hahah, i can tell she's going to cry this entire show, because it is basically just about family and parents.
Fun fact about Lee Jung-ha, the actor who plays Bong-seok: on 97, in the beggining of his acting career, he auditioned for a kpop survival show, because he once dreamed of being a kpop idol. Let's say that he failed his audition, since his dancing skills were severely lacking. Even so, he ended up being selected to remain in the competition basically because the program judges found him cute and adorable, telling him that he was gaining a spot but he would have to try twice as hard since he was lacking compared to the other candidates. He didn't make to the final, due to an ankle injury, but I'm glad his acting career is going well. He really seems to be a nice young lad.
just a little fun fact : i'm not sure if the subtitle showed, but Bongseok's initial KBS also stands for Korean Broadcast System so huisoo would have thought it was funny. and the name bongseok itself is really old fashioned and funny name for a young boy so that's why he hesitated to tell his name lol.
one more thing, there actually is that 'bungaeman' show in real life and still on air on EBS.

I know you're excited but please keep secret on what to expect. Keep them surprised on revelations, they will know eventually on who's gonna appear. Let them judge themselves on who's to love or not. It's much more fun to watch them surprised than to know what to expect early on. Maybe you love some characters, but the others may not think the same as you do.

The woman at the butcher shop made the comment about her carrying a big baby because it is a common characteristic of Koreans to be curious and interested in others and to offer advice. However, even if it is a common trait among Koreans, it can sometimes make even Koreans uncomfortable or lead to misunderstandings. She got angry with the butcher shop lady who was meddling without knowing that she was holding her baby to prevent it from floating in the air at first. She realized that the butcher shop lady's son had a mental disability upon seeing her son repeating the same word with strange tone, which is why she apologized for finding her comment uncomfortable.

please don't defend the toxic old korean people behaviour of nosing about other people's business as a cultural 'characteristic' when it's clearly stemming from lack of ignorance and learning common courtesy. in the case of the scene, she was only empathising so she may be excused but definitely not in everyday situations. it's just downright rude and needs to change, full stop.
Honestly, as a Korean international that isn’t true.
It is not a cultural trait to be nosey to strangers.
It has actually nothing to do with culture but people.
In Asia and the West or anywhere else you can find nosey folks. Also many that are not nosey. That’s a personality thing, not a national mentality.
We need to remember that Kdrama and movies are not an accurate reflection of society.
Just like Hollywood movies are not an accurate depiction of American society. Some of it is true but most of it is romanticized, dramatized or exaggerated because its a show.
I see a lot of foreigners make the mistake to assume that Korean drama is a precise display of Korea and it’s culture. But it’s just as loosely accurate as American TV shows.

This actress took a risk playing role of a mother when she is not even that old she took this challenging role when she literally played a high schooler herself in her previous series even if it was for few minutes she usually plays female lead characters so it's her first role where she is playing mother to a high school kid
