It’s very rewarding redoing an old boat. Did one myself back in 96, and, like you, it also took 10 months! Must be something about boats and the number 10! Oh well. Mine was a completely different build though. It was a 1962 Stamas, with the channels cut into the foredeck, small cadillac fins on aft gunnels, plastic pully and nylon line used for steering. I cut her in half from the top down, giving her a semi-rise shear, she was about 16’ originally, and she’s now 13.5’! Didn’t have any cell phones when doing this, at least I didn’t. Every cent went into this boat. Lots of grinding and glassing, made new floor and deck, storage compartments, 4 pole holders, 2 10’ outriggers, 25 Evinrude tiller outboard, outdoor carpet, nonskid paint on beige deck, painted the hull with Hunter Green Imron over Awlgrip Primer, about 30 knots was her speed. Gave us much pleasure till moving to north Florida from PSL FLORIDA which is about 200 miles north of PSL. She however was no secret though, that must have been tricky on your part, specially a boat that size. Hats off to you my friend! It’s a great task to undertake though ain’t it? Very satisfying and rewarding! BTW, Did you have to do any repairs on any chipped Gel-coat, cause that can run into some time consuming labor on these older girls! Specially round the chines, and anything else that has a radius! Boat repairmans nightmare, specially when ya have about 20-30 repairs to do! Thought I saw some chips earlier into the video, but she’s lookin real good now! Nice job!

Step 1: Power wash
Step 2: Have someone else do everything else
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit
