To be fair, Peggy was already a more capable fighter even before the serum. That Good becomes Great!
Also, The First Avenger and The Avengers did a pretty bad job at showing Steve's capabilities. The Winter Soldier where we actually get to see just how powerful and agile he was.

The reason she’s not called Captain Britain is because that’s already a character in the Marvel Universe, so she’s Captain Carter.
Sure, but Brian Braddock either does not exist in the MCU or doesn't operate as Captain Britain. These "What If" stories obviously branched out from the MCU instead of the 616 universe. Anyway, the actual reason in context is because the U.S Army had no reasons or obligation to name something that they themselves created using the name of another country.
Also, the only reason Rogers was given the name "Captain America" was because he was doing stage shows as that character to promote war donations. If the army had decided to send him out into the field right from the get-go, then it's more than likely he would have operated in a normal U.S soldier uniform instead of a costume, and probably go by the title Corporal Rogers or Sergeant Rogers instead of Captain America. From a military point of view, there's absolutely no sense in promoting an inexperience soldier to a leadership position like a captain rank where he would be expected to come up with strategies and tactics and make split-second decisions that will directly impact the flow of battles without giving him any training whatsoever.
Going with that same reasoning, it's only logical that the army didn't give Peggy the name "Captain America" because she didn't go on any stage shows as that character. If she didn't ask to be given the rank of captain, she would probably get a sergeant rank, based on her experience as an intelligence officer.
And I think also because she is an American collaborator not a proper country propaganda representative like Steve was.
@@FinalStigma Watch Endgame and when Peggy Carter appears in the office being watched by Steve Rodgers in the 1970s, she says the name Brian Braddock while Rodgers watches her. That means Brian Braddock and Captain Britain already exist in the main timeline of MCU. It is rumoured actor Dan Stevens has been cast to play live action Captain Britain. Captain Britain is already in the MCU that will soon appear in later films.
People also forget that the name 'captain america' was created by the gov't for war propoganda. Why would peggy rationally call herself captain britain? It makes no sense whatsoever

Well, Peggy was trained in the military longer than Steve was, That, plus her being a woman in that time, trying to make it known she's not weak, her motivations were a lot more intense.

Exactly she was far more stronger and capable normal person than normal Steve Rodgers, so if she has been given the same super serum as Rogers, her base level strength and skill will be higher than Rodgers so she will be a more powerful Super Solider.
And Hydra soldiers were not equipped with high tech weapons as they didn't get a chance to research on tesseract cube.
Carter was in excellent health compared to Steve. Also, the serum brings out what is already within the person. Good becomes great.
To add to that as well, Carter has zero issues with killing while Rogers would hesitate/pull his punches.

Steve trained himself after the serum, Steve pulled his punches always, he never wanted to kill anyone, but Peggy doesn't have any problem with killing enemies, and also animation stuff shows the powers of a super soldier better than in live action

I think that was the point. Steve was an unpolished fighter, remember--Black Widow pointed this out when they first worked together, and it was her job to get him up to speed as he wasn't a fighter. Agent Carter was a special operations specialist, so I thought this was the MCU trying to show us what would have happened, if an actual soldier was chosen to be a Super Soldier.

@@joshbrosh6626 why are you bringing up John Walker? This is just a Peggy Steve comparison. Steve wasn’t a soldier. Dr. Erskine chose him because his mind was in the right place, like Peggy’s. John’s mind was pretty far from that. John didn’t like getting shown up by Avengers and then owned by women who weren’t even Super Soldiers. Sure the guy was a war hero who wanted to do the right thing, but we all know that his egos in the driver’s seat. That was never the case with Steve or Peggy. Peggy was overlooked because of the period she grew up in. Women were homemakers, secretaries or nurses. They were supposed to say anything let alone be in the room where it happened. Peggy was the British liaison for the Allied Forces and she wasn’t American-that’s why she was in the room, because it was her job to be. Someone back in the UK saw her talent (her father?) and gave her a chance-like Dr. Erskine gave Steve-but because she was a woman, being in the room where it happened was the end of the line for her.
The Agent Carter series and her role in Endgame and Ant-Man already showed that she would have been a great Super Soldier, as she wasn’t a person driven by ego, but a person driven to do the right thing!
Peggy and Steve are two people who were normally overlooked because of their perceived shortcomings, but were given a chance to do something great and the outcome was perfection!

