I blew glass at Alfred University sophomore year until graduation and studied under Andy Billeci. Man how I miss that but pottery was my destiny. I still could pick it up though. I loved the rhythm of it all and the constant spinning of the blow pipe. I learned, oddly, that The Wall Street Journal newspaper was the best for forming - seriously. It's so cool to have that sense of touch through the paper and not get burned. Glass blowing was like the potters wheel but sideways and so cool to do both.
I love that you took the time to explain what you are doing and why. Particularly teaching us the names of the tools and techniques. So many glass blowing videos are nothing more than music videos. You have earned my subscription!
Thank you so much! I like to think the people who watch these are a combo of glass blowers and people who don’t know the process very well but find it interesting. I’m glad you like it!
I am so glad I came across this video! Learning the process and steps to make a gorgeous piece was nice! You and your co-workers are truly gifted artists!
Do you narrate all your videos? I appreciate it as it is more informative than just watching a straight video( love tgem too....amazing to see start to finish) Just subscribed
Can you go a little bit more into detail as to how the wrap turned into polka dots? Did you shear the wrap that wasn’t stuck to the glass? Did it just snap off?
@@gustaveducrest592 That's my best guess too, that it receded during the heating in the glory hole. I'm reading through the comments for exactly this reason!

@@GlassGoof What a gorgeous piece! I love it! 😊
He's very good at blowing and teaching-not always the case.

Very cool! The technique used to create the dots... amazing!
With the quality of these pieces I’d think the artist/craftsman was much older! Fantastic work! ❤
Beautiful work and great video Connor!!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Nice balanced color and design.
Wow! Amazing work! ❤❤❤
So beautiful, thankyou for sharing your work.
Siete dei veri artisti!!!
this bowl is really pretty! it reminds me of a sea urchin, great work
Thank you! That’s what I was going for. I want to do them in a lot of different color schemes!
the bowl so pretty ❤ nice art
Какой релакс!👍🌷
Very nice, excellent
Amazing skills that you guys have, I went to a glass blowing factory in Gibraltar and they also made some fantastic pieces.
Great video, nice narration

Very nice!
That is beautiful..❤
Very cool.
I'd like to use the little water dropper you have on my own punties, what is it exactly? Also, this bowl is very nice!
I think we picked them up on Amazon. Just make sure it has a long needle. You can use a small bottle or even a plastic syringe! They work great!

Watch again. He does explain but it goes by fast
He doesn’t show it happening. Does it recede while in the glory hole?

How much does a bowl like this cost
it's silly but if they made a pumpkin that looked like this I would totally buy it
Nah... Not silly. I agree they're very pretty. 😊
❤
I feel bad for the Matt.
Красивая профессия - стеклодув, но очень-очень вредная.
Harmful?
