Another take on the dying kid commercial is that the kid are all of the innocent people on this island/hex bubble. The yogurt is literally food, and the people are slowly starving to death because Wanda isn't feeding anyone while she uses them for her "show". Notice how the people she doesn't use just gets frozen and moved away from the epicenter (Wanda) and we never see them eat/drink? Remember when the boss tried eating Wanda's "food" in an earlier episode and he nearly dies from choking on it? Food for thought.
@@littlerocker121314 right, but as Vision moved closer to the edge of the hex, Agnes and others were frozen in place because Wanda didn't need them at the time. They weren't eating or drinking. If Westview people are real people, they still need food and water to live. and we never see Wanda feed any of them.
Remember that Wanda retrieved Vision's disassembled body from the SWORD facility and since she is not an engineer she had to rely on her magic to put Vision back together and keep him alive.
I was originally mad that they skipped the 90s, but then I looked it up and Malcolm in the Middle premiered in January 2000. So it's basically a 90s show.
This episode was basically 1990s + 2000s, and the next episode is _Modern Family_ (2009) and _The Office_ (2005-2013). So next week is basically 2000s + 2010s.
It's probably because the family sitcom genre was dying in the end of the 80s. There weren't a lot in the 90s and it wasn't really successful because the family pattern was changing as well. The genre resurrected in the 2000's with shows like "Malcolm in the Middle" that showed a more realistic view of middle-class families. It's just a theory.
now I understand the commercial! It's called "yo-magic" (a.k.a. "your magic") and it's sold "for survivors only" (like the Maximoffs) and we've seen a snippet of an episode where Wanda looks very thin and the mind gem explodes in front of her .... the commercial is saying that Strucker (represented by the shark), offers food to the survivors in exchange for opening the container (the mind stone was kept in Loky's scepter at the time), and the failed experiments represent the child who dies of hunger. Another stormy memory of Wanda.
“At this point, you gotta ask, where are the rest of the Avengers?” Better question: What Avengers? Iron Man and Black Widow are dead. Captain America is old and retired. Thor is off world. Hawkeye is staying retired with his family after all that’s happened. Hulk is a lot less angry now but might be able to help. Ant-Man might be able to help out too, but not much. Spider-Man is having trouble with his identity. Black Panther isn't being recasted. Fury and Captain Marvel are off world. The only logical person who can handle this is Doctor Strange. Let’s face it, the Avengers are dissembled right now. Wait- Dissembled?! Oh shit, this really is leading into House of M!
Honestly, I feel like if Hawkeye knew what was going on, he'd be there. He went to free Wanda when she was under house arrest in Civil War and he was retired then, too. At Tony's funeral they were the ones comforting each other. Of all the Avengers, he's the one to whom she's closest. It actually would not shock me at all if he turned up some time before the season's over, either him or Dr Strange.
Yeah, I wonder too. Maybe that’s why they aged them up. They can keep the same kids and if they do a young avengers by the time it comes out they would be older.
Quicksilver confuses me more than Vision. Vision made sense in context: Wanda is most likely puppeteering his dead body. But what’s going on with Quicksilver? It’s not *actually* her brother, cause if she was actually reviving him it wouldn’t be someone completely random. Maybe she was just seeing things both times and they’re actually alive?
"Why do u look different " It has to be wanda remembering the quicksilver from age of Ultron as being her brother since she has never seen this quicksilver from x-men
Agnes laugh leads me to think that when Vision freed her she realized she'd lost all control of the situation. This is going off the theory she's Agatha Harkins and started the whole thing as some trap to siphon Wanda's power. During Halloween while Wanda's distracted with the kids she likely figured she could just slip out only to freeze up at Ellis ave. and find out she can't leave.
She mentions devil too much. She must be working with Mephisto (My bet is 100% on Pietro - he was basically a villain of this episode, constantly lying to Wanda about his past and he was lying - he is aware, yet he doesnt remember certain facts about her real brother that would be more personal).
