      Please grant us all how to find or make one. Is there a PCB or eproms available? This is something similar to the digitech XP1000

    • @PedalExperiments
      @PedalExperiments  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +9

      I know, right?! Maybe they're trying to shift as many of the individual pedals as they can before they move on to combining them all into one, multi-effects unit? 🤷🏻‍♂️

      Also, add MIDI control to these pedals. When you have such a range of sounds it would be great for a pedal switcher to be able to select which sound you need for each song.

    • @maurobelarde8527
      @maurobelarde8527 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      @@modularcuriositySure! They have to make a big box, like the POG 3, with the all 9 series sounds and add midi, presets and expression pedal input.

    • @NONAMEACCESSIBLE
      @NONAMEACCESSIBLE 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

      Think because they're still making more money shifting separate units, so people buy more than one because they want different sounds. It's always easier to shift multiple small expensive things than one big exlensive thing. If it had all the sounds they would have to sell it in a bigger box and it'd have to be a more expensive product (people already find the 9 series expensive). That means people are gonna have to pay for a bunch of sounds they may not care for, and a lot of them use these only once or twice in their set. It'd also be a device with less identity in sound and aesthetics, just how real keyboards people will pay much more for a limited but quirky monosynth designed in the 70s than a bunch of more versatile and modern workstation keyboards flooding the local classifieds.
      The "all in one" solution has often felt like a no-brainer for many products, but such things often aren't as affordable, easy to use or sexy as the consumers like to imagine them, so such products fail, and the company is staking a lot of its future on just that one product. What the people want and what they're willing to buy are very different things.
      If they do announce such a box it'll mean the sales of the 9 pedals are dwindling and they'll be discounting them, cutting their losses while still myking money of the technology.

    This is the thing EHX need to make: a mic of all the 9 pedals with the best-most used settings with a better A/B signal path.

  • @marcbrasse747
    @marcbrasse747 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +10

    I own a Synth 9 and would love to add this! One general remark: I find it typical how all guitarists always keep some dry signal in. In the excellent Synth 9 demo this is avoided and then the pedal shows its true versatility. Stop thinking like guitarists. These pedals are meant to actually widen your palette. Not only to colour it. 😁

    • @joetowers4804
      @joetowers4804 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I completely agree with your comment. There's a software that turns the guitar into a midi controller and, unlike other hardware solutions, you can use almost any guitar with it. I have been obsessing with cobbling up some sort of multieffects around it (Midi Guitar 2 by Jam Origin), especially since mini PCs are now more affordable.

      For real. I got a whole synth board layout and it’s awesome but whenever anyone tries it out they play like a guitar player (shitty ones at that) and be like “I don’t think it’s for me” well that could be but being a musician is pretty fun with these things.

    This is awesome. $250 for all 7 is a steal. I have all 7 and payed an average of $200 for each one. My Synth 9 and Key 9 are from 2019 and the rest are from 2022. I'll sacrifice the Key 9 for this dastardly transplant! lol. Thanks for sharing.

    That's awesome I have the digitech xp all pedal that is kinda the same thing it has all four xp series pedals in one enclosure and they could easily add the mono synth and bass mono synth to the same nine series pedal and just get everything they got in the same enclosure in one pedal that would be super cool since I only ever seen to like one or two sounds from each pedal it would really save me a lot of money so I don't feel like I paid 120$ for like two good sounds that id probably not use very often it's why I sold most of my synth pedals in the first place but I saved the source audio c4 synth since it does everything even more than I even understand

    • @PedalExperiments
      @PedalExperiments  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Not sure an FV-1 is capable of producing the superior quality pitch effects needed to recreate these sounds, tbh. But in principle, yes!

    • @QerstyBass
      @QerstyBass 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      more like the digitech xp series. it is a little more hacky than the fv-1 as it has the switching by design. The bitquest does a similar thing though with the clean and fuzz eeproms which is why it cant switch between them seamlessly

    I guess their sales MODEL (pun intended) is to sell as many units as possible. Just like Eventide did with their high end guitar pedals. As long as they sell well enough as they are EH are however not likely to change that policy. These brands are simply too small to compete with the big brands “flavour of the day” marketing. I can respect that. But one can always hope. Maybe one day, if they at last run out of stock. 😁

    Why would EHX want to lose profits by selling an all in one? For them to make it commercially viable the price on an all in one would be quite high. Sure it’s a great idea for us but probably not a great idea for sustained business.

    • @PedalExperiments
      @PedalExperiments  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Oh yeah, for sure. But these pedals have all been around for years at this point. Surely they've already sold most of the units they will ever need to build by now? If so, a new pedal that combines all of these effects into one - potentially POG3-style enclosure - would be a welcome release?
      Even if it ends up costing as much as the POG3, I think it would still be worth it to have easy access to all 63 effects, with a display to keep track of what's loaded up, as well as presets, stereo, and other features.

  • @SonicReels

      I'm sure they would, if they felt it was profitable to offer a new product now that the individual pedals have been out for so many years.
      Personally, now that the POG3 has come out, I could definitely see them releasing a multi-effects unit in that same form factor, with all of the 9-series, mono synth, Ravish Sitar, and maybe a few other weird effects, all packed into the one unit. No doubt for a £600-700 price tag, of course.
      I guess we'll see what happens!
