I have loved all your blobby birds. They would cheer up any day! These Christmas ones are fantastic. Thank you Diane for all your wonderful ideas and paintings.❤😊
Dianne, I have enjoyed this so much, I get despondent trying to make beautiful and forget how much fun your whimsical animals are to paint. Your commentary is always interesting especially just chatting about life in general. Thanks so much 😊
This is absolutely wonderful! Such cute little birds and as always I love your tutorials and your wonderful; narrative and chat as well as your blobby birds. many thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing that information about gum Arabic. I had no idea what it was, I had heard of it of course in many products. It would seem to me that it is somewhat like tree sap, hardened. I look forward to watching the process for making paints. I love these little birds; they are so cheerful. Something we all need right now and always really. I know especially now for me I need all the positivity I can get.
It's amazing to me that I'm watching you from Egypt!! The weather here in USA Charlotte NC is unseasonably warm as well. With Christmas right around the corner seems quiet off.
I love these Christmas birds!! This painting turned out so cute. Interesting about the Gum Arabic, I didn't know anything about it. Thank you for sharing. ❤ (I'm sorry to hear you and your family have been sick. I hope you're doing lots better now)
I can't wait to sit down and watch this video.. I want to know about gum arabic.. I saw it on sale at Hobby Lobby but had no idea what it was used for... Hugs! deb
I am hoping to join the membership channel in the new year if my finances can finally allow!!!!!. Your painting channel has absolutely transformed my daily desire and practice of allowing myself to be creative in such a fun and whimsical way, regardless of what brand paints I have or don’t have or quality of my brushes/paper (or lack there of!!!!). I yearn for 4pm each day when I can paint blobby birds a or whatever for a few minutes! The birds are what I have been Enapt with since finding and following for the last month since discovering your channel. I wish the TH-cam algorithms had relayed it months ago when I was searching fruitlessly [[watercolours(!)]]….. but your approach and techniques and paintings surpass anything that was suggested by AI and furthermore has been exactly what my soul needed. Thank you so much. For the first time in years my brushes and paints and paper have lived to see the light of day. I am so grateful for your gentle inspiration! Blob on! Sincerely, A “blobbering” mess over here, and very grateful for it!
Thanks so very much for your kind words and for bringing me a smile this afternoon !! I’m so glad you found us and are enjoying the channel. It’s because of folk like you that we work so hard to bring you good stuff to help you on your artistic journey! Keep painting and keep watching and hoping to see many more comments from you! All the best, Diane xxx

Hmmm... thank you for the information... about gum arabic... I wonder if the tree is harmed in the collection of it or does the tree just weep the gum arabic like the pine tree will weep sap... Look forward to what ever video or blog post you make on it.. Hugs! deb
I used cold pressed Julie. I usually use cold press and will generally mention it if I do use hot pressed paper - the one I use mostly is Meeden because it is 100% cotton and inexpensive. Meeden Watercolor paper, cold press, 100% cotton, 140lb 12 x 9 inches: amzn.to/3WQZN6r
I love these! I have 2 in my cart and haven't pulled the trigger yet because I wanted to ask if you are possibly doing a mug with that darling one with the Santa hat?.....I love it!! Thanks for sharing all of these with us.

No, Cairo is a long way from any trouble in the Middle East. Thanks for watching!
