I love that cat sitting in the cardboard box 😍😍😍 I imagine that getting shot by the Plague Marines must be a bit like Dandy Dan getting taken out in Bugsy Malone; only browner... and more smelly.
winters, can you please use the a monopod or stabilizer for the army view, just to steady the view with close up, it'll help the focus on the glorious paint. keep up the narrative fun.
My favorite part of watching Winters play Death Guard is watching how he bounces back and forth between remembering the debuffs for plague range vs forgetting them completely 😂
To be fair, GW’s attempt to put all the rules on data sheets was a great idea, but immediately cocked up by them then abusing it and giving virtually every data sheet in the game its own rules to remember. I’m sick of how many things get lethal hits, sustained hits, etc when they should just improve the baseline stats of a weapon instead of giving it all these conditional modifiers. If you only play one army it’s manageable, but if you play multiple like Winters it’s an absolute pain in the butt.
@@Buffaluffasaurus I play Death Gurad, World Eaters, CSM, Grey Knights, Black Templars, Sisters of Battle, Custodes, and Tau. I can attest that it is very difficult to remember every datasheet ability, but seeing him selectively forgetting the army wide ability is kinda funny
Yes, brave Mortarion turned about ("I didn't!") And gallantly he chickened out Bravely taking to his feet ("I never did!") He beat a very brave retreat ("all lies!") Bravest of the braaaave, Mortarion ("I never!")

Nice game. Chaos Knight main here, sure it would be nice to have army and detachment rules that did something... and I really feel like Battle-Shock shouldnt be removed naturally, instead, if you are battleshocked you have to roll to de-battleshock instead, at leasts increases the chances of units reamaining that way and gives out-of-phase battle shock tests more bang too, and maybe another effect, less movement or something. Abominant is a fantastic looking unit, but as it is right now its by far the weakest of them all, the melee and shooting is sub-par for a knight and the rules/skills which was what carried the Abominant through 9th are also pretty weak now... and its really expensive (455 pts), when 10th released it was 395, with towering and overwatch, and no one took it because was so weak... now its 455 with no towering and no overwatch... yeah... this unit needs a full rework.
Magnus did everything wrong: 1.) The webway 2.) Not helping Lorgar more in First Heretic 3.) Not Keeping Guilliman trapped in his maze 4.) Covid 5.) Taxes
Yea he did. He also didn't say if Tsons scored engage or not, because if he did, he shouldn't have because you have to be 3" past the quarter lines and the land raider wasn't past 3" and he gave up the other quarter when he charged into morty. So DG would have won if they did score him engage
Wouldn't be a winters batrep without him forgetting half of his faction rules and abilities All of the Blightlord shooting rerolls being forgotten was HILARIOUS
As a DG player, it hurt my soul when you forgot Morty ignores his -1 to hit from being bracketed, as well as constantly forgetting your lethal hits and having sticky OBJ's on everything so you would have still held the center from the termies being there earlier 🤣 Side note as well, at 1hr 35min you didn't say if Tsons scored engage on all fronts, but if he did he shouldn't have because you have too be 3" past the quarter lines and there was no way that land raider was past 3" and he gave up his points on the other quarter when he charged Morty 😐 So if he did score engage(which he shouldn't have) and you would have remembered about sticky OBJ on the center, Death Guard would have won 😐
1:58:28 he legally cannot use that psykic power according to the rules because the knight is not a thousand sons Psyker. So it would have died right then and there without any more shots needed. I mean it died either way but TS would have had that save still
This is kind of irrelevant to the batrep, but where did you get that Necrons Nightbringer model from? It looks way better than the current sculpt and I may want to look into buying one if possible.
I beg your pardon but aren't faction rules like Harbingers of Dread only applicable when your roster's faction is the same one for that faction rule so if you have an ally unit such as a Chaos Knight, it couldn't use Harbingers of Dread?
This was painful to watch. I was screaming REMOVE THEIR SAVES anytime the Thousand Sons attacked those blightlords. Could’ve dealt with them so much easier.
Magnus did nothing wrong. But Morty outsmarted him today. Allowing Magnus to come beat him up, faking injury, then to reveal he'd led him into a cross fire. You cant trick Tzeentch easily.
Well still more space marines on space marines. It is 40K with the current rules so very thankful. Xenos please SOON. Like your Necrons with their new codex. PLEASE less space marine. Charles in the Colonies
Would be nice if you'd play some interesting twists instead of chosen battlefield every time, it gets boring to watch when it's so repetitive. God where to even start? Death Guard rhino would have died on T1 because of the +1 damage from the lascannons that was conveniently forgotten about for the Thousand Sons player, yet never got forgotten about for Winters' lascannons. Magnus reduces damage by 1 which means the flat 3 devastating would have only done 2 damage not 3, don't think it mattered. The stratagem for turning damage to 0 is AFTER failing a save, so you would have had 3 saves to make there not 2, and THEN you turn a failed save to 0 damage (after Weaver of Fate re-roll) and it would have also reduced that 3 damage down to 2 - again. I understand friendly games and I'm no tournament player but if you're going to have your games filmed at least know the army you're playing.
@@AJMOFO1987he has to be. That or he’s new to the game. Personally, after decades of watching GW flail away at attempting to keep their games balanced I’ve run out of salt for the subject. There are just too many variables and rule interactions to between the various factions/units.
Magnus did nothing wrong… he was told to do nothing and he did it wrong
I like the larger 3000 point battle reports. Get to see more models on the table and make it different to most other battle reports
Mortarion ran away. Morty ran away away oh brave Mortarion. When Magnus reared his red horned head, he bravely turned his tail and fled.
He ran away. We all know it.
Great game! I love Knights as part of an army, not as an army in themselves. I would like to see the 13th supported by a knight in the future!

Poetic justice for Morty to get unceremoniously cut down by the rank and file after his “tactical repositioning” shenanigans 🤌
Can’t believe Mortarion ran away! 😱
it was a reposition! Tactically done!😶🌫
Will definitely be watching this once I get my little ones to bed
Mortarian ran away

@@kingfield99 no he turns off all modifiers, like Magnus’ -1 damage and the scarab occults’ -1 to wound

have winters forgot that DG got sticky objektive ?? XD
Winters, you are the undisputed lord of the batrep!
