Really nice house! Why can’t people ever be satisfied without the quest for more bigger better? Must they continually try to outdo one another? Just a few minor updates and this would be a perfect home. Nice yard would need just a few privacy plantings along the back. Deck really nice. Beautiful fireplaces though I would prefer wood burning. Nice big kitchen. Love the master bath with interesting light fixture above the tub. Nice big basement. Just always a sad waste when these homes are torn down. This was a fun exploration Ethan. Thanks for sharing. Take care, be well and stay safe!!
It ought to be illegal to demolish a perfectly good house ! What a waste of resources and money ! I talked to a contractor I know here in the USA , he knows of nothing like this in our area. He’s involved in rebuilding old homes not destroying them .
This a really nice and large home! The finishes are absolutely beautiful, and great quality. I love the sprawling floor print. Such a fantastic home inside and out! Very cool find!🤟✌️
Such a wonderful home. I would live there in a heartbeat. I am heartbroken they are tearing it down. Bellows!! Its terrible that it's being torn down. I love the colors. I wouldn't have sold it someone who wanted to tear it down. Sorry I have a migraine and this all just ticks me off. Thank you Ethan. God bless and you stay safe and healthy. ❤❤
I didn’t learn three blind mice it was birch bark canoe in junior high school 7th grade music class. Like to never got it down and when we had to play what we learned in front of everyone as a graded test I was nervous. When it came my turn I went through it so fast just to get it over with and I thought I was going to get a bad grade but got an A. The teacher laughed and just said you don’t have to be in such a hurry.
Love the 70s ....the coloured lights in the kitchen were cool..and the chandelier in the bathroom ...looked like a beautiful day for exploring...lucky find Ethan..thanks...stay safe well well and happy 💋
Love your videos, Ethan! It's especially refreshing to see someone so young with such an appreciation for the past eras of which you were not even alive to experience. Your fascination with style is contagious, for sure. I find it so sad that there are so many beautiful abandoned homes in Canada that are being demolished. I live in the US (in the south) and we rarely have homes that are slated for demolition unless they're literally just falling in/apart. I look at these houses you tour and can't help but wonder how they would have looked back when they were occupied ... how interesting that would be to see!
The house was huge very rambling , it's a shame to think its being torn down. It had so much potential that could have just been saved . I loved the kitchen downstairs, beautiful hardwood floors, interior shutter covering the windows and the interior brickwork. Thanks for the tour Ethan. I appreciate what you do documenting these homes. ❤❤
Mirrored back splash is very much in fashion now my sons kitchen has mirrored back splash, this house is terribly modern, picture of one apple in a frame? I love that glass table the legs are very very beautiful. Thanks for this video Ethan.
This home is absolutely stunning , it's such a shame it's being torn down. my favorite was the kitchen with the breakfast eating area and the on-suite bathroom connected to the master-bedroom was so pretty. I must say I am a sucker for the black details especially in the 80's and 90s. I love the mirrors for the backsplash in the kitchen. The layout for the house was well executed. That beautiful deck was also a beauty as well and you can tell it was well taken care of. Another wonderful Video Ethan I felt like I was there.
This house was updated a lot. Floors, bathrooms, kitchen, windows, etc. Really does not resemble a 1970's house. Great video. Thank you. It's a fireplace bellows.
Hi Ethan Yet another beautiful house is going to bite the dust. Really sickening. I didn’t see anything wrong with this house so why demolish it. No mold, no fallen ceilings no nothing. That thing you were looking at by the kitchen is called a bellows.. I never lived anywhere that had a fireplace but I think it fans the fire. Just another nice house going into the history books. This always makes me feel sad. Thank you Ethan for sharing this lovely house with us. I’m sorry to think as I write this comment that house is gone.😢. Stay safe and take care.
They are salvaging bath cabinets and doors. Why not salvage this big home? It's just a little updating that is needed. Thanks, Ethan, for showing this beautiful home. BTW, you missed a couple of ops for a "what's up."
The license plate in the garage is circa 50s 60s. I had that same license plate color on my 65 Plymouth Belvedere II. I bought the car for $450 in 1970. I still have it. Not in good shape but I refuse to get rid of it. She was a great car.
Hey Ethan 😎 Love the house , the floor plan , glass bedroom doors , master bathroom etc. Love it all & therfore , I got notning to bitch about ! 😆 That was fun young man . Sorry you didn't try to play a few notes of that clarinet . 😣
A lovely home and big. Some family would really be happy here. There were some nice items left in the house like the artwork, musket, memorabilia, computer chair, dining chairs. Weird.
It doesn't make any sense why a house in perfect condition be be destroyed . Unless for the money! You were right the first time that's a recorder?!!😢😮
Ethan, Every Man has His price. I could not me bought out, unless they offered Me 2X what I paid. I spent 40K on kitchen alone, and I just replaced cabinets, stove and fridgr, Measure 10 X 12 Small these daays. Forget what I spend painting, electrical and plumbing. As U know they come in after all the $$$ is done... I pd 98K for a 2 bdrm condo in my town. Could get easy 250,000.00 easy, that is what units that aint as nice as mine. Member Dude, I am in the Biz. And w your knowledge I know you would do very well in the same biz...or related. Youa r good at photography too. Seems to be a thing You have. If U R Cool doing what U R doing now try to make a living from what Ya doing now. You are already very good. Let Your talents make you $$$
Such a shame this one is going down because it's so cute and really nice! I'd move into this one in a heartbeat. Maybe we just need to start educating people on what defines good taste. This house should not be going to a landfill site.😩
The Rifle may have been a Sharps carbine Fifty Caliber , or similar. Might have been a rare old example of a sword bayonet. I'm no expert , but the period would be right for then. Reference the motion picture, "Quigley Down Under" Cheers Ethan

