Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman that defined the character for millions of fans the world over, has tragically passed away. In tribute to his incredible legacy and the body of work he leaves behind, today I have decided to celebrate what his performance meant to me by sharing my Batman: The Animated Series action figure collection.
This collection is not complete; it's my figures -- the ones that mattered to me. And with such an incredible library of voicework in animation and games inspiring toys over the years, I am also electing to focus only on the 5" scale lines by Kenner and Mattel.

Adam West and Kevin Conroy are still two of the greatest incarnations of Batman we ever had.
    May they never be forgotten.

Same, I might not have had nostalgia for Adam West's Batman as I did with Kevin Conroy's Batman (*which I mean no offense to those who do.) besides my other favorite Batmans like Rino Romaro,Diedrich Bader, and Roger Craig Smith even tho' then again I did also love Adam West's voice as his Batman parody from The Fairly OddParents called "Catman".
But both of their Batmans did inspire me to make my own Batman OC's based on both of them as my OC Batman team would be also called "The Bat Brothers" and the best part about them is? not only as their personalities would be based on both Adam West's Batman with alittle bit of bodacious touch of the 1987 TMNT? the Bat Bros' costumes, gear, and vehicles would also be also based on the concepts of the BTAS toylines that I also thought were fun too when I looked them up imo such as Crime Squad and D.U.O. Force😄

Kevin Conroy was definitely my first Batman. He may have been my first superhero ever, honestly. I didn’t even know of the show, actually, I saw the action figure from Kenner in a toy flyer that got mailed to my house the same day I heard some kid talking about him at pre-k. It was a Combat Belt Batman, and I became aware of the show shortly after I got him. Like with most 90’s kids, the journey was made backwards into comics after first being introduced to Spider-Man and the rest of the big staples on Fox Kids, but Batman was always more special than the rest and, for me, Conroy’s take was definitely a huge part of that at the time.
Say what you want about the whole DC vs Marvel thing now, but Marvel will NEVER have a show (live action or otherwise) as good as Batman: the Animated Series, and for that matter, I don’t think DC will again, either.
Thank you for making this great tribute to Kevin, and cheers!

You just gave a perfect eulogy that probably rivals what will or was said at Kevin Conroy's funeral at the end there. RIP Kevin Conroy, you will be missed, but every time someone watches the Batman the animated series, or plays Batman Arkham, we will remember how legendary he was.

That Kenner Mr. Freeze Headsculpt is literally perfect, it captures the spirit of the character. I think it’s helped by his lack of a smile and they didn’t have to paint his eyes but I can just imagine hearing his cold robotic tone so easily.

I'm fairly certain that Mask of the Phantasm was my first-ever exposure to Batman. I remember seeing the VHS cover at a video store and thinking it looked cool. Renting it likely helped in starting my lifelong interest in Batman. Thank you for everything, Kevin Conroy

I met the man once at a Wizard World Chicago, and he was way nicer than i could ever imagine, so cool, i was in awe, couldn't think of anything to say to that big smile, but "great meeting you". 3:15 Batman with red tights is what Bob Kane originally designed Batman to have. Co-creator Bill Finger is the reason why Batman has grey tights.

Correct. It also matches how the Italian edition movie poster re-colored Adam West for the 1960s movie. Google Italian Batman poster to see what I mean.

I’m only 21 but luckily there was the Hub channel at the time so I was also able to come home after school & watch Batman: tas around 4 after doing homework. I still remember the chills I got they way Batman defeated bane lol. Sometimes they’d play the ‘66 batman series too. Arkham city just came out & we had that one legacy edition city batman figure with the traditional blue & grey colors & the yellow & black emblem…
With all of the batman content, toys & media at the time I was eating it all up; & with Kevin Conroy & Mark Hamill at the center stage of it all, this is a very detrimental blow on mine & the childhoods of the many fans of Kevin Conroy.

    Nice video :D
I remember my first time watching BTAS which was on Jetix after watching my first Batman cartoon which is 2004 on Kids WB, and yet when I also found out that the show use to have a toyline when I watched a toy commercial of it on TH-cam while as a kid after also knowing that before Hasbro existed it was Kenner? I was surprised and imo I gotta say, these BTAS figures along with TAOBAR,TNBA, and Beyond are pretty cool imo, even the Batman figure from Mattel's Justice League TAS/Unlimited toyline too since I grew up with all of those DCAU shows besides other Batman series' like 2004,The Brave and The Bold, and Batman Unlimited (2015-16) after all :)
Also, I know they aren't on this video even tho' I also never had any of them, but I think my favorite series of the BTAS toyline would have to be Crime Squad and D.U.O. Force since even tho' some might think they aren't accurate to the show or comics? I always thought they seemed to be pretty cool concepts since they also gave me the idea to make my own Batman OC's based on those pretty cool concepts after all👍
RIP Kevin Conroy, may both his and Adam West's legacies as Batman live on.

My cousin had that same bane, without the wrist clip and tube, but we used to use him so much. We had these ice ball things from some other toy we made him throw at batman.
Similarly the joker holding the card is a mold I had, mine was well loved and a ton of the paint is torn up, as a kid I used to pretend the card was a stick of gum and due to the soft face would make him bite it haha
