I’m 2 years late but I just ordered an extra wide set of 1.9 pro builds and a wide set of Pitbull rock beast XORs
Very anxious to see how a 1.7” wide wheel is gonna look on a 2” wide tire!

Those look really nice! I'm just putting together my first 10th scale crawler, the Gatekeeper, I could have probably done with those extra wide ones. I went with something from RC4WD, hopefully that works out alright, too. Good info as always from you, thumbs up!

I set my pro build wheels up extra deep dish for my capra absolutely love these wheels by far the best yeah they’re a little pricey but you get what you pay for best quality best luxe without a doubt
Love the Probuild wheels. They look awesome & have great versatility. What I don't like is assembling 18 bolts for the 4 pieces of each rim. I just put together a set & afterwards decided I wanted a different size tire. Not looking forward to doing this all over again. Oh well, it's the price of being cool 😜
There's some really nice beadlocks on Ebay for about $35. They are all metal and mount on proline tires. They are just as nice as the vanquish if you get the right set.
If you havent tried GRC heavy steel beadlocks you seriously need to... extremely easy to put together. No fighting with getting the beads to seat and they are 160g per rim. Also very scale looking too.
I believe this is what’s on my Redcat, seems like they might be zinc as they don’t rust. Zinc is a commonly used automotive wheel weight so it makes sense.

I think your video is great. I was a little confused by the link you included at Asiatees. The link takes you to a wheel that is standard width. When buying the Boom Racing tires do you have to look for the extra wide wheels to get the wider stance? Thanks for another great review.

Could you test the TRX-6 OEM wheels and tires on your TRX-4 Sport, to see if they are good tires, or if it's just because there are 6 of them....
Hyrax is still better on rock. TRX-6 OEM is like stock trx-4 Tyres. Nothing special, but very solid and good tyres.

My proline dual stage foam really slides around on the extra wide wheels. Anything work better?
Had the same issue, split / cut the sock foam in half, made the outer diameter equal to the bleu proline centre piece, running one center piece, on foam on top, and two foams on the side, works like a charm, same driving as with stock size rims with dual stage proline inserts / foam

They all have their place. I have several sets of Injora & you can't beat their price & quality.
Do you know if the Vanquish SLW hubs fit the Boom Racing wheels
Sorry, a little late to the show. The SLW hubs do fit the Boom Racing wheels but you need to supply the 4-40 hardware.
I can buy 2 tires for my actual truck cheaper than I can get 4 wheels and tires for my rc... think I will personally be running some China specials.

Just be careful I tore a tyre getting it unglued after putting it in the oven
I've boiled them before. Not a fun task.

What foam do you use for the extra wide rim?
Definitely dual-stage. The Proline dual-stage is what's on there. Fits very well since the blue base is wide.
@@RCReviewChannel i tried the boom racing dual stage, didnt fit in very well, the inner foam is too narrow.

7:54 those scale bolts are garbage and so is the tool for them, save yourself some time and use the allen heads bolts only, those scale bolts heads get rounded easily when tightening with two fingers! and getting them out is a pain in the ass. Other than that the wheels are fantastic
