This has helped me tremendously. I've constantly had issues hitting fat. I read your comment about how you know that the low point is at your left arm pit. So, now in the setup I fully extend my arms and "ground " the club IN FRONT OF THE BALL. So once I'm satisfied I have the correct length, I move the club head to the back side of the ball. The club head will be hovering approximately 3/4 to 1 inch off of the ground. I then take my swing. Been getting much better contact now. Thanks for your help.
I was ready to quit! My last score before Stack and Tilt was 95. I became aware of your channel through Tom Saguto. I am 68 so feel your training is a little more towards me. Yesterday, 5 days later I shot 83. The first two holes I bogeyed because I went over the green on my second shot and failed to get up and down. Thank you soooo much. I look forward to many more years to come!
Another great video! I was watching your shadow as you took your swing and your head stayed bang on centre and it is something that I now find easier to do. Thanks Jess 👍🏻
this lesson is pure gold jess (aka gene) have been trying so hard to master the ball turf contact for years and the best I can get is a clean ball strike with no divot after the ball but watching your demo on is superb as you make it look so repeatable can't thank you enough jess really hope this can be a big turning point for me cheers 👍🏻👍🏻🏌️🏌️
Been trying stack n tilt for a few months now, but was still hitting behind the ball a lot, tried this hitting under the lead shoulder today, this really helped a lot, thank you very much 👍🏼
Great video. I know that the alignment stick represents the low point in the swing but can it also represent the starting position of your hands when you start the backswing?
Great explaation and demonstration, Jess. I'm committed to S and T and have been on the range focusing on low point for last two days along with weight left and left shoulder down. One thing I discovered yesterday was how my best contact seems to come when I feel like I'm almost swinging along my belt line in the P1-4 backswing. The club shaft feels very low, but I make better contact and have more power. I have found as well that the ball flight is straighter, with less of a pull hook. Thanks for your teaching, Jess, it has helped clarify things.
Hi Jess, enjoying your videos and my distance is back my 7 iron is now back at 160-165 was 145 and I'm 61 and my handicap is way down like it was some years ago.
@Dennis Whalen: As I always say, I'm no expert but to me this is key (and was not emphasized enough in the video). You can have your weight forward and handle forward and turn centered but if you don't shift your weight forward in the downswing then any slight pitch of the weight backwards when the club starts down will cause you to hit fat (happens to me all the time). Shifting the weight forward shifts the low point of the circle enough ahead of the ball that you get the contact you need. Now when I say low point I'm talking both dimensions: Forward of the ball and at "ground zero". Because the slide will eventually become a turn and with me I am pulled up and out of the shot, so while the low point of my club is "ahead" of the ball it's also above it. :)
Hi Jess, great lesson, thank you . For me to control the low point it feels like the club is flying away from me a little bit, kind of like I’m throwing the club forward to reach the low point after the ball, , does this sound right?
Jess Frank Golf Academy Awesome. I live up West of Chicago but i get myself down there w my law partners to play at the Mustang once a year late at October. Not sure how things will work w COVID this year Would like to hook up for a lesson
Jess, I had my right ankle fused and it doesn't move at all. It was recommended I switch to the Stack and Tilt Mrthod. Could you make a video keeping that in mind. Thanks, Mark
Hey Jess, when you’re playing the ball back a few inches from the low point, do you look at the low point when you swing or the ball? I find that focusing on the ball tends to make my low point move back to my right.
I have left knee problems and have to turn my left foot out 45 degrees. I have to avoid too much twist in the knee. Will I be able to use stack and tilt?
Great coverage of a hugely important ST fundamental - are your eyes focused on the ball or the low spot in front, I assume the ball position changes as the clubs get longer?
I've never tried this system but inconsistent ball striking since I've come back to golf after 12 years, I've decided to try it. I am concerned about ball placement. Is there any general advice where it should be? Maybe it's trial and error, but where should I start at least? Thanks for a great video.
My pleasure and great question. Put the club straight down under your buttons of your shirt and that’s a good starting point. I believe I have another video on ball position. Thank you again for subscribing and watching!

Phenomenal to hear!!!!
Straight forward and not overcomplicated instruction Mr. Frank! Wish I had you for a big brother!
Thank you Charlie! Appreciate it! Let me know how I can help further!
How do I get you videos of my imperfect swing? And how much do you charge for feedback sir?
Love the simple, straightforward explanation. Thanks, Jess.
Thank you Paul! Appreciate the feedback and thank you for watching and subscribing!
Awesome video and Awesome advice
Thank you Bob!!

Thank you so much Mike! Glad it's helping!
Very easy to follow try this today
Thanks Mike! Let me know how it goes!!
Great videos Jess thank you for taking the time.
My question is would you do this same drill for the fairway woods? Is the low point the same?
Yes sir the low point is always after the ball with the weight forward

Thank you so much Charles! Great to hear you are on the right track and hitting the ball solid! I really appreciate you watching my videos

Thank you Steve! That's awesome improvements! Keep up the great work!
Is there a hip slide on the downswing
Yes sir there is a small slide towards the target to move the low point forward.
@Dennis Whalen: As I always say, I'm no expert but to me this is key (and was not emphasized enough in the video). Yes, you are going to feel the handle forward and weight forward to create a bottom of the swing in front of the ball. Thank you!
Is the ball position slightly left of your center
Thx you
Yes sir! Thank you Thomas!!

Thank you Jess. Could you do a vid on the release?

Hey Mark! Weight forward and pivot around the left leg will help you take pressure off your ankle.
Super Jess!
Martin Hardman Hey Martin! Thank you again for watching and subscribing!

Hey Joe! I don't focus on the low point i just now where it occurs.
Talking ball position. I can play mine virtually at the zipper. works for me. Many thanks for all these lessons. Weight Forward gives me wings. LOL.
Fantastic Ira! Thank you so much!
That setup is a guaranteed snap hook for me!!
Depends on what you need In your swing and ball flight:)
setups don't create hooks. something else in your swing happening.
I have left knee problems and have to turn my left foot out 45 degrees. I have to avoid too much twist in the knee. Will I be able to use stack and tilt?
Yes sir. Stack and tilt is easier on the body for sure without twisting the left knee.
Great coverage of a hugely important ST fundamental - are your eyes focused on the ball or the low spot in front, I assume the ball position changes as the clubs get longer?
This is something I need to learn. I'm too focused on hitting the ball, rather than letting it be hit as the club goes through.
I've never tried this system but inconsistent ball striking since I've come back to golf after 12 years, I've decided to try it. I am concerned about ball placement. Your shadow is blocking a good viewing picture
Thank you John!
I never seen so many duffed shots in an instructional video 😂
Haha! Thanks for watching!
