the poor teen 😂 not only is the only bathroom through their parents’ room, but they can’t even get to that side of the house without going outside first
LOVE this challenge! Some logistical suggestions: maybe use the centre room as the reference for the direction, so if you need to build east, the room just needs to be generally east from the centre room, not necessarily directly east of the previous room. So this might help the potential getting-stuck-in-the-basement issue too lol or the issue I was worried about was getting "up" and then getting "up" again with like only a hallway on the second floor or something hahah I would LOVE to see this challenge again sometime, but with maybe a little more leniency for yourself so we don't accidentally explode your brain lol
This was so chaotic and I’m living for it. The random studio apartment below the garage with no bathroom access, the teen bedroom off the dining room, the multiple points of entry. Hahahaa
First- the camera spin down to the basement was a trip. This was SO fun and chaotic. Deffo needs another bathroom though. PLEASE do another one of theses.
You could totally use the rooms from this house for a puzzle piece challenge, the rooms look so good and it would be satisfying for them to get rearranged into a more "normal" floor plan to make use of that hallway etc
I think you def should’ve done one more room after the teen’s bedroom for the bathroom 😅 bc having the only bathroom in the house as an en-suite through the parents’ room sounds miserable for both the teen and the parents lol😂
I feel like the size might have been a problem, but also would love to see you spin for direction and room? Or like someone else said, maybe use your first room as the direction anchor? A garage in the middle of the house, basically? LOL. What a fun, chaotic concept.
Like the idea. You should ditch the randomized sizes and randomize the room type instead. Keep the up and down options but down means down a floor and up means up a floor.
lol. In that first bedroom, the lights on that tv didn’t size down properly (like how flames won’t size down with candles), so there’s just this little blue dot chillin’ above the tv.
This house looks like it’s built for parents who are gently trying to convince their kids that they are old enough now to move out or just frankly to get away from them😂
I’ve seen this idea in other comments sometimes, but maybe for next time on the compass challenge try incorporating aspects of Feng shui!!! (Such as incorporating corresponding colours, materials, and even skill items)
the attempt at being deep with "up" looking like "dn" which means "down" made me lol in a quiet hallway, it was the "what did i even mean by this" that really got me too LMAO😭
Ooooo yes definitely add in the ‘every room is a different random room’ on top of this! But also keep the randomized size! (Just maybe make the minimum a little more mini then 9 lol) But this challenge looks so fun, but I don’t think I’d be able to ever do it bc all my sims rage quits have come from doing floorplans lol
This was so chaotic we liveeee. But like what about "every room is a random room" but it has to be 2 types of rooms in 1. Like spin twice and combine them into one room, ie first spin study, second spin kitchen. Worst you could get is a kitchen/bathroom lol
1 minute in when you told us how to freely rotate objects: THANK YOU, nobody else specified that and I was cursing myself for not being able to do cool stuff other sims build youtubers can, I had to google how to do that because nobody else said it needs sims 3 cam setting on and it's a life-saver.
it’s a wednesday. i’m a directioner. i’ve watched two videos in a row where you’ve mentioned one direction. i don’t know how to feel. i love the relatability of randomly think abt missing one direction.
This was such a fun video! There are a bunch of ways to make the challenge easier but i feel like the way this is was already pretty fun. I feel like the only thing I'd change is leave the up and down thing from the start, but it's all in relation to the ground floor. So there could be a second floor or a basement; if you're on the basement and you spin and it lands on down again, you just keep building in the same level of basement and spin again like normal for directions and size. If you're on the second level and spin for down you go directly to the basement. And if you're on either the second level or the basement and you land directly on a direction you go back to the floor level i guess? I think that makes sense, so there'll probably be more rooms on the ground floor than on the other levels. I can still see some possible chaos with this system but it'd be in more specific and unlikely situations
This was so fun! I love how you build realistically, as you said that not everything has to be perfectly matched to still look nice. It made it really enjoyable to watch and puts the fun back into playing. Will definitely be trying this one!!
Alright I'm doing this challenge right now and here are the rules I'm using/how I'm playing: Started with front entrance because South could still be the front porch or front yard and I could realistically continue to build off of that. Also added stairs for possible later connections that could be removed easily just in case. Did use your rule of only starting to use Up and Down after a few rooms were built About 3/4 through the room I did the next room spin (but not the size spin, that was a surprise for when I actually started the room) so I could see where it was going and adjust if necessary before adding in clutter that would be really tedious to move around. If a spin made it so my only option was going back into another room I let the challenge be to rearrange both rooms to connect without losing objects. Then I would spin a direction from that room and add another exit to it These made it a bit easier without making it boring.
