Not the janissaries but some of the statesmens had supported him like Topal Recep Pasa(second husband of Gevherhan) had worked to enthrone Bayezid in 1632 when there were riots,but he was executed.
According to some sources even some of the rebels who wanted to avange the execution of Osman II,instead of Murad IV wanted Sehzade Bayezid to ascended the throne as according to them he was Osman's rightful heir as they were full blooded brothers,but the ulema had not accepted that.
That also supports the indirect report of the Venetian ambassador Vallier that Mahfiruze had second son and that was Bayezid.
