Yeah, that’s the tricky part of open world; make it look like is actually lived in by people and creatures. But imo is something they can patch on before release with no big production issues.
I'm hoping the gameplay is like Alice's Madness returns. I played a lot of the love nikki / shining nikki series, and the stories are fun to read :) I have high expectations for the gane xP
The thing about all open world games is they seem to have the exact same environments, even if it doesn’t make sense for the universe or design. Like the ruins environment is so tiring, and how does the environment fit in with a magical girl aesthetic? They could have gone all out with the Nikki open world and made it extremely stylized and different. Like maybe a candy land looking region, a 60’s futurist region like the jetsons , a psychedelic trippy region, endless possibilities.why do they all have the same forests, medieval village, and ancient ruins?It’s like exploring the same worlds in slightly different fonts. There are so many unique ways you could stylize and make a forest region, you could make it very spooky and Edgar Allen Poe-esque like in Paper Mario Thousand Year Door, you could make it very fairytale looking like in the movie The Pagemaster, like use your imagination devs!
i hope it becomes free when it gets its pc version 😭😭😭 the open world reminds me of genshin but the easthetic is SO PRETTIER, im really looking forward for this
I guess it'll be for different demographic. Those who play dress up will have to switch to combat or Infinity Nikki will attract combat players. It's a big risk, so good luck Nikki.

Infinity Nikki will probably have stuff like suit recipes and materials hold by enemies, with the rares ones being held by the stronger enemies, and so, if a player hypothetically wanted to make Star Sea, Icewind Warchant or something like that here, they would _need_ to get Nikki Strong AF™. Your friends didn't such a good incentive for them as ✨ fabulous gowns✨ to get stronger in Genshin, unlike here, so I'm pretty sure they'll like this one way better 😸 Btw, the incentives thing also goes the other way: a person who usually wouldn't be interested in the dress up/fabulous parts of stuff like the Nikkiverse, but loves open world games, would have to play the dress up sections, as it's 100000% sure that the suits also influence the power levels here, and so, they'll have to start to pay attention to that. I don't think it'll take too much effort, as it's basically the same system as with armors and weapons, just 💖glamorous💖
Haters gonna hate but, if you know papergames track record for quality and quantity you know it won’t disappoint. Yes, it’s a risk and dangerous territory cause they are moving up to console. Papergames progression has been nothing calculated smart business moves as well as not loosing sight of what their brand is. I think it’s amazing that money hasn’t really blinded them into development. This is what video games companies try to accomplish but, a lot of them go money hungry or just stick to a passion project without opportunity of growth. I think papergames has a good balance of both with just a little more leaning on the money side but, for good reason cause now we see why. This feels like “hey you’ve spent quite a bit of money in our game let us I indulge you with all this as a thank you and for you to see we are worth your money” where ALOT of the game industry just sucks your wallet dry without change and locks you in a loop. Good freaking job Papergames I’m glad you’ve been able to grow intelligently 👏🏼👏🏼🎉
I don’t think the risky part is moving to console, imo that was bound to happen. The tricky part is starting this journey with open world that is such a complex time of game to develop cause you need to balance several things while not letting the gameplay feel janky.
@Beatriz Zacharias from what I was told, mobile games are bigger than console in asia. So it is a risk to start a console game in asia. I hope it does well and releases world wide :< ♡
The funny thing is, One of the Game Designers of the Zelda BOTW, Kentaro Tominaga is working on Infinity Nikki! That's so cool!!! So you may feel familiar with some of Zelda gameplay such as the platforming, dungeon.

I just want to say, I used to have a guest account on love nikki but of course I lost it since I needed a new phone and it was a guest account(I don't have facebook but my mom does and she would have let me use it if I thought of it) and I didn't start shining nikki but I wanted to when it came out. I am so happy that this is coming out because its a game I will now commit to haha
I am a 26-year-old male and this game look drop-dead gorgeous. It makes all my previous console games look like dirt compared to this masterpiece. Perhaps I'll pick it up.

@@zey8595the series has traditionally been gacha apparently, so this likely will, unfortunately. I’m hoping most of the useful outfits like fishing etc you can earn through basic gameplay otherwise I’m not going to play this. Would definitely prefer a normal buy to play monetization though
@@morriganrenfield8240 I feel like their micro transactions won’t be as severe as genshin impact though. Just based on their track record they have a decent balance. If this risk they are taking is a success it does have potential of over throwing genshin. Considering they showed this much in the video it has to be jammed pack with content. I really hope this take because they’ve grown so much and been making really smart moves as a company without disappointment. This is the starting ground if papergames makes it to console it’s game over for a lot of games if they decide to expand out of Nikki. I think this is why they are testing the waters but, seems they invested in a very freaking smart way I never imagined them stemming into console that’s a dangerous move for everyone and interesting at the same time!
No release date yet. This project was handled by the same company "Papergames" but infinity nikki and nikki and the God of dreams is 2 different project, this one is the upcoming open world game and that one is the upcoming movie

They are finally releasing AAA games specifically aimed at a female audience. Maybe with this I will be able to get my gf into gaming since she likes mobile dress up games but could never bother with a more "hardcore" experience.