I think it'd be really cool if you randomized the direction and size while building a floor plan to get a wacky shell, then maybe decorate it at the end? Or if you wanted to go even further, you could spin a wheel to decide what each room would be
I liked all the rules you had, they made sense! The only thing that didn’t make sense was placing doors before you knew where the next rom was going to be haha
All the above😂😂😂 first direction (including up, down and dual direction like North East, North West, up North etc), then size, then room type, then colour scheme (rainbow, pastel, neutral and chaos), then pack.
🧭I am so, SO sorry 😭 the curse of weird noodle house even strikes the professionals. You did SO GOOD with what you were given regardless. Maybe the house is like that because it's a movie set? Like, each different "section" is used for a different TV show made by the same director so they just built them all in once place or something? Then tried to make it look like a house to sell it after they went bankrupt??? Again, you did really super well though 😭 you wouldn't even know about the horrors inside from just looking at it.
At first, I thought this meant like each room having items/flooring/wallpaper representing the directions and was really curious to see what exactly that meant, like maybe polar bear stuff for the north room or something.
You should definitely do this again. Maybe have the regular compass wheel and then a wheel with "up" , "down" and "stay." (As in, stay on the same level you'r currently on.) You can have four above-ground floors and four below ground floors so it could get pretty interesting. I'd add the caveat to spin the up/down first and, if there's no room there, you can build directly under/over without spinning the compass wheel.
North, South, East , West, Northeast, Southeast, Northwest , Southwest for 1st wheel. Up, down, stay on same floor for second wheel . 24 possible options of direction.
Love the random size aspect but not gonna lie it really stressed me out that you made the entryway a square instead of filling out the gap Really hope you do this again✨️✨️
I read another comment where you do NESW based on the middle room. I think that would be a good idea. Keep the up down and random size though. That was cool!
You can do this challenge without furnishing first. Like spin the directions and the number of tiles, do the shell and then when you are done, figure out the layout
I think it would be cool to do this again but to make a shell. You don't add anything to the rooms until the "shell" is done. That way, it might flow better, but it still has chaos vibes.
Sarah, i think for the next time you do this challenge, instead of doing it connected to the previous room, just do it in the direction north east south or west.
Hey Sarah! Started watching recently but I was given a video from 3 years ago. And I’m am now waiting for the brother reveal at 100k, can’t wait for it LOL
I don't know if this would be more chaotic or less chaotic, but what if up and down just copy the shape on the room you're working on, and then the next room after that would be on rhe first floor again.
It looks normal from the outside but the inside was a drunken mistake. Like they cook food have to go out side and around to get to the dinning room. Not only does the teen get there own space with a living room and dining room but they have to go outside walk around to the parents side of the house then go into the parents bedroom to get to the bathroom. Also who ever lives in the basement also has to leave their space, go outside and then into the parents bedroom to also use the bathroom. Might as well just add an outside door to the bathroom at this point lol.
I would to See more of these 😂 but maybe if xou spin the Direktion you can choose where it goes on the house and Not from the last room you build. I hope that makes sense 😊
This house is giving the mansion from the original Resident Evil, so many doors, so many confusing rooms... You just forgot to add the underground lab 😂
For basement and upstairs you could just do x amount of rooms and then spin the wheel to see if you do an upstairs or basement and then continue from there. Cause I like the idea of it, the execution was just a bit off. (Also if you do do another bedroom please add another bathroom that poor teen shouldn't have to walk that much just to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night *sobs*.)
The fact that the one bathroom in this house is only accessible from the parents room as the teen and the basement person would have to traverse outside to get there with the cherry on top that the bathroom somehow doesn’t have a single window 😂😂😂😂😂
u should do this again but instead of picking the room, randomise the room so like basically ur choosing the direction, the size and the room type from the wheels, idk if u have done that yet but yeah
the poor teen 😂 not only is the only bathroom through their parents’ room, but they can’t even get to that side of the house without going outside first
Even the apartment downstairs has to use the parents bathroom lol
I need at least 10 more of this exact same challenge. The chaos is hilarious.
Also obsessed with how normal it looks from the outside. You nailed the roofing. 🧭
Yesss (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧✧ʸᴱˢ