Something about Agnes is suspicious, she’s the only person in a catatonic state who managed to communicate with Vision before he freed her mind, and she didn’t go back to a catatonic state afterwards, she just drove off. I think she deliberately drew Vision to the edge of the Hex so he would try and escape. Maybe she knew what would happen and wanted Wanda to expand the Hex?
I think Agnes is a witch who’s working for Mephisto and they’re attempting to drain Wanda of her power and they wanted her to expand to expend it faster
I like how the convention of breaking the 4th wall in modern sitcoms also mirrors Wanda and everyone else's questioning their reality and it ramps up with a Modern Family type episode shown in previews
Watched this a few times now. Billy thinking QS is a vampire actually makes sense and is kinda cool. The whole eating "yo magic" animation. Someone is feeding on Wanda and the boys power. That's how I saw it anyways
Glad to be watching this with you. This season has 3 episodes left and has now opened up a can of more questions. Nice to see the kids get their powers and it seems Vision cannot survive outside the sphere. Agnes has me going nuts and waiting for her to truly spill the beans.
The commercial is a call back to Wanda's childhood in Sokovia.. They touched on this earlier in the episode when Wanda and Pietro were trick or treating as children and were given a dead fish to share. They grew up in poverty and were struggling to survive. "Yo-magic" aka Wanda's powers are how they survived the traumatic events as children. This whole episode touches on Wanda's repressed memories. I think Pietro's character is a manifestation of Wanda's repressed memories coming to the surface.(this may explain why he looks slightly different too)
The Shark Ad is basically telling us that someone is feeding of Wanda. Wanda is the little boy. The little boy is hungry like Wanda is grieving her lost. "I used to be hungry" - Shark "What did you do?" - Little boy (Wanda) "Feed on Yo-Magic" - Shark. Sword is interested with Vision since they moved to robotics. While another entity is interested with Wanda's magic or powers.
Billy breaks the fourth wall... Wanda pulls a Prof. X move (freeze) after doing a Magneto (guns) last episode. Wanda feels "alone" (island), and "empty" (hungry), trying to subsist entirely on her magic. But is she the only one...
After watching this episode for the second time I kind of think the commercial with the kid is saying someone is feeding off of her magic for survival and is helping her keep this going.
It reminded me so much of early 2000's commercials I saw as a kid I automatically tuned it out for a second then I shouted, "Oh right this is a fake commercial!" And I startled my little sister. 😂
Here's something I just thought of obviously Pietro can feel what Wanda needs because remember he is her twin! He's not just her brother he's her twin!
We didn’t see how Darcy was change. Some of the agents were turn into clowns and circus performers. Who is the person Monica contacted last episode, and the one they ate on their way to meet?
18:00 Well... the audio commentary says that he is Pietro from the X-Men universe. And it was already confirmed by Kevin Feige that WandaVision is the beginning of the multiverse trilogy which will continue with Spider-Man 3 and end with Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness
“In fact, you probably have a girlfriend or boyfriend” That stung 😂😅 Well, at least tomorrow is a better day! *Checks the calendar, sees it’s February 14th* FFFFFFffffff.....bruh.
I loved the Speed and Wiccan costumes the kids had. Nice little nod to their costumes in the comics. Also, Hayworth is trying to use Visions corpse to create The Sentinels. His distrust of superheroes, his PTSD of the "snap years" fuelling his paranoia, and he could be following through on Starks wish to have a suit of armour around the world.
Falcon might actually show up this season. He, Loki and Dr. Strange were on an online interview for Wandavision season 1. That's not a fluke. It's either a misdirection or it's true. And Dr. Strange is said to address the multiverse disruption Wanda is causing in his movie, so these aren't coincidences.
