Not all. But most. Many just have a half court single basket court.

Had a full court, but it was short and really nice for some 3v3 or 4v4. Fives was crowded lol

BYU allowed boosters to shovel him money under the table and then got caught. I worked at a country club he would often golf at for free. This was back in the day before NIL
Like many athletes, these three players peaked as teenagers. They were great high school players but didn’t have the same impact at the next level.
BTW it wasn’t a Mormon basketball team. It was a public high school team and not every player on the team was LDS.

That BYU team beat #1 Gonzaga on the road. Would’ve loved to have Mika back one more year.
TJ Haws was just crazy good in that game. Very frustrating watching him just score at will!

I firmly believe Mika could have had more NBA success if he had stayed one more year at BYU. He probably wouldn't have been drafted (too old by that point), but his skills would have been more polished. Haws was never going to do a ton in the NBA--not enough size or athleticism--and Emery had massive personal issues.
emery got kicked out of byu for signing stuff and for fighting he actually hates byu now
@@smyleez He did not get kicked out of BYU, though he did retire from the team before his senior season. He also does not hate BYU, though he does hate BYU's current HC, Mark Pope, for...some reason.

its important to note that lone peak is like the premier sports highschool in the entire Salt lake area, and saying alpine only has 10,000 people is disengenuous because utah county has hundreds of thousands of people

As a LDS member born and raised. Yeah every chapel of ours pretty much has a full court regulation court
I was a junior in high school that year, went to Davis High (#2 seed in the state, behind these juggernauts). I played in the pep-band and had a buddy go through how he totally thought we could beat them. Game started. Next thing we knew, they were up 30. Then half time rolled around. They were a crazy team to watch
They grew up going to a church with a basketball court inside them. We know how to ball lol

I met Tyler Haws in the MTC. He was a really nice kid.
Man, I respect the dedication to their faith and all, but imagine had they all gone straight to playing college ball when they had graduated and they grew and developed together. I think God would understand and opportunity like that. Lol
Sean Bradley, Eric Mika, Mark Madsen are just Mormon NBA players. They are disciplined which helps them with their basketball.

We don't worship the prophet Mormon, who is one of the writers of the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Emery and Haws come from basketball families. Inch for inch, pound for pound, Marty Haws (BYU 89-90) may still be the best basketball player I've ever seen.

Within the church that some people refer to as the mormon church. We are asked to call it by its formal and correct name; The church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. As I understand it, Conversion is to adopt the lord's standards or that's how it is attained! And the church of Jesus Christ of latter Day saint missionaries are the ones that do have those standards entrusted to share with the world, Which would lead to conversion to God and good and endless possibilities. And yes to the formal kingdom of God, restored to the earth.

From utah. By utah standards they were good. But utah doesnt have high end talent like tons of basketball states. So their competition was likely future d1 role players at best. Utah is well rounded in terms of basketball but you hardly ever see top end talent professionally come out of utah. I think that high school team was one of the most overhyped teams ever.
Did you miss the part of them playing teams around the country and whooping them? That’s why they were ranked number 1 in the nation.
