YES PLEASE KEEP MAKING MORE OF THESE VIDEOS!!! I LOVED the ninja camera section you did for us - you're a true vehicle soilder Jason. Thanks again🙂🙂🙂
Thanks mate, haha yeah it’s funny how they don’t want me to promote them but anyway, where there’s a will there’s a way 👍 I do enjoy car shopping so definitely more to come 😊
A vlogger called Sanctioned Ivan has just settled in Pattaya. He's into cars and currently in the market. He's Russian, but one of the good ones. And he speaks English well.
Hi Jason, another great video, love the car vids... keep them coming.. Like your content and exploring the used car market in Thailand... New car looks great!
Thanks mate, I love making car content which I think comes across so there will be plenty more to come 👍👍👍
Awesome very helpful info mate, cheers for doing that... oh and the new Champ, horrible! hahah
Thanks mate, I reckon the Champ is a bit of you, make it fully Thai style 🤣
Thanks for the updates of all cars, trucks, and bikes there in Pattaya, Thailand, very helpful. Thanks again
No worries mate, I think you can tell that I do enjoy car shopping 👍👍👍
Always interesting to see the car prices/conditions as well as your input. I know who to hire/bribe to go car shopping when I get there! haha
I think the mazda is cute. poor little Piglet! That name cracks me up:)
Have a great week!
Thanks Matt, happy to help you when you get here. Hahaha yeah my little Piglet with big Piggy driving 😂
Great vlog as usual Jas 👍 always interesting to see what's
happening in Pattaya 😊
Thanks mate, really appreciate your support and comments as always 👍👍👍
Jason. Loving your car videos. Keep up the great work. Regards Francis 😎
Thanks mate, will do 👍
Hi Jason, i would really like it when you will make more videos about cars and bikes. They're great !
Hi Willem, thank you mate more coming soon 👍👍👍
Very informative, good to know car pricing , and your details of gearing & motors is very handy, I will hit you up when i eventually get to the stage of buying a car 👌
hope you got a good price for Maxine , I suggest Ruby for the new girl ,
Take care and stay safe 🙏
Thanks mate, haha happy to help when the time comes, sold Maxine for 165k and paid 175k originally.
Loved it!
Thanks mate 👍
Next time show the rates for the used cars. When you see for the Suzuki you have to pay 50XX.- Baht monthly. That means for the next 72 months ( 6 year) he pay at the end 360.000.- Baht for a old car. And on top he have to pay 7% VAT (TAX) for the deal. No guarantee is the next. I don't like to buy from dealers. I buy from privat normally cheaper but the same risk's. I like your content and I stay many times in Pattaya. With best regards from Isaan
Thanks but there is little point discussing finance options unless people intend to put in wife’s name and can get finance, as a foreigner you would know it is next to impossible to obtain finance unless you can show income and have a work permit and Thai guarantor
Hey Jason, Great video This car has had more hits then Elvis😂 awesome video thanks Jason be safe👍🙏
Hi mate, thank you. Haha yeah that Civic was pretty rough. Would love to come to Vegas and make some good old American muscle car videos, maybe one day.
Cheers mate 👍👍👍
@goodvibespattaya2423 Yes whenever you want I will be here waiting every Saturday morning they have a awesome car show in Henderson nv, last week they had probably 50 cars on the lot be safe my friend 👍🙏
👍👍👍
Love the cars videos it’s very good information I plan to retire there in two years and I want to buy a car so I can driver to the golf course 3 times a week
Thanks, glad you enjoy them and find helpful 👍
I prefer to get a new car here because you don't lose that much money and you have a warranty. Small new cars are very affordable or MPV like Toyota Veloz only 800-880K THB for a new quite Big Car with warranty. If you compare with older cars, the risk isn't worth only to save a small amount.