Imagine spinning the wheel to get a 40 tiles bathroom by teen's bedroom lol
@ welp um yea, that definitely would’ve been interesting lol
That would’ve COMPLETELY changed how the exterior looks that’s for sure😂
I feel like the size might have been a problem, but also would love to see you spin for direction and room? Or like someone else said, maybe use your first room as the direction anchor? A garage in the middle of the house, basically? LOL. What a fun, chaotic concept.
I think that it would be fun if u did a video where every room is a different material(one is plastic, one is stone, one is wood...)
yessss
Like the idea. You should ditch the randomized sizes and randomize the room type instead. Keep the up and down options but down means down a floor and up means up a floor.
🧭 This video was so fun!! I think the randomized room size made it a lot more interesting

"My clutter and I against the world!" I felt that way too hard 😂
the attempt at being deep with "up" looking like "dn" which means "down" made me lol in a quiet hallway, it was the "what did i even mean by this" that really got me too LMAO😭
this one was crazyyy imagine living in this house 😭 adding up and down was unhinged, never change sarah
Ooooo yes definitely add in the ‘every room is a different random room’ on top of this! But also keep the randomized size! (Just maybe make the minimum a little more mini then 9 lol)
But this challenge looks so fun, but I don’t think I’d be able to ever do it bc all my sims rage quits have come from doing floorplans lol
this feels like it should be called the out of control challenge i love it
This was so chaotic we liveeee. But like what about "every room is a random room" but it has to be 2 types of rooms in 1. Like spin twice and combine them into one room, ie first spin study, second spin kitchen. Worst you could get is a kitchen/bathroom lol
I would just build the shell first with the random directions/sizes and then place the doors and windows, and lastly decorate
1 minute in when you told us how to freely rotate objects: THANK YOU, nobody else specified that and I was cursing myself for not being able to do cool stuff other sims build youtubers can, I had to google how to do that because nobody else said it needs sims 3 cam setting on and it's a life-saver.

13:19 I appreciate you uploaded because this is still such a cool concept. I hope you try it again!
I think you should do it again, but maybe after every 2 rooms add a hallway or something to connect places like the bathroom. 😂
I'm obsessed with the color palette and the style you chose, for me it totally compensates for the chaos of the layout
I loved the faux garage! I had my fingers crossed that during landscaping you would put in a bathroom bush.
This was such a fun video! There are a bunch of ways to make the challenge easier but i feel like the way this is was already pretty fun. Thanks for uploading this chaotic video! All the rooms were gorgeous!! The concept for the house was fun and unique. Great video as usual! 🧭
Chaos of the layout aside, I actually really love this house, the colour scheme is really cool
This was so fun! I love how you build realistically, as you said that not everything has to be perfectly matched to still look nice. It made it really enjoyable to watch and puts the fun back into playing. Will definitely be trying this one!!
I love your montage showing all the rooms and the house at the end! It was really fun to watch. I hope to see more challenges from you! ^-^
this is such a confusing and conveluded layout....i LOVE it!!!
Was gonna go to bed as its 3am but nope😂 loving the new vid!
love this video idea! would it be too much to combine this with a budget whee;?? would make it sm harder but could be a fun idea!!
this is easily one of my favorite build challenges you’ve done 😂 i’d love to see this plus a room randomizer lol
Really love your videos
i like the idea of randomizing room and direction!!
You should colab with Caryn and Connie gaming
Yessss
No direction today? No problem! Sarah's cute video just saved the day from total chaos
Alright I'm doing this challenge right now and here are the rules I'm using/how I'm playing:
Started with front entrance because South could still be the front porch or front yard and I could realistically continue to build off of that. Also added stairs for possible later connections that could be removed easily just in case.

