You don't want to use the L8 rocket launcher. It never gets to the battlefield on time.
The Canoptek Court detachment is a really nice blend of fluffy and viable. It’s not afraid of what it is trying to be, and doesn’t put too many arbitrary restrictions on things (biggest one being the Power Matrix variable reach, which manages to limit power but not to an oppressive degree).
It’s a shame that things like Assimilator and Synaptic Nexus weren’t able to express themselves a little more clearly like this. It wouldn’t be too hard.

Always re-roll 1's to hit, Always re-roll 1's to wound with Immortals. Regardless. Re-roll ALL wounds for units on an Objective (like that bike)...
Great game guys, if the rail rifles could have managed more than a pair of hits across the game maybe things could have gone differently. Love the way Azachan approached the game

I think that Winters' said that March of War was responsible for the bases; though I might have misunderstood.

Even tho they lost, I thought the Votann made a pretty strong showing here. You just can't push those hearthkin in melee XD XD
Leagues of Votann player forgot that the Kahl gives lethal hits to any unit he joins. so the 5 Dwarf unit of Hearthguard have lethal hits. Very good with the grenade launchers. He'll also give the unit a 5+ invulnerable save.
Splitting fire on necrons always a good idea..... Especially when the target is sitting next to a reanimator
was wishing for the sagitaur on the last turn charge to deadly demise to kill the doomstalker...

Spiders have a 6+ FNP aura to all vehicles, them included! Scarabs lost deadly demise
in the wraith fight on turn 1 wouldnt the wraiths reroll all hits instead of just 1's since you had half the no mans land obj at the start of the fight phase?
Don’t know if you pick this up later, but you’re rolling FNPs as if damage spills over. If you have a wraith with 2 wounds remaining that gets hit with a 4 damage shot, you roll 4 FNPs. You seem to be rolling 2 FNPs then rolling another 2 for another model. You don’t have to do that as the 4 damage came from a single wound that was allocated to one model.
He was rolling 2 at a time because autocannon and bolt cannon are both 2 damage, not 4.
You should official name the not a Psycher from the Leagues of Votann "Nautgan D'elf"

Really fun game to watch, you mentioned overlooking strats, I've had games where I've got to to shooting phase before I've remembered to draw secondaries! Must be really hard playing and filming together. Keep on with the great content.

Why dint you use the lone operative stratagmes in your canopteks
If he did, the cryptics wouldn't give the units of immortals they joined always reroll ones to hit, and if in the power matrix, reroll all hits. The cryptic has to join the unit to give them that special rule.

He does, yes - this game was better than usual for Votann rules, I feel like most battle reports forget most of them haha

@@guysolomon8926 The Kahl also gives the unit he joins a 5+ invulnerable save. which is good for Hearthguard as they don't have an invulnerable save on their own.
The magna rails are pretty decent on the hekatons against tanks without invulns. But in 90% of the games, the conversion beamers will be the optimal choice by far. Ap-2 Ignore cover either forces a bad save or gets them to the invuln. It is more consistent and also has HUGE spike potential with those sustained on 4s

I guess it’s a choice but with 2 judgement tokens on the doomstalker, you could have spent a cp and put countertemporal shift on it and he would have not been able to shoot it beyond 12 inches.
The Dwarves dug to deep..... I have had a couple P&P RPG games go completely off the rail when started with those words. Before Everybody even knew who Tolkien is. CLASSIC

No you can't be from your opponents board edge, in their deployment zone is fine

I haven't actually played yet despite watching Winters' battle reports for like 5 years. Why does it feel like, when listening to the army breakdowns at the beginning, 10th is more complex than 9th?
Super stoked. Finally built and painted my first model. An army is as inevitable as the tyranid swarm. Love every battle report. Can't wait to join the battlefield myself.

Forgive my ignorance, where is the rule allowing attaching technomancers to wraiths, and attaching a cryptek to immortals makes them a cryptek unit? I’ve only looked at the codex data sheets and the detachments rules, but I haven’t seen anything like that.
The codex data sheet for technomancers says they can lead wraiths. The rules commentary 1.0 keywords section says a unit has all the keywords of each of the units that comprise it.

if you had a command point I would have used the necrons shield ability on the stalker, aka cant be shot unless your within 18". Not only has your opponent wasted a CP, but he cant shoot at anything else as he already declared hist shots.
If you look at the eligible target (no longer eligible) part of the rules commentary, it states that a unit whose target becomes illegible can select new targets :)

Maybe I've said this already but I really think that you shouldn't use those scatter stones around your scenics, because they are too even and regular. Maybe, to do it in a better way, you should mix them with others of different sizes and then maybe spray them too with a mix of greys\browns to blend them all more with the scenery. It is of course a personal opinion but they simply look out of place, and also can make models unstable...⚠😇
I agree. I feel it makes the board messy and is constantly messing with the dice.
@@ericsmith9212 but the idea is good though, Winters needs only to diversify the scatter stones, and remember that you can also mix other scatter pieces with them, like weapons and various leftovers from sprues...
