I think King Harald went insane, decided the only way for Elbaph to embrace peace was to kill all the warriors and sell out to the celestial dragons, basically enslaving the giants. King Haralds kills his quards but his sword gets stuck in Jaruls' head giving giving Loki the chance to take him out. Loki feels bad for killing his dad and takes blame to save his fathers legacy. Thats why Jarul defended him the way he did, and why Loki hates the celestial dragons so much

I have the same theory, but i think it's more likely Jarul forgot what happened and blamed Loki together with the others. And that its his gut that tells him something is wrong about that. When Shamrock spoke about a certain pirate, he was talking about Loki. Loki was known at this time. He wanted to recruit Loki, but the Gorosei didn't want to deal with Elbaf due to reverie, Big Mom & Kaido alliance & the Revolutionary Army. Now that Garling is a Gorosei member, Shamrock got the approval. Edit: I believe Loki can see into the future. That's how he knew where he will be hit. After all, his eyes are covered.

You mention that Harold’s sword MIGHT be the sword that’s impaling Jarul’s head. What if Harold went insane and started slaughtering everyone, only for Loki to stop him. (Like what if Imu got to him through the teleportation circle and brainwashed him somehow.) And when Jarul got there, he assumed Loki was responsible and attacked him, only for Harold to throw the sword and impale Jarul when he wasn’t looking. Or more likely he was brainwashed and ordered them to kill his own son. I’m only considering this possibility because we know Loki is the scapegoat for everything bad in Elbaf. A horse dying is blamed on him. His own mother’s death is blamed on him. We hear people say he’s an arsonist and someone who releases wild animals into villages. But we don’t know if that’s what actually happened or if other people did that stuff and then blamed him for it. I’m betting that when we get the Loki flashback, things aren’t going to be exactly as we’ve been led to believe. I’m not saying he’s necessarily a good person, but some of the things he has supposedly done may have been done for more valid reasons than we’ve been led to believe.
There is definitely more to that story. I think Mosa holds the key to most of this though, when they appear is the question.[Gloriosa maybe? Who fits many of the translation notes for Mosa and has -osa if Loki is doing Luffy like name mistakes again] Also I think the sword could be a gag, remember the arrows through the head joke? They made toys of it even, but sometimes cowboys would have an arrow through their hat in old movies or cartoons. Thinking back, it is almost certain now that it was Shamrock that was speaking to the Gorosei at Reverie, and he wanted to speak about a certain pirate. Now here he is on Elbaf hunting down Loki, a pirate that rampaged for presumably years, and now is imprisoned. I think Loki was the pirate Shamrock wanted to talk about, likely the idea of trying to recruit him into the God's Knights. Perhaps the Gorosei wouldn't let him come personally, but with his father becoming one he was the swing vote to allow him to personally go recruit Loki. Another thing I was considering, Harold wanted to make peace with the outside world, aka the World Government. To do this he basically had to create a program to demilitarize/piratize his country. What if the World Government demanded that in exchange for recognizing them Elbaf had to give them the special devil fruit, the one Loki eventually ate. Harold agreed, and this is why Loki killed him, to preserve their national treasure and the freedom of Elbaf.

So some looney toon’s shenanigans I’m hoping for would be Luffy catching one of Gunko’s arrows and yanking it to cause one of two outcomes. 1: Gunko spins like a top and gets dizzy. 2: Gunko completely unravels into a messy pile with her eyes and cap sitting on top before she reforms. Also for Gunko to try and strangle Luffy only for his head to expand like a balloon but no actually doing anything to him.