Yep, agreed 👍 Definitely buy new here
call it phoenix rising from the ashes with renewed youth. great video mate
Great name, thanks mate and very clever 👍
Hey Jason ,
nice change of scenery, with a car video , interesting to see the costs of cars there, as we know in Australia most dealers offer a 3 month warranty or you can buy a warranty , what do they offer in Thailand ??? Thank you
Thanks mate, the dealers (non franchised) generally offer a one month mechanical warranty on the engine only 😩
I’m saving and saving to get back there believe me ! I miss it
Thailand next time mate, give the Philippines a rest next trip 👍
Awesome work mate does the salt air affect the cars with rust
Thanks mate, it does as I have noticed light corrosion on my old Xmax after a year but most dealers include or sell underbody rustproofing on new cars 👍
Thanks Jason, really appreciate you taking the time. Just picking your brains; what's your view on the Lexus - good value or not? I heard they were made by Toyota, but wasn't sure. What are parts and servicing like?
Hi mate, Lexus is Toyota and very good but you see very few on the road, in fact I can’t remember the last time I saw any Lexus branding on a dealership, only in Toyota service departments. I would think servicing and parts pricing would be okay although they will be more than a Toyota because of the badge. Hope this helps mate, nice cars though 👍
YES, would be great
Thanks mate, hope all is well in Brizzy. How are used car prices in Aus, I heard they have come back a bit ?
@@goodvibespattaya2423 Brissy is OK, would rather be in Pattaya. Will be back for 3 months May 16....Prices are softer but not as low yet as pre covid prices.
Jason thanks for the car videos once we get settled we will be car shopping. Any recommendations on good inexpensive vehicle brands in Thailand and ones to stay clear of
Thanks Marty, cars are a touchy subject with many viewers and many don’t like my honesty but In Thailand the only brands I would consider are the Japanese brands and steer clear of Ford, Chev or European. Suzuki and although Chinese, MG aren’t bad value
@@goodvibespattaya2423 thanks Jason ya coming from USA I'm a big ford truck guy what are your thoughts on VW I am a vw car guy
@@martyscarborough7267 I like the F150’s and all the full size American trucks. In terms of VW, they aren’t really here except for the tansporters/people movers and a few new beetle but I’m yet to even see a VW dealer, again I would steer clear of a euro brand here unless you have money
Liked.
@goodvibespattaya2423 thanks Jason wow wasn't expecting no VW,s there but appreciate the feed back il have thought about the MG,s they look really nice and had a real MG back in the day. I did know that they were Chinese produced now and are selling them in England. How things have changed.
Love to see some Holdens if you spot any...
Always have an eye out for them mate 👍
I love makro 😂 I tried the motorcycle auctions its crooked man
I actually don’t go to Makro but hear it’s good. Not surprised to hear that about the auctions, thanks mate 👍
@@goodvibespattaya2423 yea they always send a staff member to the auctions to bump up the price
@@abitofeverything2254 TiT
Piglet sounds good to me Jase. Are car dealerships a common sight around Pattaya? Considering how expensive four wheels are for the average Thai I'd hazard a guess that 2 wheel shops are much more common?
Just as a side thought mate, this could be a secondary business idea of a consultancy service supporting ex-pats who want to buy a car in Thailand and helping them get something that won't fall apart on them 😁😉
Thanks mate, there are plenty of new and used car dealers in and around Pattaya but definitely more motorcycle dealers.
Yeah, I am definitely happy to help people, it’s in my nature and hopefully people appreciate my 40 years experience in the car industry, although many viewers may not agree as they might own a brand that I personally would not buy or own in Thailand.
Thanks mate, really appreciate your support and comments 👍👍👍
@@goodvibespattaya2423 no worries, was just a thought. Figured that there'd be more 2 wheel shops than 4.
And more than happy to help the algorithm out for ya mate, just keep bring out the content and I'll gladly watch it 😀
The HLG setting on your camera makes the vid over exposed when watching on a smart TV thru the app or streaming from my phone.
Looks fine on the phone. Maybe it's just me.
Cheers Simon
Thanks Simon, I’m definitely no camera expert so I just checked the settings and it was set to 1080 x 50 wide so I have changed it to 4k linear, do you have any advice on camera settings?
@goodvibespattaya2423 Hi Jase,
There is an HLG setting in picture quality which can be switched on and off. I haven't seen the HLG monogram (top RHS of vid) on your vids before. Maybe from a phone or camera update. Maybe watch the episode back on your own smart telly to see what I mean.
I'll be in Pattaya for a week over songkran, I'll flick u an email and buy you a couple of bevos!
Cheers mate.
