Amazing chunk of wood. You did it justice. Always fun to see these Ausi woods turned. Typically stunning when turned, sanded, and finished. Well done my friend.
Well done Daniel - good job on the red gum. I can confirm it is Red Gum (Eucalyptus Camaldulensus). It is darker than usual and that is because it is a burl. Just a tip. Dont ever camp under one of these trees. They have a really bad habit of dropping branches on the calmest of nights. Cheers from the Land Down Under.
Seeing how you make your customised moulds for resin casting would be quite interesting. Lovely bowl but I think I would have gone for a lighter contrasting colour like yellow gold or ivory but the blue looks good too. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the feedback, Mark! It was really close in color to what I saw from Sid, which is why I'm leaning that way. But I've been wring many times before. .. LOL
That looks good Daniel, i like the blue color you used in combination with the wood
Thank you, Hans! I am glad I can listen to suggestions with people in the know on these things! LOL

Thank you very much, Doug! Always appreciate your feedback!
Beautiful Daniel, just beautiful.
Take care my friend.
Cheers, Huw
Thank you, Huw! I appreciate you!
Great bowl. I myself might have used gold or yellow very lightly, just a little bit flashy. Very nicely done love it
Thanks, Bum! Those were some of my other thoughts as well, so we will see down the road!
Great job on this winged bowl. I love the blue in the resin. This red gum burl is beautiful.
Thank you very much, Jean! I am certainly glad I listened to Jen's suggestion!!!!

Thank you for confirming, Ray! I appreciate the feedback, as well as the helpful tip on where to not camp!
Hello from me in England in the UK. I loved watching that! Lovely bowl & the blue is real nice in it. 👍
Hello, and thank you for watching and the feedback! I certainly appreciate it!
Lovely work, Daniel! A real gorgeous piece of art!
Thank you, Andrew! I appreciate that!

Thanks, Colin! I have a piece in mind that I will probably use for a custom mold video!
Great job, Daniel! Beautiful piece!
Thank you, Billy! I appreciate the support and feedback!
Really nice, Daniel. I'm surprised how dark it was after the finish. At first, I was expecting that you would leave the cracks as is.

I originally wanted to leave it natural.... but some of the voids were just too much to guarantee it to stay together.
She's a beauty!
Thank you very much, Scott! I appreciate that!
Madrona burl looks much the same. Nice job, turned out great.
Thank you, Valerie! That was an option, but to me it looked much more like Redgum with the graining. I could be wrong though! Just my guess.
@@TournageDubois Either way, looks good. I live in Madrona country. Have never worked with red gum. Too pricy.
Very nice - what chuck are you using? Haven’t seen any with that orange looking back so just curious.
Thanks you, Jonathan! The chuck I use is a Nova.
Looks a bit dark for redgum. Could be Mallee as you suggested or grey or red box. Thanks for the video.

Wonder what it would have looked like with a gold metallic resin. ❤️ Mom
Might have to try that one of these days! Thanks, Mom!
1st😂
HOORAY!!!!
Yay!
@@williamellis8993 Thanks Bill.
