On my Norwegian cruise in September, I had the deluxe drink package. I went to the steakhouse for our specialty dinner, and tried a glass of a 30-year-old bottle of wine, and it was included in the package! Totally worth it! And I got to try some thing that I never thought I would be able to!
@@mistamilk4883 i just came back from the royal Caribbean...it was amazing but...30 years old bottles...i dont think so. Still...everything else was great...and i was so skeptical about cruises, like they were for old people or people too lazy to plan their own trip. It was just something different and really enjoyable
Thanks for the information. We will be onboard our first RC cruise in late DEC and were wondering about the deluxe package as we've never purchased on when we were on Carnival or Holland as they were expensive. RC had a promotion and I was able to get the deluxe package for $53 per person so my wife and I decided to go for it since we will consume plenty of coffee, water, wine and beer to justify it at that price...
The thing that was not said here is that with all of these packages. You do not need to keep carrying the plastic souvenir cup around with you. Most cruisers don't use them at all, but the kids will. Just show you cruise card at the bar and your good to go and you get your drink in a normal glass.
@@justins6414 Actually, yes they do. Kids and teenagers do a lot (mine do). And then you have the new cruisers that don't know has no one ever tells them this. In fact there is a video from Cruise TH-camrs `Sharon At Sea´ (they are experience cruisers with Carnival) where the family try Royal Caribbean's Harmony Of The Sea's for the first time. And they have the drinks package and carry their plastic souvenir cup around with them. Again
They are minimally insulated. I may have a total of 2 sadas in a cruise but other cold beverages can go in them. You can also get a adjustable handle to make carrying easier.
Your vacation starts at the pier. For God's sake get a passport and get your children passports. Yes, you can sail with other documents, but it slows you and everyone behind you down. Fully complete your online check in. Upload pictures and required documents. Print every document you can, do not rely on your phone. Put your vaccination card in your passport and have your test results in hand. We want to get you from car to bar n 10 minutes, but it's up to you.
For a couple the current price is £170 per DAY. Absolutely ridiculous. What would be great is if they offered a package for those who only want to drink beer and wine.
If I purchase the classic soda package, do I have to always get the drinks by myself from the vending machines or I can get free sodas in any bar or restaurant? And for dinner too? Thank you in advance
@@sassysw629 Yes. I can’t remember how many cruises we’ve been on but since that post I’m now 188 points = Diamond Plus = 5 free drinks a day, yeehaaa! There’s a huge gab between Diamond Plus and Pinnacle so I’m happy where I am now. RCCL website should fill you in on that. I made the mistake of going on another cruise line, never again. Hi, I am about to purchase the deluxe drink package for a December sailing. The fine print of the deluxe package says "package includes single beverages with a value up to 13$", the fineprint is dated 2022. However currently all the cocktails and mixed drinks on this sailing are 14$. Will that mean almost no drinks will be covered? or do you think the fineprint has not been updated.
Tell Royal Caribbean you are diabetic or your religion does not allow alcoholic beverages and they will more or less be forced to waive the everyone in the room requirement for the drink package My wife drinks and I'm ready and willing to pay the fee for the drink package but does that mean they have to ram it down my throat also a person who has maybe one or two beers per day because I am diabetic they can't force you to prove your medical condition or your religious affiliation so just say your religion does not allow alcohol but your wife is a different religion and she would like alcohol etc
My son and his girlfriend are planning an RC cruise for March 2023. She will be 21 he will be 20. They will be in the same cabin, can she purchase the deluxe drink package with alcohol with him as a suite mate and my son purchase the refreshment package?
Yes you can do that. If you try to purchase the Deluxe, it will only allow you to select the folks that will be 21 or over at the time of cruising anyway.
I think it is unethical and dirty pool the Royal Caribbean will not quote you the unlimited drink package until after you purchase the cruise it makes it impossible to comparison shop with other cruise lines also here's a little tidbit since they treat me unfairly and made me check the computer every day because they change the price every day on the unlimited drink package I think that's a joke so here's a little tidbit of info if you tell Royal Caribbean you are our diabetic or your religion does not allow you to drink alcohol they cannot force you to buy a drink package for everyone in your cabin my wife enjoys alcoholic beverages I truly am diabetic and cannot drink alcohol packages they waived the requirement for everyone in the cabin to buy one I believe it might be unethical to say your diabetic or religious when you're not but it's also unethical to not quote prices until after you've purchased the cruise and to change the price on an almost daily basis you have to fight fire with fire
I’m here to say that you don’t need any drink packages because they give you free drinks at the buffets and quite frankly I don’t go on a cruise to get shit faced but to enjoy what’s available from the cruise
A perfect day at CoCo key is it perfect to charge someone to go on a cruise and then force them to go to your private island as a port of call without giving them a choice and then forcing them to pay 80 to $100 a day to use the water park on their private island I know there are other things you can do for free but I think it's kind of 30 pool to force you to a place and then charge you to use the amenities there
Who in the world drinks $12 worth of sodas in a day?! Or $60 worth of alcohol in a day, EVERYDAY, for however long the cruise is? Nobody I know that's for sure! Seems so excessive.
@@christinekent2460 Updating you guys inflation is here now is $13 cocktail and $50+ for alcohol vs refreshemnt package... so about 3.8 cocktails to Break Even, yes I am a math/finance nerd.

Does the refreshment package include milkshakes from Johnny Rockets.
Yes
Yes it does. 15 minutes intervals
wish they had a deal that was beer and not all the other stuff or a cocktail deal without all the coffee and teas that was cheaper.
they had one in the past. There was a list a beers and a few house wines to choose from. My husband go this package and I got the deluxe

When I bought drink package on the ship we also did not have to buy it for the whole stateroom
This is why I don’t like cruising I prefer all inclusive resort like punta Cana you don’t have to paid any drink packet....
