@@jakelarkin2990 I meant the Mad Dogg suicide attempt mission. Using too many cheats (the riot cheat I think) breaks the game and he jumps off instantly without giving you time to catch him in time.
@ Everyone thinks big smoke just made a really big order and that was the joke of the scene, when in reality, cj, Ryder and sweet are telling Smoke what to order for them, hence why Cj says "fat boy". Smoke then rehearses their orders and adds his own on top.

the best part is that neither san andreas nor vice city have aged very badly. both games are still amazingly fun to play. their stories are amazing, the gameplay is engaging, the mechanics, while outdated, still hold up well in most cases and i can say confidently it aint nostalgia cause i play these games to completion once every year
I have never seen a game with 3 different cities, pine forests, chilly mountains, deserts with canyons, farms, open country lands, small towns, urban police and country police with accurate unifroms! a secret govt facility and a big ass dam! This game felt like a real world back in 2005, ran at 26-30fps in 720p on my old pc. Those days are gone for good now...

@J Jay The only thing GTA 5 has on SA is that it’s newer, so it has better graphics and more modern gameplay. The story is much shorter, character customization is non existent, and, incredibly, there is actually less to do in GTA 5. Online is what makes GTA 5 special

This, compared to VC and III, was like comparing the perfect pizza with a burnt crust of pizza.
I mean the map wasn't so big as it gave out the feeling it is. I remember just driving around for hours, the map was packed with actions, easter eggs, well designed places.

We kind of have that. The Introduction which is a video, sets up the story for San Andreas. You can look it up, but yes, it is a shame indeed that we didnt get SA Stories

I was in high school when San Andreas came to mobile and I moved from PS2 to Xbox 360(bought the 360 version w/ achievements when it came out) but I remember begging my parents to let me buy all 3 games when they came out separately on the App Store and I still play this and vice city and sometimes 3 on my phone but San Andreas will never get old. I love driving across the whole state and I could do it 2 to 3 times a day. I would start from grove street go through the countryside and then pass through San Fierro then get on the Golden Gate Bridge and cruise down by bayside and then through the desert and desert towns to Las Venturas then take the countryside scenic route to get back to Los Santos. Good times gonna go do it now lol.
That’s a huge part of GTASA magic for sure. Even those that were adults at the time of its release enjoy it as well, it all around was a more compelling GTA game.
I'd argue SA was really flawed now. The areas between the 3 cities very empty and there isn't much to do there. Most of the gameplay aspects like shooting, stealth, and minigames weren't very interesting. Missions tended to involve a lot less vareity than Vice City. And many of the Side Missions are really generic and copy pasted The Main story jumped around so much from "The story of CJ in a real Crime Drama" to an over the top Crazy GTA game that it lacked cohesion
This game was life changing for me. I bought it at 7-8 y/o, living in a fucked hood in Athens, Greece and it completely opened my eyes. I listened to old school rap, country, metal and rock n roll for the first time in my life and I got to know completely different cultures on the other side of the world . I saw and explored the big american cities and learned about actual urban legends like the big foot, aliens at Area 51 and many more. GTA San Andreas made me love music, get crazy over Kustom Kulture(motorcycles and cars), want to learn english and crave to visit and live in the States. It showed me that there's a whole world outside of my neighborhood and my little country.
One of my fondest memories of San Andreas was just driving around the countryside while listening to K Rose. I typically hate country music in general, but the music selection for that station was excellent, and it created an incredible atmosphere when driving around the "deserted" areas of the game.
I remember when it came out on ps2, my friend had it. He let me play it when it was brand new and I was literally shocked at how words like "fuck, bitch" etc. were used it the game apart from the previous Grand Theft Auto games :D

And i thought Las Venturas was too unbalanced in terms of geography (like it doesn't feel like an actual city, and i thought that was distracting.) San Fierro's just perfect, it's calm, peaceful, i like the cold weather.
Listening to the radio in your recently stolen sports car, while on the highway, on your way to a different city, going over 100 mph and all while the sun was setting was the best feeling ever that NO game has been able to replicate to this day.

i basically lived in that game for months. I don`t know for how many hours I just cruised around in any old car, listening to the radio, just enjoying the scene. that never happened to me after that with any game. Its like your first high on some new drug ever. you never get the feeling again no matter how hard you smoke/snort/inject/ingest.
San Andreas biggest and best achievement was that it turned the loading screen between cities into a countryside that loaded as you drove - brilliant innovation!