Im secretly holding out for a cat versus dog fight in the final war. On one side you have all the Marines with dog names like Poms, Doberman, Doll...etc against Captian Kuro, Reggie the lion from buggys crew, Who's Who...etc
I think what the arrow appearing to come from her foot and the next panel that it comes from the ground is meant to show us that she's detached it from her foot. Then we see it turn white, and that I think is meant to show us that black arrows attached directly to her body are tangible with physical mass that can be used to attack people, while white arrows detached are intangible with no mass and are just indicators of her future movements.
I say the Deceased king tried to create peace by inviting giants that still believe in the war path to his castle as he tried to execute them all. A twisted version of having to cleanse the old ways so the new ways can start. That’s why Jorul has the sword in his head that looks like it belonged to the king as well as him not stating that Loki did it. Maybe it was such a shock and surprise that he wasn’t expecting it and he doesn’t want to tell the people of what the king tried to do as it’ll undo all the positives that came from his ways. Maybe the king tried to kill Loki and said how he wanted to exterminate all being showing that they have the ancient giant bloodline in them as that’s the only way to start a brand new life (aka kill everyone with horns which is why he forcibly removed his own). I say this because Mother Caramel made the idea of living in peace, but Big Mom twisted what she meant yet still had about the same message. What if the old king Harald also did the same thing. Believing that the world can live in peace with different species as long as they wiped out all the aggressive species/subclasses of species.
What if the gods knights were more of a secret society that carry out Imu’s will for benefits, than just a military force and king Harold was apart of it? That would explain the weird bohemian grove culling rituals like god valley, why they are recruiting people, and why they haven’t shown up for things like marineford, as well as why Loki took his dad out if he discovered this. This would also raise questions about how dragon knows of them but he is pretty well tapped in to the government’s shenanigans so he might have found out through a spy or something. I think that would be neat
My prediction? Jarul and the other 99 giants (old warfaring giants) were going to attempt a coup and kill the king in secret since he was for peace and opening the border. Loki found out (or they tried to recruit him), went there to stop them, killing 99 of the giants before Jarul and the king stabbed each other. Giants heard the commotion, came to see, found Loki amongst the dead, and assumed he did it. The sword in Jarul's head gave him amnesia (or he's faking it) so there's no one to corroborate Loki story now.
If you look at Harold's swords guard and the sword stuck in Jarul's head you'll notice they have the same guard, then look at the swords of all the dead giants. They all have different guards. I'm thinking Harold stabbed Jarul for some reason or another, got killed and then Loki got the blame. The 99 other giants I'm not sure which side they would be on.
My theory is that Mosa is Hajrudin's mother and she feels sorry for Loki because of his mothers passing and knows that hes a good person. I heard someone say that Mosa's speech pattern was feminine in a way.
That's an interesting idea, I do think it's an older woman who likely has some royalty in her blood from her island. Gloriosa is as far as I've gotten, just a Loki/Luffy name mistake with -osa remaining.

I'll rephrase an earlier comment on a theory. I think Harold had the Nika fruit 14 years ago, before the WG found it, and Shanks took it 13 years ago from Whose Who. We don't know what happened in that castle, just that Jarul isn't right in the head(he has a cartoonishly places sword in his head, makes me think a little of Luffys Gear 5th toon physics) and Loki killed his father along with 99 guards? What we don't know is why, or if someone was influencing Loki or Harold like "Mosa" or someone like Doflamingo and his strings(not him, just an example). Also ironically the human human Nika fruit was freed 14 years ago from now I assume Elbaph, where did Choppers Human Human fruit come from 8 years ago? Because something happened about 6-8 years ago on Elbaph to finally make the giants want to take Loki down. What if some of then discovered he didn't eat the hito hito Nika fruit, but just the hito hito and Choppers fruit was swapped for the Nika fruit when Harold was Killed? Just a long theory I'm not set on, also because I still like the idea Carmel and Kureha were 2 years apart age wise witch sisters.
Oh yeah, the section on the cover story reminded me that, oddly enough Kaido and Big Mom are kind of the kindest and most honorable antagonist in One Piece. Still absolutely horrible people, but if we had to break out the scale for every antagonist Kaido and Big Mom would actually have the most things to put on the good side. Doesn't shift the balance but still a standout detail.
If you're going by antagonist, not even close as Smoker and Boa Hancock have been antagonists of arcs. Even with villains, a character like Magellan has been shown to be a better person than Kaido and Big Mom.

Honestly I forgot Smoker was the big bad of Log Town, mainly because of where his character stands now. Boa however is up for debate as she does kind of rule her Island with a stone fist. If anything she is close to on level with Big Mom, but fir big mom there is her maternal and big sisterly instincts. She had selflessly saved two people and why her goal is skewed she is shown to have good at her core still via Olin. Boa meanwhile. . . Has saved Luffy and otherwise just done her job as leader.