Poor teen 😭😭
This is the greatest house I've ever seen I'm gonna play exclusively on this build
I think it'd be really cool if you randomized the direction and size while building a floor plan to get a wacky shell, then maybe decorate it at the end? Or if you wanted to go even further, you could spin a wheel to decide what each room would be

I just love watchitn your build challenges, your videos are so entertaining! 🧭
first heartstopper season 3 and now a sarah upload, it's a good day indeed 😌
All the above😂😂😂 first direction (including up, down and dual direction like North East, North West, up North etc), then size, then room type, then colour scheme (rainbow, pastel, neutral and chaos), then pack.

Such a unique challenge! I love it❤ 🧭
I’ve been waiting for u to post im so excited
Ironic me watching this the day we find out about liam from 1D 😢 ↔️
I’m so impressed the roof looked so natural
At first, I thought this meant like each room having items/flooring/wallpaper representing the directions and was really curious to see what exactly that meant, like maybe polar bear stuff for the north room or something.
Compass 😊 Love your videos. Would love to see a challenge like this but the rooms are random budgets too
I would say - use the directions concept to build the shell, and then as you decorate each room use a generator to say what type of room each room is
You should definitely do this again. Maybe have the regular compass wheel and then a wheel with "up" , "down" and "stay." (As in, stay on the same level you'r currently on.) You can have four above-ground floors and four below ground floors so it could get pretty interesting.

You ate the decor 💜
I read another comment where you do NESW based on the middle room. I think that would be a good idea.

Just got a Sims 4 Cottage Living advert before your video 😂
Love how chaotic this was lol
I feel like this same build challenge could make for an interesting haunted house.
I’m so glad I’m sober watching this
If you would have spun the wheel one more time, you could have built another Bathroom to save that poor teen😂. Really pretty home decor though💖
Sarah, i think for the next time you do this challenge, instead of doing it connected to the previous room, just do it in the direction north east south or west.
you should do a part 2 where you take the shell of this build and try to make a somewhat normal house
let’s be real that teen will mark every bush around the house and shower in the river before he steps a foot in parents bathroom
Hey Sarah! Started watching recently but I was given a video from 3 years ago. And I’m am now waiting for the brother reveal at 100k, can’t wait for it LOL
the family in this house is mortal enemies with the family in the house with the patio bathroom 🚽
PLEASE do this again this is not a request it’s a threat i can’t live without it
Best challenge ever
What a fun Challenge. Weird? Yes but fun
I don't know if this would be more chaotic or less chaotic, but what if up and down just copy the shape on the room you're working on, and then the next room after that would be on rhe first floor again.
Love these! We need moreeeeee. ➡⬅
Flag challenge!the Sims but every room is a different country flag ❤🇮🇪
Maybe u could do a fixer upper of this house, u keep the rooms as they are, like a shell challenge, but decorate them as u want(?
Fun! Would love random room and don’t remove the room from wheel (I.e., could get 3 art studios)
A new idea on how to do this challenge. Make the shell first using the direction spinner (with up and down) then you decorate.
I loved the video, very caothic
Pleaseeee give us a spooky shell challenge asap ❤
I would to See more of these 😂 but maybe if xou spin the Direktion you can choose where it goes on the house and Not from the last room you build. I hope that makes sense 😊
Wait this was so fun!! ➡️
LOVED randomy being in the fridge. who put me here
Sarah you should do every roo. The time limit is split in half e.g if you rolled 16 minutes it would go 8 mins 4 mins 2 mins ect
19:10 WAIT NO BC HOW HAVE I NEVER REALISED THIS omg sarah is literally woman in STEM for discovering this 🧭
This house is giving the mansion from the original Resident Evil, so many doors, so many confusing rooms... You just forgot to add the underground lab 😂
Fun build idea... 🧭

⬅️⬇️⬆️➡️ this is really funny. I enjoy this random style of build. It’s more entertaining this way 🤣
We need more Murphy beds in this game
You should do Every room is a different care bear!!!!
The fact that the one bathroom in this house is only accessible from the parents room as the teen and the basement person would have to traverse outside to get there with the cherry on top that the bathroom somehow doesn’t have a single window 😂😂😂😂😂
🧭 Wow... So fun, but also stressful to watch!
the fact that the kitchen and the dinning room doesn't even connect lol
u should do this again but instead of picking the room, randomise the room so like basically ur choosing the direction, the size and the room type from the wheels, idk if u have done that yet but yeah