I kinda want a full remake of GTA San Andreas. Keeping all the original game mechanics, the general look of the assets, and just increasing the texture resolution, poly count, and lighting quality/detail.
I mean, that already technically exists on PS4. It's the original PS2 version upscalled up to 870p. Everything looks more crisp and you can appreciate the quality more but the draw distance is still pretty bad (it always was) and unfortunately, they removed some songs. Still better than the Xbox One port that is based off the Android/iOS release and it's ugly as fuck. I recommend getting the PC version + mod fixes. Makes it like the PS2 version except much more crisp, clean and with much larger draw distances.
13 years ago I was a college going kid and I used to play the game excitedly, same feeling is today when I am an ophthalmologist. Flying a plane listening to the radio can be a lot relaxing

I remember wanting something like that in GTA 3 on ps2. so..all of the stuff GTA is known for, with a bigger map, a story that fleshes out and extra things you couldn't do before..in a series that allows so much freedom already.
My favorite part of the game, in terms of gameplay, was the turf wars. I also really liked how you had to repeat and actually exercise to increase your skills (at the time at least).
while it's has less bug, the Xbox 360/PS3/Mobile remasters have bugs, but Definitive Edition (launch version) even doubled the glitches due to using mobile ports as a base. Original is always good.
Umm are u aware of the fact that older a piece of software is, more it had been debugged. You cant compare number of windows 10 bugs with windows xp's.

I remember when I first played this game, I knew I could swim, so I went to the beach left of the airport in Los Santos and walked into the water. It was an amazing feeling that I could really swim. I just started swimming until I saw the cliffside of Back o’ Beyond. It felt like I swam across the entire Atlantic Ocean and it was amazing.
Yeah dude I got it in 2004 when I was 7 for Christmas, the feeling playing this game for the first time was magical, I was just amazed by the size of the map which I had yet to discover, jus walking around exploring this new world was magnificent

the map was the best for me. just traveling around feeling like going from state to state on such a relatively small map that is giving the illusion of being huge.. one moment youre in a hood area, the next youre in the mountains, then youre in a casino in Vegas, then in the remote desert.. it was just magical

That’s a huge part of GTASA magic for sure. Even those that were adults at the time of its release enjoy it as well, it all around was a more compelling GTA game.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is just a timeless game. It was perfect for when it came out and still a great game for today's standards.

I'd argue SA was really flawed now.
The areas between the 3 cities very empty and there isn't much to do there.
Most of the gameplay aspects like shooting, stealth, and minigames weren't very interesting. Missions tended to involve a lot less vareity than Vice City. And many of the Side Missions are really generic and copy pasted
The Main story jumped around so much from "The story of CJ in a real Crime Drama" to an over the top Crazy GTA game that it lacked cohesion

This game was life changing for me. I bought it at 7-8 y/o, living in a fucked hood in Athens, Greece and it completely opened my eyes. I listened to old school rap, country, metal and rock n roll for the first time in my life and I got to know completely different cultures on the other side of the world . I saw and explored the big american cities and learned about actual urban legends like the big foot, aliens at Area 51 and many more. GTA San Andreas made me love music, get crazy over Kustom Kulture(motorcycles and cars), want to learn english and crave to visit and live in the States. It showed me that there's a whole world outside of my neighborhood and my little country.
The Big smoke and Ryder stories were the biggest plot twists of my childhood

One of my fondest memories of San Andreas was just driving around the countryside while listening to K Rose. I typically hate country music in general, but the music selection for that station was excellent, and it created an incredible atmosphere when driving around the "deserted" areas of the game.

MGS3 was more advanced than GTA SA. it used so many technology that devs never used because it was too expensive (MOCAP , huge voice acting etc..)

I mean, that already technically exists on PS4. It's the original PS2 version upscalled up to 870p. Everything looks more crisp and you can appreciate the quality more but the draw distance is still pretty bad (it always was) and unfortunately, they removed some songs. Still better than the Xbox One port that is based off the Android/iOS release and it's ugly as fuck.
I recommend getting the PC version + mod fixes. Makes it like the PS2 version except much more crisp, clean and with much larger draw distances.
The original graphics are what makes san andreas the game it is.

so..all of the stuff GTA is known for, with a bigger map, a story that fleshes out and extra things you couldn't do before..in a series that allows so much freedom already.
My favorite part of the game, in terms of gameplay, was the turf wars. I also really liked how you had to repeat and actually exercise to increase your skills (at the time at least).
Turf wars was everything the only other game that did it well was Saints row 2

while it's has less bug, the Xbox 360/PS3/Mobile remasters have bugs, but Definitive Edition (launch version) even doubled the glitches due to using mobile ports as a base.

That toy airplane mission was one of the most difficult thing I’ve ever experience in a game. It took me almost 50 times to beat that mission.

I remember when I first played this game, I knew I could swim, so I went to the beach left of the airport in Los Santos and walked into the water. It was an amazing feeling that I could really swim. I just started swimming until I saw the cliffside of Back o’ Beyond. It felt like I swam across the entire Atlantic Ocean and it was amazing.

the map was the best for me. just traveling around feeling like going from state to state on such a relatively small map that is giving the illusion of being huge.. one moment youre in a hood area, the next youre in the mountains, then youre in a casino in Vegas, then in the remote desert.. it was just magical