Gloriosa is in the air since that's for comedic effect most of the time, but I know she did attempt to kill one Kuja. Big mom does rule Totto Land with an iron fist, but she's also shown more kindness and selflessness than Boa has on screen. I do include O-lin in that, but only because O-lin is kind of Big Mom at her core.
It's nice having a clear connection now between the giants and ancient giants. Also looks like it's just an arrow fruit and not a mummy. Kinda a shame since the whole idea of the gods knights being horror movie monsters would have been really cool.

I have a theory that Ulti and Page one’s father and pirate friend to Kaido is Hanafuda because Hanafuda was dealing prehistoric zoan devil fruits to Kaido so after Ace killed Hanafuda his kids Ulti and Page one knew to go to Kaido for help.
I don't know if Ace killed Hanafuda, he's my #1 pick for the Man Marked by Flames. Ace had to have burnt him right? And his weapon could be spun to create whirlpools, so could his tail if he is the mythical TRex, and the other side of his weapon is a perfect anchor to avoid his own whirlpools he uses to flee from pursuit. Leffitte is looking for him in Red Port, BB knows he will show up there eventually to resupply or someone like Kong or another WG offical likely knows where the Man Marked by Flames is or will be. 100% with you Hanafuda has to do with Ulti and Black Maria, and I hope we find out. Oda didn't give us the full Rocky Port and just handed us Hanafuda in an SBS, maybe he doesn't expand on them but he didn't have to give us details like he did last year.

I don't think Hanafuda will be any sort of an important character other than Ace beating a warlord and getting notoriety(and allowing Kuma to become a Warlord), and this Man Marked by Flames I don't know if we really even interact with the Straw Hats honestly. Leffitte is seemingly in Red Port to find info, always possible that BB finds the Burn Scarred Man and kills him off screen but takes the Road Poneglyph to Hachinosu. Or Shanks does it. Or Buggy does it. There are a lot of possibilities, but let's be honest the King of the Lizards Hanafuda should be the Mythical T Rex and could tie into how Kaido got his fruits.

I was discussing this with my friend online, so I'm going to say my theory here. Imu leeches fruit powers rather than bestows them, and can mix and match them as they see fit. The only power Imu gave to Garling, besides his new title, was the immortality. If Garling has any ability, it was already his before his promotion.
Shamrock's name could be based on the wrestler Ken Shamrock since we've seen Oda naming giants from Elbaf after wrestlers even though Shamrock isn't a giant.

When Shamrock spoke about a certain pirate, he was talking about Loki. Loki was known at this time. He wanted to recruit Loki, but the Gorosei didn't want to deal with Elbaf due to reverie, Big Mom & Kaido alliance & the Revolutionary Army. Now that Garling is a Gorosei member, Shamrock got the approval.
Edit: I believe Loki can see into the future. That's how he knew where he will be hit. After all, his eyes are covered.

Also random theory: what if Harold was the one who killed the giants? Or maybe he had them attack Loki.
You mention that Harold’s sword MIGHT be the sword that’s impaling Jarul’s head. What if Harold went insane and started slaughtering everyone, only for Loki to stop him. (Like what if Imu got to him through the teleportation circle and brainwashed him somehow.) And when Jarul got there, he assumed Loki was responsible and attacked him, only for Harold to throw the sword and impale Jarul when he wasn’t looking. Or more likely he was brainwashed and ordered them to kill his own son.
I’m only considering this possibility because we know Loki is the scapegoat for everything bad in Elbaf. A horse dying is blamed on him. His own mother’s death is blamed on him. We hear people say he’s an arsonist and someone who releases wild animals into villages. But we don’t know if that’s what actually happened or if other people did that stuff and then blamed him for it. I’m betting that when we get the Loki flashback, things aren’t going to be exactly as we’ve been led to believe. I’m not saying he’s necessarily a good person, but some of the things he has supposedly done may have been done for more valid reasons than we’ve been led to believe.
There is definitely more to that story. I think Mosa holds the key to most of this though, when they appear is the question.[Gloriosa maybe? Who fits many of the translation notes for Mosa and has -osa if Loki is doing Luffy like name mistakes again]
Also I think the sword could be a gag, remember the arrows through the head joke? They made toys of it even, but sometimes cowboys would have an arrow through their hat in old movies or cartoons. Made me wonder if Harold had the Nika fruit and went toon form to put that sword there and survive.

