The toes are actually meant to stay straight or you risk injury and blisters ❤ the ideal is to have the tips of three toes touching the floor through the shoe all in a straight line, I have a longer second toe and need either silicon molded to my toes to fill the space above my big toe or a silicon cap for said toe. Many dancers will also then put in lambs wool or "toe pads" which are what they sound like

Yes and no. The shoe is tightest around the foot just above the toes. That supports most of your weight. PLUS the shank runs under the bottom of your foot, and it's hard. It cradles the arch. So between those two supports, very little weight is actually on the tips of your toes. If you do have a lot of weight on your toes, that means you are sinking in your shoes, and you need to be refitted.

Neither, not really. The whole construction of the point shoe is that is supports your feet, through the the box and the sole. Of course you need strong feet, but it's not like you're standing on your own.
For comparison/imagination, try to stand barefoot on the top of your toes (😄) and then with, say, sport sneakers. Of course sneakers are veeeery different but it's just so you can see that support makes a difference.

Some dancers use toe pads and lambswool for cushioning but some prefer nothing at all so they can feel the floor. Similarly with other kinds of dance, really - for example a lot of people wear socks with soft sole jazz shoes and hard tap shoes, but I can’t wear anything thicker than tights in jazz shoes or tap shoes as I can’t feel the floor so it feels super weird. It’s all down to preference really

When you see those amazing photos that appear in the shorts, they are often barefoot and their toes curl under. The way you show it here your toes are straight. I'm curious are both things correct? I’ve seen Nicolas La Riche perform Ravels Boléro (on TH-cam of course) barefoot but he doesn’t go en pointe in it. Look at me naming ballet stars and pieces as if I know something about the art, I assure you I know nowt.

It does, she’s just not putting her full weight on it. If she was standing up the toe would be at the bottom, but you’re not meant to sink into the shoe. I believe it’s fine to feel the toe touching the end of the box, but if it’s pressing or hamming really hard then they need a different shoe
