I love, love, love, this card. It's so elegant. I'll have to give it a go since I have both embossing folders.

Thank you! I think it would look good in other colours too. Do you have combo in mind?

@@thinkingstamping9427 I want to try this with Pretty Peacock and mat it on either embossed gold foil, like you did, or maybe the Lost Lagoon shimmer paper. I agree with you that this technique would look great using Night of Navy.

@@christinehurley8236 The Pretty Peacock sounds great. I haven't seen the shimmer paper in person so can't comment on how that would look except to say it sounds right. 🙂

This is a very beautiful card. Found you a few weeks back, a newbie to card craft and unsure of a lot of things. What is the size difference between embossing folders, you mentioned 3D. My die cutting m/c is 6ins wide, a beginners one, not very expensive. I have a spellbinder folder which fits OK. Loved the 3D folder you used but unsure if I should buy it. I have subscribed. 😇 Anne 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇳🇿

Anne, I'm glad you've subscribed and are liking what I'm doing. The folder is called 3D because in Stampin' Up!, if they are labelled 3D it lets you know the right 'sandwich' for the die cutting machine and often (but not always) they have a deeper pattern in the emboss. Those not labelled 3D have a different 'sandwich' in the machine. This particular folder is 6" wide. I'm not sure what machine you have but some of my class people use Cuttlebug. They tell me that the 6" folders only just fit. The Stampin' Up! one is wider so takes them easily. The other problem they've had is finding the right match of plates to get the 'sandwich' right. Each machine is a bit different anyway so it's usually a matter of experimenting with the different thickness plates, maybe using a shim (like a piece of card or folder photocopy paper) until you work out the right mix. I've only ever had one person who couldn't find a mix that worked with a SU folder and a different machine and I haven't actually tried her machine myself to see if I can get it going for her. So, while it will probably work with your machine, I can't be 100% certain on it. I hope that helps. :-)
