Battlefield 3 SV98 on Operation Metro Rush Defenders

- That rock you see me go to every time far off to the right is the same rock we would go to during the alpha/beta. It was one of the closest places to the attackers spawn that wasn't out of bounds and it provided good cover from quite a few angles. Remember, there is no such thing as base rape on Rush. The defenders objective for Rush other than defending the objective is to keep as much distance as possible between the attackers and the objectives. So that if you die they still have a lot of ground to cover before getting anywhere near the objective.
Hide and Apple covered the other side of the map and moved up to Apple's rock towards the end of the video. That's another good spot to get to as it's also right on the edge of the out of bounds but it has less cover if no one is covering the rock I was using. That rock is good for covering the left side of the map especially along the water.
Was planning on recording both defender and attacker side with the SV98 but on attacker the admins started swapping us one or two at a time to the defenders side and wouldn't leave our squad alone.

When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be that 50-0 game. But damn those shots on moving targets are sweet.

Nothing will ever get close to mouse and a keyboard. I used to play BF2 A LOT back in the day... This made me smile... I love sniping in games. But today I do not have a strong enough PC for BF3 so I bought it for the XBOX360. It is still fun but it will never be the same again... Great shots mate! :)

What shape does a scope got? Correct a tunnel shape when you scope in you can only see trough the scope/tunnel and nothing else around it get the idea? if you stay scoped in you might miss someone coming from a side so is better to zoom out after you get the kill

Haha, supression is surely pain in the ass while playing with bolt action rifle. I go almost every time with L96, but thanks to this vid I'll switch to SV98 for a while. Really like the reload animation and although the gunshot sound is not like it used to be in BC2, it's still better then L96, which is Imho one of the worst ingame.

if you're looking for bullet velocity, the g17 is only 5m/s slower, but with two extra rounds
And it comes with a laser sight. But maybe he prefers the stealth when there's no laser.
Out of cuirosity, why don't you use Striaght Pull Back? Just preference or does it do somthing to the rifle I'm not aware of?
Do you play with a low sensitivity like xfactor?
Another question: what is the best keyboard button to switch to your secondary weapon? I do not have a button on my mouse to bind my secondary to, so I've been wondering what's the best choice.

armored kill might just be worth it man, check out the trailer if you havent seen it, imo close quarters wasnt the best work of dice but from what im seeing in the trailer it will be awesome. but piece of advice wait till it comes out, have a look at public gameplay, if you like it then get it. :)

When was this footage taken? Surely that guy at 5:25 should have died to the sniper shot in the current game mechanics?
btw, why not use a secondary with more stopping power like the 1911 if you've got such good accuracy? I rarely see the pros running it in any footage
That's why to take care of a sniper you need to suppress the hell out of 'em with multiple LMGs. Surefire sniper ownage.

With jamming he means they don't fire as fast as you klick.
You can't "spam" a M1911 or an KH2002.
An M9 is more spamable than an M1911
M98b all day for me.
It really seems like those rocks are set up for the defense, not the attackers.
SV98 got the 2nd fastest pull bolt only bested by the m40 the sv98 got better hipfire (not that matters that much) also the sv98 only have 5 less damage than the m40 l96 and jng90 but more bullet velocity than the m40

Only people who complain about base rape are the people who aren't good enough to do it. Besides, this is the way Rush works. Not Ravic's fault if the other team is playing with their toes.
Bro, base rape is fun. When I push the enemy team back into spawn I think I earned it, and I have no problem with them doing it to me. Also running into their spawn and knifing them is awesome fun.
technical the gun doesn't jam, it just stops it rate of fire........so guns in bf3 dont "jam" do you see where im coming from

Why do so many people love the sv98? It has the lowest damage out of all the bolt action snipers, and the bullet chamber time is slow as fuck!