Quick connection i wanted to point out. In the scene with Wanda and Pietro talking in front of the theater, there was two movies on the board that didn't release anywhere near each other. It was "The Incredibles" and "The Parent Trap". What these two movies *do* have in common are kids. In The Incredibles, there are two adolescents with powers. Obviously, Dash has speed and violet has forcefield abilities, reflecting Wiccan and Speed. The parent trap has 2 twins that switch places to fool their parents, (perhaps hinting at a future episode). For now thats all I got though haha. Really loved this episode!
Everyone thinks the commercial is a clue but the commercials are all based on Wanda's LIFE UP TO THIS POINT. The last commercial was reference to Ultron-this is reference to Civil War when she was in a straight jacket after the fight. Kid is on an island, like she was in an island prison, and her magic was being just forced down-she probably felt completely dead inside.
They said the cameo would be "internet breaking." Strange is too obvious and everyone expects him, especially since we know Wanda is gonna be in DS2. Gotta be someone huge. Magneto or Prof X would fit the bill. Paul Bettany also said its an actor hes always wanted to work with. Cumberbatch and Bettany have already worked together.
i mean, sure that could be a thing, but the point of mutants is that they're born with it and persecuted because of it, unless they go like the descendants of these persons are going to be mutants or something i don't think it fits, they would be more like inhumans if they take that route. I can see however, time travel getting involved so Wanda or the one pulling the strings, changes something in the past so we have mutants in the present, otherwise as i said, it's more like inhumans, who are kinda born with it but need to have their powers activated.
@@sonnic1995 yeah they would be kinda like inhuman. I'm just theorycrafting. This show just has so much intrigue so I'm pretty hyped to see what happens
When I saw Evan peters in ep 5 I decided to watch the x-men flims, now I have literally watched the 'quicksliver saves everyone scene' 100 times and still watching it. It is truly incredible😭👍
That commercial was terrifying but I think the hungry kid represent Wanda and the Shark represents Nightmare or Mephisto who deceives Wanda in getting what she needs until it kills her.
there’s also the theory that each commercial coincides with a different Infinity Stone. Episode 7 will presumably give us the sixth and final commercial, meaning one commercial per gem. Already, we have a toaster commercial with what resembles Vision’s head. There’s emphasis on the “forehead,” which is the Mind Stone. The watch commercial is naturally the Time Stone. The Hydra Soak soap takes the form of a blue cube, much like the Tesseract/Space Stone. The paper towels are wiping up red liquid and the Reality Stone’s base form is red liquid. That leaves us with this child, reduced to a skeleton and fated to spend the rest of time alone in a desolate land. Sounds very reminiscent of the Red Skull, who is cursed to spend his existence on the planet Vormir, guarding the Soul Stone.
My belief is that Pietro is a different super hero (with super speed )sent in to talk to Wanda as her brother. It explains why he looks different, has no accent and is questioning everything that she is doing. Also explains why she was so surprised to see him, when she would know if she conjured him up. He could've learned certain things from their past and brought that information to use against her to try and figure out what is really going on. (Or that he looks different because she didn't actually have his body, so she can't make him look the same. They said that she stole Vision's body, so could explain why Vision looks like himself, and why he looks different from Pietro from Age of Ultron). Also, I believe that the commercial is just a representation of Wanda's survivors guilt. Seeing her brother again, knowing he's dead, just is bringing out these feelings of regret. It's like she's the kid, with the ability to survive alone but would rather die than be alone on her island by herself.
Especially considering the comment Hayward made about Monica siding with a superpowered individual, the dude definitely feels like an X-Men villain (plus Wanda made the comment last episode to Vision about not wanting to hide her powers anymore, again feels very X-Men).
I think Pietro is like a projection of herself. That's why he knows what she knows. She's asking herself through him how everything happened because she's confused about the whole thing.
I think that commercial represented the fact that Wanda made all of those kids appear after Vision questioned their existence. This makes all of the children products of the simulation, meaning that without magic, the children are dead/nonexistent. The kid in the commercial couldn't open the cup of "yo-magic" and died as a result.
