This is a very interesting note from the community as I have experienced the same lack of consistency. Upon a second inspection, the difference in click weight is evident. My # 779 model demands a significant amount of weight on the left click relative to my # 824 model. Based off pure feeling it demands at least 3-4x the pressure. Which is why it’s so noticeable. # 824 feels built for speed while the other feels built for control. The right clicker seems to be far more consistent and does not have any detectable differences. I even had my friends give their input on the feeling and we concluded that there was a clear difference in click weight. Personally I prefer the lighter click weight since it just felt more responsive and consistent. Aside from my other comment on the one shortcoming the paint job had near the port this is definitely the more obvious and threatening defect. In a perfect world these would come out consistent. We are not privy to that ideal world just yet. I hope this helps. 🤝🥸
One thing I did notice. The paint job in the general area of the port seemed to be off. As if they couldn’t get the paint perfectly applied along the narrow opening. It’s the least of my worries as that part will be virtually invisible when in use. Aside from that minuscule cosmetic defect, this is most definitely an elite mouse. The highest caliber I’ve seen to date. 🪐
