Absolutely gorgeous. I grew up listening to Serkin's no 5 and I know Yefim Bronfam studied with him (my dad would "flip out" if he could hear Mr Bronfam playing!) Yefim Bronfam is a technical giant yet plays with such sensitivity and musicality. He is among the pianists who move me deeply. Many others I enjoy, but It is an experience to hear his powerful and passionate Rachmonioff concertos especially number three. His understanding of Beethoven is profound - listening to him explain this concerto was enlightening. Unhistronic his passion is revealed in each note he plays.
