I put one on the end of my folding PCC because it looks better then a thread protector and adds a negligible amount of weight and length to the barrel. Its better then a thread protector essentially
i think a chunk port would be money better spent on a compensator for a CC firearm like a 43x. I have one of these micro comps floating around a spare parts box because its better than a thread protector but as far as comps go a ram jet, chunk port, single port pmm, pretty much any other comp on the market is better (and twice to triple the price obviously).
The model with the S at the end of the product number GAMCC1228S is for the Glock 43/43X/48. These barrels index off the muzzle not off the barrel shoulder.
I've heard that the the Griffin Armament Micro Carry Comp doesn't do as well as the HB Industries Micro Comp. I'd be interested to see how it stacks up against the Strike Industries Micro Threaded Circle Comp.
@@wanderingcalamity360Yup. I think the reduction in recoil is felt a taaaaad bit lit with the HB industries comp. I also want to try the Lakeline comp. It has a single port so it has to be timed. That’d be interesting.
I've got one of these, and darned if I could tell the difference with or without it. Sometimes I think I notice a difference with it on (M&P 2.0 4.25" barrel) and sometimes I think that's just my brain trying to trick me into believing that I didn't waste 40 bucks on this thing lol. I just got a Saurez Carry Comp in the mail today, gonna try 'em side by side this weekend and see how things shake out. I like the idea of a compensated pistol for carry, I just haven't quite found a fit that I like.
@@JARG gotcha I like the look and reviews on the pmm but the few reviews I've seen you have to run a higher grain ammo which is ultimately no big deal but most of what I have on hand now would be too light to make it cycle properly
pistol lights are designed to operate under the barrel of a pistol, if you have a reputable light you shouldn't have to worry about it. I have a X300 that sits flush with my staccatos barrel and i have had no issues yet with about 1300 rounds through it and a Glock 19x with a comp which sits a little behind the light head of my TLR-1HL and it has about 3,000 rounds on it.
the Micro comp special might be coated differently. One looks shinier than the other

i use a a cheap ebay brake, same thing, puts a bit of sound down range.
Bro will never drop that 43😂
Really good review very informational I like your vibe how you seem honest and helpful definitely going to Subscribe

Interesting. Appreciate the info.
I have one of em. Like it a lot. Reviewed it on my channel. Put it up against the Hb industries comp. Cool video, man.

Check 2 other comps videos on my channel. They better 100%. I have the Arc Division on my G43 carry
Cav, where did you get your Suarez comp? Out of stock on their site.
Hey I like your calibrated hand 😊
Cool. I like this vidoe, and i like how you dont drag shit out.
Liked and subscribed.
Nice gen 3
Did you have to run a higher grain ammo for it to function properly? I've been looking at some comps recently and some comps do require that
No just normal ammo. I have been more impressed with the Tyrant T comp and the ARC Division comps

I especially like the concept of hot burning gasses on top of your flashlight bezel ... brilliant~!
Glad you like it!

Can you let me know of the compensator came loose after shooting rounds through it - I have on a SIG and it get loose.
I use a rubber o ring. This kept it from getting loose
What size wrench is that
5/8
@@JARG so weird my 5/8 wrench want fit my griffin micro comp 13.5 lh threads Sig. I had 16mm wrench that worked but I lost it and my 5/8 not working
If you want a cool looking thread protector its great, as a comp it does literally NOTHING no matter what ammo is used or what firearm I put it on.
I say very minimal. Looking at new comps now
For me it feels like a 10-15% reduction over having it off. Atleast with heavier ammo
Ran mind today. Felt and seen no difference.
Yes less that 10%. I would say
I just got the Arc Division SPARC 43 Comp for the G43. Review will be out tomorrow
Hint on the SPARC Worth it
@@JARG thats a real comp. Should run alot better than the griffin muzzle break
@@StylesBlender hint hint. It does
