Here's a true story about art from me. A couple of weeks ago, I really wanted to draw in my sketchbook, but I didn't know what to draw. Every time I sat down, I was at a loss of ideas. But after I put aside art for a few days, I suddenly was filled with ideas, and the opposite problem happened: I had too many ideas and not enough time to draw them all! So taking a little break from art can help! Great video you made! Your art is so cute
In all honesty, I feel uncomfortable drawing on the back of each page in my sketchbooks. I feel it messes up the previous drawings, doodles, or sketches. Which is why I use loose leaf papers to glue on to the back of each sheet.
This was both informative and super inspiring to watch. I've had a hard time getting back into art after a very brutal year of working at a job that pushed me too hard (thankfully moving to a different place with new and respectful coworkers). I do believe that taking time to relax and finding new hobbies can help too with coming back full circle where you are itching to create again in one way or another form. I've been dying to grab something new to experiment as well and maybe a new sketchbook to shake things up and get back into it again. Especially with art fight coming up soon.
aw i'm really happy to hear that!✨ i'm so glad you enjoyed the video, and it's great to hear you're in a better circumstance now too. i hope you can continue to nurture your creativity and find fulfillment in this new art journey 💖 good luck in art fight too if you're participating!!
This video is so cute! I love the animals and the music in the background! I just started watching 3:33 and I’m so ready to just chill and listen as I get my hair done. The drawings are so cuteee you remind me of JelArts but in a special different way! I love it!! 😄🫶🏾✨🎨
Goodness gracious sorry for taking so long to comment on this WONDERFUL video!! Honestly all the stuff you've said as advice is what i've been doing for the past year and i can absolutely agree with all of it, and it also makes me feel more confident that such a talented artist friend is saying what i've been thinking for awhile
aaa 10 that means so much to me coming from you ;;___;; and i'm really happy you were able to enjoy and relate with the tips in the video!! all the best to you in your art journey as always 💖💞💖💞
i love you! you make my heart flutter //// i don't think u should say that to someone u just met or stumbled upon, but hey you're just so adorable and u just made my day
This is also random but, if you have the means, it can also be motivational to upgrade your drawing device if you do digital art. I recently replaced my slow old ipad for a new ipad pro and the difference in usability has made me much more motivated to create ^^
Thank you so much for these tips! Sometimes just watching those vids gives me motivation to draw :3 Another thing I do that u kinda mentioned is drawing smth very comforting to me, or smth I draw often :D
Hiii May, thanks for posting!! Am so happy when I see that blue dot next to ur icon!! I love this kind of videos they help me so much to relax!! Today it was the perfect day to post this bc tomorrow I have 2 tests and this really helped, Thanks!!🍥🤍🎀❤️
Also some tips for motivation is: to get a good playlist or a good sketchbook session doodle, collage! Also another tip that I use is that I add at the first page of my sketchbook ideas like fan art ideas to make a spread !!
In my personal experience: if you are struggling with creativity, do a study or absorb information, things which don't require creativity to complete. Often what frustrates me the most is not a total lack of motivation & creativity, but a lack of satisfaction with my skill level, which tends to fluctuate. I'm a perfectionist and it SUUUUUCKS to start drawing and just... fail. So, I do an art study, or read about how others make art, or watch videos like this one! Studying is the baseline to good art anyway; so I use the time when I feel down to improve myself so I can escape my slump. Hope this helps, whoever sees this
@@spam-el3ee that is really solid advice!! i 100% agree with this. it's important to always be teachable and open to learning new things, bc that'll help us improve and stay motivated to keep creating while we're always learning something new here and there✨ thank you for sharing!!

that makes sense! that's a smart way to preserve your art and prevent bleed. i think that's a great tip ^^✨
