looks so delicious! I’m with you, I would have mixed the broccoli in with the soup mixture. I have a broccoli casserole Sonny loved until we had to cut out his salt intake. I might make it for my channel one day.
Looks great 😋 ! I never completely follow the recipe either and my husband says "how are you going to make it the same way again". I say it doesn't matter as long as it tastes good 😂👍 Everything you make looks delicious 😋😋!
Girl you should used that mayo dish beat those eggs lol it’s almost what mayo is anyways. Anyways live to see y’all two go at it. I live watching this channel
Brenda, I could not take my eyes off your poor arm while you were making your broccoli casserole, which looked good. I was wondering what could have happened to you. Glad you addressed it at the end of the video and nothing terrible happened to you. By the way I can't stop making your cherries in the snow, it is delicious. Infact my son is coming for a visit this weekend and I'll be making it again. Thanks for sharing. Stay well and safe.
David.... my Mama made this casserole in the 50's when I was a young girl. It's been around forever. Also, no foil as one mentioned, you want the crumbs to get a little crispy for crunch. I also sit mine on a baking sheet be cause as the soup starts to heat up it will get ''soupy'' and might bubble over the side of your dish.
I think if you had put it in a 9x13 pan the breadcrumbs would have spread out more and you wouldn't have had to cook it longer, and the breadcrumbs wouldn't have gotten so brown. I'm going to make this. It's just a little different than the one I normally use. Thank you for the video. And, yes, come to Texas when the cold weather is gone! I'm a Texan!
I never met a broccoli casserole that I didn't like and that one looks pretty darn good. I'm with Brenda though, I think I would use less topping on it.
Happy to see y’all. Store brand is all good your mom probably watched tv which is all about brands, I don’t know but I do know in the 50s they were all about brands. PS David you been saying you’re gonna get Brenda a dishwasher for years 😂
Brenda, I wonder if your aprons could be sprayed with Scotch guard to help prevent staining? As long as it's safe near the stove, that would take research. Maybe other viewers have suggestions???

I see that some trolls showed up again. One in particular loves to hang out here...nothing better to do. Love your videos, Brenda and David!
I don't care for how she talks to her husband...he's trying to help. I lost my sweet husband 10 yrs ago, and I'd give anything to have him with me.
Rice would be a good addition to this.
Looks great Brenda
Yes don’t let her arms get bruised ☝🏼She’s such a ANGEL 💯🙏❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I love Pepperidge Farm seasoning so I am bound to love this. Thanks!
I always enjoy you both. Reminds me when I was young and spent summers at my grandparents house in West Virginia. I’m 63 and I bruise so easily. ❤

Thanks for posting.
Blessings blessings always
I make this casserole. I put foil over it to keep the topping from getting hard. God bless you all and all who are here❤
11x7 is what you got. It can go into a 9x13 as well. Foil does soften the top.
I'm happy to see y'all. Ihope you're staying warm. 🙏 ❤
Looks super yummy to me. I'll eat your crunches if you dont want em!
Looks good love Nettie
I loved Stuffed Acorn Squash using ground sausage
Thank you for being such a wonderful friend 💖😊
My wife and I noticed you were wearing a pretty bracelet, did David get that for you at Christmas
Brenda, I wonder if your aprons could be sprayed with Scotch guard to help prevent staining? As long as it's safe near the stove, that would take research. Maybe other viewers have suggestions???
She blames David for All her Flaws.😮
Have you made you a cook book .
