Preparation:
Boil the meat and lentils: The meat is cooked with lentils, ginger, garlic, and spices until tender. This mixture is then mashed or ground to form a smooth mixture.
Add flavoring: Finely chopped onions, green chilies, herbs (coriander, mint), and additional spices are mixed into the meat and lentil paste.
Shape into patties: The mixture is shaped into small, round or oval patties.
Freeze: Place the shaped patties on a tray in a single layer and freeze them. Once frozen, transfer them into ziplock bags or airtight containers for long-term storage.
Cooking:
To cook frozen shami kebabs:
Heat oil in a pan or shallow fry the kebabs until golden and crispy on both sides.
Alternatively, you can also grill or bake them for a healthier option.