The commercials all seem to represent each infinity stone if you look at the colors of each object in each commercial the correlate to each stone. Even the hydra soap was in the shoe of a cube.
I think in her moment of extreme grief (loss of her parents, brother and finally having to kill her love then see him brought back only to be killed again)....she then states to Thanos that he took everything from her.....they went with the idea of the comics and used her "chaos magic" to do a "no more mutants moment. Her magic just takes over for a moment and does sort of what she wants but doesn't take it to totality. So no more mutants left us with 198, no more loss for this show creates a world where she controls everything. As far as her brother, I don't think he's an anomaly, I think that like vision being someone brought back from the dead, he's outside her realm of total control. And the flashes of seeing them dead is reality trying to assert itself on Wanda, saying hey, this is what it is. As for the kids not being controlled, I think it's the fact that they come from her magic and are therefore immune to it.
Maybe Hayward but pietro dead body in the hex and that was the breach alarm you hear when pietro is showing up. And Wanda's magic just revived him and made him fit in to the sitcom

My theory is Agnes is "good" before the events of Wandavision Agnes found Wanda and tried to help her unlock her full powers, Wanda kind of lost it making the reality, and Agnes was afraid of her power so she played along with everything. Pretty sure Agnes is a witch of some sort.
yea i’m pretty sure she’s the witch agatha harkness from the comics.

@@nicholascainjr6887 I wonder if that's gonna be the next episode or Episode 8. I remember hearing a rumor saying that the last three episodes of the show would be about an hour long and would go "full-out" Marvel style.
Hmmm I like that theory. Darcy said they were still moving just really slow.
@@littlerocker121314 right, but as Vision moved closer to the edge of the hex, Agnes and others were frozen in place because Wanda didn't need them at the time. They weren't eating or drinking. If Westview people are real people, they still need food and water to live. and we never see Wanda feed any of them.
In the commerical
Kid: Tries to open it
Shark: *_It's a simple spell but quite unbreakable_*
Oh shit!!!!
hmmmm how could Wanda know this kind of thing?
@@elhadjhabbouche663 I was hoping they'd do a Friends theme for the 90s, but I guess you're right that it's not really a "family" sitcom.
and the juicy jumpsuit agnes was wearing in the intro is VERY 90’s
I think the last show style will be modern family
now I understand the commercial!
“At this point, you gotta ask, where are the rest of the Avengers?”
Better question: What Avengers?
Spider-Man's not having trouble with his identity, this takes place before Far From Home, he's just in school now.
Spider-Man won't have problems with his identity for another 8 months, actually. Well, closer to 7.
Where the Defenders at?
Honestly, I feel like if Hawkeye knew what was going on, he'd be there. He went to free Wanda when she was under house arrest in Civil War and he was retired then, too. At Tony's funeral they were the ones comforting each other. Of all the Avengers, he's the one to whom she's closest. It actually would not shock me at all if he turned up some time before the season's over, either him or Dr Strange.

I wonder if the twins having powers and probably being real is setting the twins up to be apart of the young avengers in the future?
Yeah, I wonder too. Maybe that’s why they aged them up. They can keep the same kids and if they do a young avengers by the time it comes out they would be older.
Dead quicksilver got me more shook than dead vision
No literally. Vision atleast talked and showed expression but Quicksilver’s ass just sat there all dead and shit
It was the commercial for me
Nah
Quicksilver confuses me more than Vision. Vision made sense in context: Wanda is most likely puppeteering his dead body. But what’s going on with Quicksilver? It’s not *actually* her brother, cause if she was actually reviving him it wouldn’t be someone completely random. Maybe she was just seeing things both times and they’re actually alive?
@@k-master973 but vision died when he left westview

"I used to be hungry" - Shark
"What did you do?" - Little boy (Wanda)
"Feed on Yo-Magic" - Shark.
Wandavision just keeps getting better and better can't wait for the next episode!
