Input lag fixed on a software update! And “motion” now has option to turn off or (low, med, high) i put mine on low! This projector is very good for gaming!!! kHz are high!!!
Hello bro, do you still recommend this model in 2024? I'm in the need of both portable and quality one like this and can't decide between this and M2e. I read and heard from users that M2e doesnt support hdr over hdmi. Is it true because of that hdmi 1.4 port? If we use other ports cant we still get hdr from M2e? I would like the newer and a bit smaller M2e but this hdr thing rotates me to M2.
I really wish it were good for gaming. No bulb replacements, compact size (for outside, friends/family's homes) and much brighter than any of the other LED projectors I've looked at for a similar price. Thanks for the review! :)
Urgent answer needed!!!!!!! Can you use any brand Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle with this projector. I've misplaced mine and ordered a TP Link one but not sure whether it will work? Also finding it hard to source spare parts in the UK
Hey ! Does your connect to wifi automaticly after restart? Mine I have to manually connect everytime and most of the times i have to click connect like 2-4 times before it actually connects. Is it broken?
it says lamp free but when i went on there site it needs a lamp change after 30,000 hours is that trust if so you faill to mention it and you are voiding some serious issues
For about 650$ I think a big TV is much better for specially image quality. The best thing about it is that it is portable, small plug and play device. They could have done better job with the OS though
@@diujay yes, there is an option in settings now, or if you set it to movie mode it defaults to disabling it. Disabling it also improves the input lag. They also didn't lock it down so you can hook up a keyboard and install third party app stores through chrome with root. It runs Android 6 though so a lot of newer apps aren't compatible.

Its actually rather smart, devices that emit wifi need and expensive certificate, moving this to a cheap plugin dongle makes the cost of certifiying (CE marking) significantly lower!
ViewSonic makes ok Projectors, but their operating OS systems are terrible. !!!!!So basic, you have to put a firestick in the back of their projectors. (It's hell trying to get their basic operating systems to play TH-cam and lots more basic apps that should be pre-loaded, but they're not !!!!!.) OK, this is solved by putting an Amazon fire stick in the back of the Viewsonic m2 projector. Then we come to the sound, OMG. I have heard better/louder sound on my mobile phone, there is no Base at all even with the sound adjusted to its maximum base !!!!! They say Harmon Kardon speakers are built-in. HAHAHA, how disappointed you will be. Then the Keystone correction has a massive bright border shadow !!!!! that is so distracting !!!!! (that's when the keystone works properly). good points !!!! good picture in a dark room/ and the projector looks good and runs quiet. (would I buy it again !!!! no way there are much better projectors out there for the same amount of money).
When setting up the projector in a way that no keystone adjustment is needed, the input latency should get better.

Is that the motion smoothing can be turned off? as this was putting me off getting one as every films looks like cheap video with motion smoothing on.
@@simonhindle4220 Yes, you have the option of turning it to off, low, med or high now!🙂
@@jasoncompany_8103 thanks man! Great update
The smoothing was most certainly causing the input lag. I’d like to see another test with the smoothing set to off.

But is it good for projecting "movies of an adult nature" onto the side of Parliament / Westminster palace?
D'ya know. Probably not.
I would love it

The wifi dongle is a good idea as you can choose the security of the device.

I wonder how GamePass would work on this. Sideload the APK file on to it and stream a game. Wonder if that'll help with the HDMI delay.
hello i have an lg sound bar with bluetooth and optical audio, can i connect this projector? thank
What about LG projector in same price range ?
Hey i will buy viewsonic px 701hd or viewsonic m2e. Which project u guys advice? I dont play game. I just want to use it for movies.
Thanks for review .
What about viewsonic m2 Vs LG CineBeam PF50KS
Do you have review for LG CineBeam PF50KS
?
Ouch the motion smoothing... well. If you cant turn that off thats a definite skip. Movies usually run at 24fps, unless you're watching The Hobbit.
The wifi dongle design is actually a good thing coz you can upgrade to faster wifi in the future
Which is a bit contradictory if you consider it embeds a 4.0 bluetooth instead of 5.0 lte
Nice information..Wats the price for this?

Can I download DAZN to this projector?
So without Google spying crap? Amazing - that is actually great thing.

Do you think they will update that always smooth motion thing?
They already did in a firmware update.

Keep projector 75-80 inches for best image and lumens!!!
This is exactly what I need because I'm facing huge power cuts.
If only it was half the price lol
Are you okay?
Is the 1200 lumen real? I'm highly skeptical.
If you are referring to ANSI lumens, Its only about 500
you should of put a flash warning
wifi is designed that way to make certification faster, faster to the market .
The USB wifi is REEEEEALLY weird...
Is it perhaps possible to upgrade that wifi stick for better connectivity?
Its actually rather smart, devices that emit wifi need and expensive certificate, moving this to a cheap plugin dongle makes the cost of certifiying (CE marking) significantly lower!
It should be very easy but mirroring via your iPhone is a disaster
this vs wemax who is better
Lets be clear though, ViewSonic has this listed at only 500 ANSI lumens so nothing impressive here.
Xgimi z6 rebranded looks like