Thinking back, it is almost certain now that it was Shamrock that was speaking to the Gorosei at Reverie, and he wanted to speak about a certain pirate. Now here he is on Elbaf hunting down Loki, a pirate that rampaged for presumably years, and now is imprisoned. I think Loki was the pirate Shamrock wanted to talk about, likely the idea of trying to recruit him into the God's Knights. Perhaps the Gorosei wouldn't let him come personally, but with his father becoming one he was the swing vote to allow him to personally go recruit Loki.
Another thing I was considering, Harold wanted to make peace with the outside world, aka the World Government. To do this he basically had to create a program to demilitarize/piratize his country. What if the World Government demanded that in exchange for recognizing them Elbaf had to give them the special devil fruit, the one Loki eventually ate. Harold agreed, and this is why Loki killed him, to preserve their national treasure and the freedom of Elbaf.

Im secretly holding out for a cat versus dog fight in the final war. On one side you have all the Marines with dog names like Poms, Doberman, Doll...etc against Captian Kuro, Reggie the lion from buggys crew, Who's Who...etc
I think what the arrow appearing to come from her foot and the next panel that it comes from the ground is meant to show us that she's detached it from her foot. Then we see it turn white, and that I think is meant to show us that black arrows attached directly to her body are tangible with physical mass that can be used to attack people, while white arrows detached are intangible with no mass and are just indicators of her future movements.
There are a few ways this could go and I’m hoping that Luffy is the one to instantly recognize that it’s not Shanks when they meet.

I say the Deceased king tried to create peace by inviting giants that still believe in the war path to his castle as he tried to execute them all. A twisted version of having to cleanse the old ways so the new ways can start.
That’s why Jorul has the sword in his head that looks like it belonged to the king as well as him not stating that Loki did it. Maybe it was such a shock and surprise that he wasn’t expecting it and he doesn’t want to tell the people of what the king tried to do as it’ll undo all the positives that came from his ways.
Maybe the king tried to kill Loki and said how he wanted to exterminate all being showing that they have the ancient giant bloodline in them as that’s the only way to start a brand new life (aka kill everyone with horns which is why he forcibly removed his own).
I say this because Mother Caramel made the idea of living in peace, but Big Mom twisted what she meant yet still had about the same message. What if the old king Harald also did the same thing. Believing that the world can live in peace with different species as long as they wiped out all the aggressive species/subclasses of species.
Saw someone point out that the sword pictured in Haralds portrait looks VERY similar to the sword planted in Jaruls helm!
What if the gods knights were more of a secret society that carry out Imu’s will for benefits, than just a military force and king Harold was apart of it? That would explain the weird bohemian grove culling rituals like god valley, why they are recruiting people, and why they haven’t shown up for things like marineford, as well as why Loki took his dad out if he discovered this. This would also raise questions about how dragon knows of them but he is pretty well tapped in to the government’s shenanigans so he might have found out through a spy or something. I think that would be neat
My prediction? Jarul and the other 99 giants (old warfaring giants) were going to attempt a coup and kill the king in secret since he was for peace and opening the border. Loki found out (or they tried to recruit him), went there to stop them, killing 99 of the giants before Jarul and the king stabbed each other. Giants heard the commotion, came to see, found Loki amongst the dead, and assumed he did it. The sword in Jarul's head gave him amnesia (or he's faking it) so there's no one to corroborate Loki story now.
If you look at Harold's swords guard and the sword stuck in Jarul's head you'll notice they have the same guard, then look at the swords of all the dead giants. They all have different guards.
I'm thinking Harold stabbed Jarul for some reason or another, got killed and then Loki got the blame. The 99 other giants I'm not sure which side they would be on.

