thank goodness I'm not the only one. That tune has always stayed with me since the first time I watched ice age as a kid and its the reason I'm even listening to this
I remember watching the first film as a kid, and here I am. 18 years old and this music honestly makes me want to cry. It takes me back to a time when me and my parents were more happy.
Eh, unfortunately that's not the case for "Continental Drift" or "Collision Course". They just don't compare to how much the first 3 films meant to some of us when we saw them as kids
I'm kinda wondering why David Newman left after the first film. He made the soundtracks so realistic and it felt like we were really in the Ice Age times.
I came back here to remember not just this movie franchise, but also the production studio that brought it to life. RIP Blue Sky Studios and thank you.
25:02 An outstanding scene with one of the most beautiful soundtracks in the whole franchise. A perfect symmetry between a very moving scene with a soundtrack that just brings it up a notch.
I was just laughing at a video of a guy who has hair like Manny, unti 5:59 part came up in it, and tears just started streaming down my face. It's so beautiful
This is so nostalgic. I remeber loving Ice Age when I was a kid and watching it a thousand times with my dad. It always made me feel safe, and I think that one of the reasons it did, was the amazing music. Thank you for giving me the chance to go back in time and hearing this again
I can always count on the music to make me feel better when I'm not happy or something. The music to me is like a comfy blanket on a cool and rainy night 🌙
I totally think museum exhibits and park attractions everywhere (referring to the actual time period) should play this in the ambience along with sounds of the Ice Age ecosystem.
This was really good, thank you. The coolest part is that I can tell which movie each of the scores came from. Maybe you could of thrown in one or two of John Debney's scores, but I think this is perfect.
By the way, if you take requests, I’ve got a really got one: Walking with Dinosaurs, featuring the musical art of Benjamin Bartlett (the original miniseries), James Brett (the stage show), and Paul Leonard-Morgan (the movie).

It would be great if you make a new version including Batu Sener's tracks from Scrat Tales and Adventures of Buck Wild, there are some very emotional tracks from him (even if the quality of the last film is complicated the score is still very good), a great example of an emotional score from him is "Nut The End" from Scrat Tales.

Good Night Sweet Possums is probably the best one from this entire franchise. I'm sad it's less than a minute long.

The original Ice age is probably an archetype of a story. True masterpiece.

I'm kinda wondering why David Newman left after the first film. He made the soundtracks so realistic and it felt like we were really in the Ice Age times.
He had other shit to do I imagine.
Creative differences I think
Yeah animated movies are supposed to be realistic i think...
David Newman left maybe due to having native music since it had humans but since the humans didn't appears in the sequels he didn't come back
@@TheJuiceisLoose7Not always.

The ice age movies should be popular in animation because no one's ever animated a mammoth before the year 2000

Music:David Newman,John Powell and John Debney(2002-16)
1909-41
How many composers have the last name "Newman?"
Randy Newman
Thomas Newman
David Newman.
Someone explain
Yes, they are related!
David and Thomas are brothers. Randy is their cousin.
Also Alfred Newman (father) was a composer.
Just like Harry Gregson-Williams and Rupert Gregson-Williams and how their related because they are brothers and they are also composers