After watching this episode for the second time I kind of think the commercial with the kid is saying someone is feeding off of her magic for survival and is helping her keep this going.
For a minute I forgot that commercial was not a real commercial
It reminded me so much of early 2000's commercials I saw as a kid I automatically tuned it out for a second then I shouted, "Oh right this is a fake commercial!" And I startled my little sister. 😂
Here's something I just thought of obviously Pietro can feel what Wanda needs because remember he is her twin! He's not just her brother he's her twin!

Well, at least tomorrow is a better day! *Checks the calendar, sees it’s February 14th*
FFFFFFffffff.....bruh.
His girl was like Ok CALM DOWN lol
Yo-Magic, the snack for Survivors.
That ad basically said: Use "your magic" to survive
Everyone thinks the commercial is a clue but the commercials are all based on Wanda's LIFE UP TO THIS POINT. The last commercial was reference to Ultron-this is reference to Civil War when she was in a straight jacket after the fight. Kid is on an island, like she was in an island prison, and her magic was being just forced down-she probably felt completely dead inside.
As much as I want either Magneto or professor X to show up at the end , I think Dr. Strange is the most plausible person to show up and combat Wanda.
Strange is confirmed to show up. Its not him. He was even in the cast live chat with them all
They said the cameo would be "internet breaking." Strange is too obvious and everyone expects him, especially since we know Wanda is gonna be in DS2. Gotta be someone huge. Magneto or Prof X would fit the bill. Paul Bettany also said its an actor hes always wanted to work with. Cumberbatch and Bettany have already worked together.
@@largetea8475 I’m thinking Reed Richards
Theory: is this how Mutants are born...is Photon Rambo going to be the first mutant? The hex is manipulating the cells...
i mean, sure that could be a thing, but the point of mutants is that they're born with it and persecuted because of it, unless they go like the descendants of these persons are going to be mutants or something i don't think it fits, they would be more like inhumans if they take that route.
The kids were dressed as their comic book alters too. Wiccan and Speed are Wanda's children.
The commercial had a reference to a grim reaper (Skull) which Agnes had a badge of a grim reaper in the first episode.
Wanda literally pressed pause on her show. Plus, Jimmy Woo is a bad ass!
there’s also the theory that each commercial coincides with a different Infinity Stone.
That commercial is a metaphor for what is happening with the townspeople
I love how they are bringing Wanda closer to the comics. In the MCU so far she was basically Jean Grey.
Sword needs Vision's body to create sentinels.
Especially considering the comment Hayward made about Monica siding with a superpowered individual, the dude definitely feels like an X-Men villain (plus Wanda made the comment last episode to Vision about not wanting to hide her powers anymore, again feels very X-Men).
@@schmuck.on.wheels exactly
No joke that was my theory sword is using his body to create sentinels and are funded by trask
That commercial got DAAAARRRRRK
I think Pietro is like a projection of herself. That's why he knows what she knows. She's asking herself through him how everything happened because she's confused about the whole thing.
I think that commercial represented the fact that Wanda made all of those kids appear after Vision questioned their existence. This makes all of the children products of the simulation, meaning that without magic, the children are dead/nonexistent. The kid in the commercial couldn't open the cup of "yo-magic" and died as a result.
Neither glitched nor sleeping kids can eat. And now Wanda expanded the field.
If Strange does get involved, I'd really like to see their interaction. Afaik, those two have never even talked to each other on screen
The commercials all seem to represent each infinity stone if you look at the colors of each object in each commercial the correlate to each stone. Even the hydra soap was in the shoe of a cube.
9:02 Funny, you should mention because the first episode of AYAOTD: Curse of the Shadows premieres tonight.
Saying "NoLastName" during a Malcolm in the middle intro?
I like it.
Maybe Hayward but pietro dead body in the hex and that was the breach alarm you hear when pietro is showing up. And Wanda's magic just revived him and made him fit in to the sitcom
now this idea i like