My theory is that Mosa is Hajrudin's mother and she feels sorry for Loki because of his mothers passing and knows that hes a good person. I heard someone say that Mosa's speech pattern was feminine in a way.
That's an interesting idea, I do think it's an older woman who likely has some royalty in her blood from her island. Gloriosa is as far as I've gotten, just a Loki/Luffy name mistake with -osa remaining.

I'll rephrase an earlier comment on a theory.
I think Harold had the Nika fruit 14 years ago, before the WG found it, and Shanks took it 13 years ago from Whose Who. We don't know what happened in that castle, just that Jarul isn't right in the head(he has a cartoonishly places sword in his head, makes me think a little of Luffys Gear 5th toon physics) and Loki killed his father along with 99 guards?
What we don't know is why, or if someone was influencing Loki or Harold like "Mosa" or someone like Doflamingo and his strings(not him, just an example).
Also ironically the human human Nika fruit was freed 14 years ago from now I assume Elbaph, where did Choppers Human Human fruit come from 8 years ago? Because something happened about 6-8 years ago on Elbaph to finally make the giants want to take Loki down. What if some of then discovered he didn't eat the hito hito Nika fruit, but just the hito hito and Choppers fruit was swapped for the Nika fruit when Harold was Killed?
Just a long theory I'm not set on, also because I still like the idea Carmel and Kureha were 2 years apart age wise witch sisters.
Oh yeah, the section on the cover story reminded me that, oddly enough Kaido and Big Mom are kind of the kindest and most honorable antagonist in One Piece. Still absolutely horrible people, but if we had to break out the scale for every antagonist Kaido and Big Mom would actually have the most things to put on the good side. Doesn't shift the balance but still a standout detail.

If you're going by antagonist, not even close as Smoker and Boa Hancock have been antagonists of arcs. Even with villains, a character like Magellan has been shown to be a better person than Kaido and Big Mom.

Honestly I forgot Smoker was the big bad of Log Town, mainly because of where his character stands now. Boa however is up for debate as she does kind of rule her Island with a stone fist. If anything she is close to on level with Big Mom, but fir big mom there is her maternal and big sisterly instincts. She had selflessly saved two people and why her goal is skewed she is shown to have good at her core still via Olin. Boa meanwhile. . . Has saved Luffy and otherwise just done her job as leader.

Gloriosa is in the air since that's for comedic effect most of the time, but I know she did attempt to kill one Kuja. Big mom does rule Totto Land with an iron fist, but she's also shown more kindness and selflessness than Boa has on screen. I do include O-lin in that, but only because O-lin is kind of Big Mom at her core.

I have a theory that Ulti and Page one’s father and pirate friend to Kaido is Hanafuda because Hanafuda was dealing prehistoric zoan devil fruits to Kaido so after Ace killed Hanafuda his kids Ulti and Page one knew to go to Kaido for help.
I don't know if Ace killed Hanafuda, he's my #1 pick for the Man Marked by Flames. Ace had to have burnt him right? And his weapon could be spun to create whirlpools, so could his tail if he is the mythical TRex, and the other side of his weapon is a perfect anchor to avoid his own whirlpools he uses to flee from pursuit. Leffitte is looking for him in Red Port, BB knows he will show up there eventually to resupply or someone like Kong or another WG offical likely knows where the Man Marked by Flames is or will be.
100% with you Hanafuda has to do with Ulti and Black Maria, and I hope we find out. Oda didn't give us the full Rocky Port and just handed us Hanafuda in an SBS, maybe he doesn't expand on them but he didn't have to give us details like he did last year.

I don't think Hanafuda will be any sort of an important character other than Ace beating a warlord and getting notoriety(and allowing Kuma to become a Warlord), and this Man Marked by Flames I don't know if we really even interact with the Straw Hats honestly. Leffitte is seemingly in Red Port to find info, always possible that BB finds the Burn Scarred Man and kills him off screen but takes the Road Poneglyph to Hachinosu. Or Shanks does it. Or Buggy does it. There are a lot of possibilities, but let's be honest the King of the Lizards Hanafuda should be the Mythical T Rex and could tie into how Kaido got his fruits.
