Love your final result! I am always amazed at your boldness and ease by which you change your approach... enter leaves and white over the blues, greens, and yellow background followed by gold outlining and embellishment. Then white dots. The white mat and gold frame completes a stunning painting. Not nasty at all ❣ WOW.
Diane, I love tuning into FB and finding one of your videos. I’ve grown accustomed to your chats and your paintings. I also have followed Emma and Ellen since around the time you started. I have your brushes, too! Sending hugs and good vibes your way, and also to your family, all the way from New Jersey. Je t’aime ❤
So lovely! You videos have inspired me to just get back into putting paint on paper. I have always loved to doodle so all the lines and dots are my thing for sure. Thank you for providing such calming videos. ❤
Love what you've done. So interesting of an approach. I find it amazing that as I listen to different people, we have common artists that we follow. Of all the vast number of artists out here, we gravitate to some of the same ones. Maybe it's the style or maybe it's the journey we are on that mirror other's. At any rate, I do enjoy watching and learning.
May 322 th.one is never too old to start a new experience. Besides all the negatively of the pandemic certainly a positive thing is all those inspiring TH-camrs. It is in a way very addictive and I personally spend too much on TH-cam, but it brings joy, inspiration and your channel especially connects and makes the world lighter and more beautiful and pieceful. Thanks again😊wim
Love this! I'm going to play at this this afternoon. A few years ago when I got the fever to want to learn wc, (haven't hardly anything this past year...stupid hands, arms issues! But not giving) Emma and Ellen were my 1st and I couldn't get enough of them. Shortly thereafter, Kristy Rice. And then....YOU....my #1 fave! There are others I really enjoy and watch regularly but you I save for serious break, down time to watch. Thank you to you and your daughter for sharing all your talent and hard work! I am a 76 year old 'fan girl' Lol😍
That’s wonderful Kathy, I read your comment to my husband and daughter because it is so kind. I’m really proud to think you are a fan-girl of mine and so glad you are enjoying the videos. Wishing you much better health and strength in your arms and hands, with love, Diane xxx
Thank you for another relaxing video. Actually I saw some of your first videos recorded in Spain the other day. 😊 I have learned so much from you. The first year I just watched your videos here on You Tube. But the last six month as a Patreon has really boosted my work. I will encourage others to do the same! So much value for money.
I teach art! I am not a professional but work hard to organize classes directed at ANYONE, despite any prior knowledge. Due to unforeseen events, my class venue and time frame were changed. I went with the flow, but a few students commented on my UNorganization! This video gave me an idea. I saw you "going with the flow" and making pretty art. I want to make my evaluation into a positive. I am thinking of a "Let's Make a Chaotic Pretty Mess." I think....right now...I am going to have fun splashing paints about. Then just add gold, lines and squiggles. How can it turn out NOT pretty!? Love what you do! Thank you!
@@DianeAntoneStudio I teach in person and on Zoom (have an overhead camera). Not too computer savvy. Have no idea how to DO TH-cam, only watch it! Maybe I should find out.
OMGoodness...I cannot do anything but laugh at myself. There were so many times during this particular painting session when I felt like screaming, "No! Don't cover that up! No! White?!...over all of those beautiful colors?! No! I loved the turquoisy bit, and now it's just this sludgy muddy puddle!" Dear heart, I said to myself, you do need to settle and have a chocolate. And then, voilå, you of course worked your magic and I fell in love with the result. Never imagined that the white gouache would be so transparenty and gausey and the colors would still be so beautiful. I just LOVE what you do, Diane. It is teaching this tightly wound part of me to see how much beauty can come from experimenting, taking a leap and doing something unexpected, and being in the flow. Bless you. So love your content. And love that you and your daughter work together as you do. 🙏❤🙏
Superbe! 🥰🕊️💐💕
What a lovely picture! It is almost dreamlike....ethereal. I really look forward to trying this layering technique again. Loved it when you did it with the birds. I tried several with happy results.Thank you Diane 😊
Thank you for showing this technique again. The last time you painted with the white I did not have the nerve to try it. This week I am going to be bold! Blessings 🙂
I enjoyed hearing, for the first time, how your TH-cam journey started. I want very much to paint loose wc with doodles, but feel so very clumsy at it. I know I need to just do it every day, regardless.... Thank you for your encouragement.
Beautiful piece of art. I love the colours. The gold frame really brightened the artwork, making a piece suitable,e for a place of prominence in any home.
You always inspire with your painting.....i love watching you and listening to your conversation it's so relaxing and very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to giving this one a go! Thanks so much! Loving the gold frame.....it makes everything pop! 🙏❤️🖼️😊
Bises , a bientot
That looks great framed! It's always so surprising to see what something you have painted looks like when you put it into a frame or panel. I have found that those Posca pens can be a bit finicky, have to have just the right angle to get them to flow nicely. I have a white one that constantly burps out blobs of very watery paint. Its quite annoying! Often, I will switch it up for a Tooli Art white paint pen instead, I enjoy listening to and watching both you and Miss Trent. Both of you are fun, engaging, easy to paint along with for beginners, and have soothing voices This video was a good one for an idea of something relaxing yet fun to paint when you cant think of what you want to paint..
The Posca gives a thicker line and is more likely to work when the paper is rough or has a lot of paint on it. The gel pen really wants the paper to be smooth!
@@dreamalamb4259 When I'm not pretending to er, I'm mean play painting with them I put the clear plastic cover over the palette and prop it up on my paint table. When I pass by, the lively colors make me smile. I consider it a piece of art! LOL (seriously) 😄

I have the same problem with my Posca on the kuratake paint. It seems to absorb it instead of sitting on top. ❤❤❤❤
I've had trouble with my paint pen on all watercolor. It's a Sharpie paint pen... but the same kind. ❤
Lovely! When do you use Posca white vs Pentel white gel pen?
The Posca gives a thicker line and is more likely to work when the paper is rough or has a lot of paint on it. The gel pen really wants the paper to be smooth!
Are you painting on watercolor block paper?
At the moment I’m using Meeden blocks of watercolor paper like these: Meeden 100% cotton paper amzn.to/3J6X6FP
I was wondering what the Kuretake paint cups were made of, paper, plastic...
The paint pans are plastic. The set comes in a paper box.