Wow amazing what a house it’s a shame that house like that has to go and get knocked down. It looks like it’s in good condition. Ethan you walked pass mirrors 🪞 and you didn’t even say “what’s up guys” I wait for that because I don’t mind it that you do that in your videos
They say JEWISH families also have TWO kitchens in their homes to keep the meat separate…. Never thought I liked homes from THIS era but THIS IS nice very NICE .. Ethan ideally I think it would be OK for ( YOU ) to take that musket and magazine WITH YOU as long as YOU KNOW the owner isn’t coming back YOU get a pass if it were up to me
The way I remember what that tool is for the fireplace is just think of dr.BELLOWS on the show ( I dream of Jenny ) it’s called a BELLOWS for fanning a fire in the fireplace
Oh and YOU my understand people doing away with a house like this because they want new …. I just think it’s a dog gone SHAME and by ALL MEANS WASTEFUL to demolish homes that are still in good shape … if I had MY WAY it would be against the LAW and people would be ending up in JAIL if they didn’t find another piece of land either vacant or with something TRULY DILAPIDATED 😡
I would definitely take that musket gun to the museum, and that gadget by the fireplace that it's like a windbag and that ches museums or antique collectors

The instrument is a recorder. The same one we all learned to play Three Blind Mice on in elementary school 😄
@AllyBentin And the 'forgotten middle child syndrome' continues!!
So my kids, now 36 and 38, are the only two kids that never learned even one song, huh?
@@likemeordont5951 Not at all!!!

Civil War musket with bayonet!! Holy Shit!! Also, love that you take the time with Hockey memorabilia!!
If it said 1890 the Civil War had been over for 25 years 🙄

I hate to see such beautiful places getting knocked down…seems like a waist of a beautiful home…great video!!! 😊😊
Yes, probably gonna end up being a mcmansion. That looks like an office building with no character. Just cold straight line.
It’s called a bellows! Very cool house bro! ❤️🤘👍
What a very nice house very sad that this about to be tearing down but I glad that you explained it before they tear it down
This home was very well designed and would have been lovely in its day . Well done, Ethan .
Everything but a pool and a basement bar. Nice house Ethan. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mirrored back splash is very much in fashion now my sons kitchen has mirrored back splash, this house is terribly modern, picture of one apple in a frame? I love that glass table the legs are very very beautiful. Thanks for this video Ethan.
Liked this one, color on walls was a warm pleasant color. Thanks for sharing with us!
Ethan, great ❤video. beautiful house, such ashame .
Love this house and this video. Your comments and enthusiasm are the best!
Very nice house loved the light above the big tub and the fireplaces ❤️
Older homes are full of character. It’s a shame they are being wasted when housing is so expensive.
70's homes for some reason is my favourite decade of homes to see. Thank you for the cool video, Ethan!