🍻🍻👌👌🇦🇺🇹🇭
@@Get-A-Life thanks mate, I video using GoPro and edit on my iPhone using CapCut, anyway I will try the new settings and see how it goes and watch the car video on tv. Really appreciate your help and see you in April 👍
@goodvibespattaya2423 it's in the iPhone settings under camera from memory. Swapped jobs and back on my trusty Samsung now!🤣
Cheers, look after yourself.
@@Get-A-Life thanks mate, I will have a look 😂
Would to see more SUV or 4dr pick-up
Okay 👍
Hey Jason, this video turned me onto the Nissan X-Trail...This SUV is the size I'm looking for and the pricepoint is great (i assume its because they are discontinued in 2022 i think) - have you been on a testdrive of one of these SUVs? Do you have an opinion on them? Should I generally stay away from any discontinued cars in Thailand even if the manufacturer is in the country? .. like Nissan
Hey mate, I used to work for Nissan Australia as a Business Development Manager and had many X-Trails as company cars and they are quite good although I left Nissan just as this shape was released so I haven’t driven one, I might go back and ask them if I can test drive it as I’m interested to see how they drive. I wouldn’t worry that they stopped making them, Nissan have plenty of dealers here and getting parts/repairs won’t be an issue, you are right it’s a pretty good price for an SUV, not that much more than a Yaris 👍
@@goodvibespattaya2423 Thank you so much for your help with this Jason. I really appreciate it.
@@Funkbringer welcome mate 😊
How about do a video of new or newer cars from 2020 onwards ,
Coming bro 👍👍👍
been to any auctions in Pattaya
No I haven’t mate, keen to go to the ones in Bangkok 👍
👍👍👍👍👍🍻🦘😊 if you ever go Veitnam can you do a video like this 🤞😊
Haha okay, I would enjoy doing that 👍
Thanks mate 😊
Alice might be a good name for the red car 😂
Haha maybe 🤔 or My Sharona like the song
Think you can give me the location again? I'll try to see where i missed it.
It’s in the description but here it is

Being Thai cars do you think most of those k's would be city driving?
I would say a combination of both city and many runs up the freeway to Bangkok and villages 👍
Smart little Mazda that how much
I sold it mate and got a white Mazda 3, will tell more in an upcoming video 👍
A good bit of 'pattaya tax' on those prices.... using Taladrod you can see they are cheaper around BKK.
Yeah exactly, looking on FB marketplace at cars in BKK they are definitely cheaper for sure. Spoke to a local dealer (not in video) and he said used car sales are way down with many Thais buying EV plus he mentioned it’s harder for them to obtain finance on used cars, not sure if this is the case, you might know mate?
@@goodvibespattaya2423 50% of loan applications, also mortgage applications are being refused. They really tightened up , they were lending 125% of property values, but defaults have been massive! The Chinese manufacturers are funding their own finance.. hence the big sales!
The usual sky high prices in Pattaya mate.
Yeah I know, had an interesting talk with another dealer yesterday about used car sales and they have slowed right up, he said it’s more difficult for Thais to obtain finance on used cars now and there has been a huge surge to EV’s with very attractive finance rates.
Hopefully it won't be too long before the EV scam is over and done with. Once they realise the repair costs and insurance companies refusing to insure them.
@@goodvibespattaya2423
How is gasoline and diesel priced and sold?
Diesel is cheaper 😊
@@goodvibespattaya2423 By liter by gallon? How much?
Thanks
Thank you mate, really appreciate this support so much 👍👍👍
didnt know they had LPG cars over there
Yeah it was popular but not anymore
What is a cvt transmission 🤔
Continuously Variable Transmission
Thanks for the info love your channel ✌️
@@sibua69 👍👍👍
That's a great name
Thanks Tony 👍
With prices like these, who buys used cars? New all the way, steering clear of all tricks the Thais are pulling along the way. Just not worth it at all for someone like me, who hadn't spent all his life in a garage
Yes exactly, I’m actually out at a Toyota dealership today making a video on new car prices
⭐👍MORE Please👍⭐
Okay 👍
It was a pig when you bought it and it's still a pig, you just put lipstick on it
lol 😂. I agree to an extent but have spent a lot on making it mechanically sound
