I swear if I see another 2050a.... just kidding, its not bad but I think I have replaced enough color wheels in both optoma and benq. I want to make some about the lamp timer chips but I'm afraid less honest sellers would take advantage of it.

I find it interesting to see the inner workings and surprised that they still use a colour wheel. Maybe one day you will get a newer triple laser projector in for diagnosis. Dear Frank, have a question that might seem nonsense but, there is an alternative use that we are thinking. Would it be possible to use the projector without the phosphor wheel (maybe by scratching the phosphor off) and by disabling the color wheel? We need a projector that can put out only blue light at 450nm and it would be great if there is a way. Thank you.
Doesn't sound like Nonsense at all! SLA printer use? Is there a way we can connect? This is possible. It should be fairly "reasonable" to accomplish. I won't say easy but I do have some ideas on how it could be accomplished.

I just bought the same projector but its making an odd humming/buzzing noise when the lamp is on. I thought it might be the phosphor wheel fan so I took it apart but now I have a feeling the noise is coming from the phosphor wheel itself... Any advice? Is it possible to replace the wheel or is it even worth it trying? Projector works perfectly, besides the noise. Any suggestions really appreciated!

Also from what im watching, there is no exact replacement fan so ill have to do some micro soldering for sure? Great video as its the only video on youtube that's matched my exact issue, thanks!!
This is a weird one. There is no fan that will work out of the box so to speak. But it is doable. Do you have contact info on your page? I'll get in touch if you want.

@@FixitFrank so update! I did the repair and followed your jumper placement and wiring and the projector has been working so far! It would usually only stay on for about 5 minutes then beep off but I've tested it and it's stayed on for up to an hour straight so I'm hoping I did something right! Thank you so much for you help!!!
I keep getting the same fan error message with blinking and shutdown after repairing my projector with the correct infrared detector and bulb glass coating,something is also wrong with the speakers too its making static sounds at max volume and ive unplugged the speakers and reseated it multiple times nothing seems to work ,any idea how to fix any of these or reset the dlp projector.
@FixitFrank the main problem I'm still having after replacing the scammed aftermarket parts is a color issue all the colors are blue and have no contrast from light and dark ,like a photo negative I'm convinced the DMD chip is damaged nothing else could cause the issue ,I've checked the color wheel made sure its functioning and the sensors werent covered by dust,the lenses are clean no dust inside the reflectors, im positive the dmd chip was damaged from a cheapo lamp housing the colors are dark blue and look like oil with purple ,green,magenta in the contrast areas ,it has a distorted left side that's blurry and won't adjust to the correct clarity when I change the lense focus ,if you can recommend anything to for me to fix I'd be thankful .
@FixitFrank my projector is an 4k acer h7850 ,the dmd 2715-7039P I can't find it on texas instruments, except from random sellers on other sites so it must be out of stock ,the new color wheel part I purchased is COLOR WHEEL 23.7BY19G001 17S220E120 FOR OPTOMA PROJECTOR it says it's compatible with my projector model too.
@FixitFrank I've just found a very similar dmd chip with dlp and 4k and it's the newest model in stock called 350 pins DLP781TE ACTIVE 0.78-inch, 4K UHD ProAV DLP® digital micromirror device (DMD) any idea if it's compatible with my 4k dmd chip 2715-7039P 350 pins ,i dont know what the 0.78 in is suppossed to mean i assume its important to get right.

That might be normal. Projector speakers are not high quality and they are sort of a 'convenience'. What model projector do you have?