Very cool home, loved it! Btw, the musical instrument you found in the closet was a Recorder. 🎶
I agree with
everyone
it should be
illegal to
tear down these good
houses and
places.not
everyone has
good money
to live anywhere
they choose to live.
What a house! Too bad it’s being torn down. Thank you
A shame to tear down a lovely home like this for no good reason. I'm sure a lot of people would love it.
This house was updated a lot. Floors, bathrooms, kitchen, windows, etc. Really does not resemble a 1970's house. Great video. Thank you. It's a fireplace bellows.

This is a Gooden, Ethan. The neverending house and out of all things to destroy is a musket worth a million awesome owners
This house is so beautiful thanks Ethan 🇦🇺💜
Another awesome video, thanks!
Very nice big house. A question I have…..why don’t they put theses house up for sale rather than demo them
Hey Ethan 😎
Love the house , the floor plan , glass bedroom doors , master bathroom etc.
Love it all & therfore , I got notning to bitch about ! 😆
That was fun young man . Sorry you didn't try to play a few notes of that clarinet . 😣

That tv and fireplace situation was weird. Other than that nice house 👍

Good toilet! Show this one again!😊😅
The thing on the bar was a bellows......
Really enjoyed the video😊
Have you bought a house of your own now Ethan? You should give us a tour of your home :)
Beautiful. A shame. Until the next one! I always look forward to seeing the next house.
Cool old House
Hello Ethan
That’s a neat home
That a bellow to get a fire going!
Thumbs up on the video Ethan 👍❤️😎

What a shame, & there are people living on the streets
Sup from Kentucky ❤
It's a shame they just don't renovate these existing mansions into a couple luxury apartments instead of high rise apartments.
The Rifle may have been a Sharps carbine Fifty Caliber , or similar. Might have been a rare old example of a sword bayonet. I'm no expert , but the period would be right for then. Reference the motion picture, "Quigley Down Under" Cheers Ethan
The windows in the basement are not bay windows. Regular window with a curved, protected “well” outside.
This house is amazing. It’s a shame it’s being demolished.
ho what a lovely home it is it was sad
sword got to be an antique.... soo cool, worth big bucks
I wish I could've seen it as it was decorated by the original owners.
I had to do a quick search on the artist of the one picture (Robert Bateman) because I knew I had heard that name before. He's a Canadian artist from Toronto, known for nature paintings. And as I starter thinking, I remembered, mt parents always had one of his paintings in their home (they still have it).
That's a bello for making flame bigger on fire 😅
I really love this house. Such a shame once again to take it down.
Way to go Ethan, nice house on the chopping block again. Everyone always much go bigger❤
Robert Bateman is one of my favorite artists, I would have taken that, along with the other art. F'em
Don't tell me - they are tearing down these beautiful homes, filling up local landfills with beautiful things to make way for " green homes" ? Does anyone else see the irony and the stupidity of this?
I hope they save that gun . thanks for sharing . ❤❤❤ stay safe love ya
That you don't know is bellow, it used to blow on fire to ignite it. In this case they probably used for igniting the fireplace.
All I can say is that it is stupid to tear down such an amazing house!
Please take that musket to an antique store
That’s a genuine
1890 Musket the
owner should reclaim it.
I respect you so much, but I'd take that musket asap!!! Especially if torn down with the house.
That object is called a bellows.
I have that exact same Maple Leafs magazine!
You show the toilet Anyways! You have long legs, you could probably close it with your foot from the hall!
Wow amazing what a house it’s a shame that house like that has to go and get knocked down. It looks like it’s in good condition. Ethan you walked pass mirrors 🪞 and you didn’t even say “what’s up guys” I wait for that because I don’t mind it that you do that in your videos

It would have been perfect if it had an intercom, right Ethan?!
A very stylish and comfortable home. But most folks that 'got it like that'🤑want their OWN style and comfort. Whaddaya gonna do?🙃
How could anyone want bigger and better than that.?
The way I remember what that tool is for the fireplace is just think of dr.BELLOWS on the show ( I dream of Jenny ) it’s called a BELLOWS for fanning a fire in the fireplace

I think they used that name to describe HIM
Nice house!! … and they tore it down!?
Privacy glass=frosted glass.
The item you found is called a 'bellows'. It's to stoke the fireplace flames.
Billows... for stoking the fire
Hi nathan❤
Another beauty to be destroyed , I just shake my head again 😡
It's called a bellows!!
That is a nice house if I have the money I would buy this houses for home. Why all these houses being a banded behind
I would definitely take that musket gun to the museum, and that gadget by the fireplace that it's like a windbag and that ches museums or antique collectors
walls are plaster, not stucco
