Ntr's acting was more to that character he played, he was raised in a tribe in jungle, so his emotions were very raw opposite of Ram. And when he comes to delhi he meets very different people.

And of course if whoever were the clowns in charge of sending India’s submission to the Oscars chose RRR then it had a good chance of winning Best International Film too.