Don't want to confuse her with another marvel character called Captain Britain, and doesn’t roll off the tongue as well as Captain Carter does - Marvel loves its alliteration!
Tentacle monster was likely the monster at the start of GoTG 2 or Shuma-Gorath (classic Dr Strange villain).
Josh Keaton did a good job as a Chris Evans sound-alike.

Australia uses the Union Jack because it's still part of the Commonwealth, i.e. the queen is still their head of the state. Same as New Zealand. The Union Jack represents the UK.
The ending scene is from avengers 1 when Loki came out of the other end but in this reality, it's Captain Carter.

I really liked episode 1, I would very much like to have seen the actress Hayley Atwell muscled for the role of Captain Carter.
I read that Kevin Feige said these characters might show up in live action now that the multiverse has opened up in the mcu
I wouldn't be surprised if some of them show up in Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, even if it's for a few seconds or something.

So damn happy that not only do we finally have a What If? TV series but that the very first episode is of Captain Carter!!!!
When The First Avenger came out I loved Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter so much that I always wondered what if she had gotten the serum and became the world’s first superhero. And I’m so happy we got this. Plus Peggy absolutely would’ve been a better candidate to get the serum had she not been a woman, which makes it even more awesome that she got the serum and showed the boys how it’s done.
I hope next season we see an alternate Avengers with her as it’s leader, plus the sword fits so perfectly with the shield, like the knight that she is.
Fun fact: Steve Rogers is 3 years older than Peggy Carter. I always thought she was older, because of how scrawny he was. Also, Steve apparently joined the Army at the relatively late age of 25 years old.
I don't think they made Captain Carter tougher than Captain America, but there are 2 things of notice that might give that impression: animation (as you pointed out) allows for some risk taking with the action scenes that is prohibitive with live action, AND Peggy has always been a very very VERY brutal brawler, I dunno if you guys watched Agent Carter, but she has this very bruttish no nonsense fighting style, and she is less concerned with being non lethal than Steve was (although he killed soldiers during the war as well).
Every lone looks a Peggy flipping a car and conveniently forget Steve holding a helicopter.

There’s a different Captain Britain character that already exists. Has cosmic superpowers, is associated with the X-Men. Hell, the current Captain Britain was one as Psylocke

Animation usually has a weak point...hard to make you feel the weight of everithing. But here you can feel C.Carter taking a prep position in order to kick a body.

The possibility of Steve being the winter soldier is still very likely. They still have Peggy’s blood samples, which could help them make more super soldiers. We don’t know how well Steve took her sacrifice throughout the war or if he got brainwashed later on.
The experimentation on Bucky began before he and the 107th were rescued by Steve, meaning that same experimentation has likely happened to him in this reality too. Hard to say for sure, since we don't know when it began, or if the altered events interfered with that. It's also possible that Hydra still grows inside of Shield's ranks in this reality. Bucky could still be targetted for further experiments. Steve could be singled out, though I'd say it's unlikely. Bucky's a world-class sniper, even without augmentation, so you can see the appeal in turning him into a Hydra assassin.
I think, since Howard Stark would want to help out his friend, Steve will be given whatever version of the serum Stark can synthesise so that he can become Captain America and co-found Shield in Peggy's place.

Remember, Carter had an extra vile of serum, and she was already on some 40s Black Widow ish before Rodgers even enlisted. That Agent Carter show let's you know how badass she was.

Yeah u buggin. Cap never was scared to kill. Caps most famous pic is him bussing into a building shooting at nazis with the bros. Lol. None of the avengers refrain from killing. Especially Tony, Hawkeye, and Natasha. Cap wouldn’t do it if not necessary, but he wasnt like Batman who refused to do it when he needed too.

People forget that Peggy is a product of what England was put through in the world wars. She's stoic and brutal and fearless. She is also where Steve learned most of his physical skills. So it's really no shock that she adapted even faster than he did!

Of course jaby would focus on a woman being more powerful than a man. Peggy was more stronger and more skilled at combat b4 she even met Steve. The doctor even said the serum amplified what's already there. Go watch her show and see how capable she is without powers. You're the 1st reactors that even questioned that aspect. And I watched a lot of reactions to this. Steve was basically skinny and borderline malnourished b4 he even went to the testing. Hence the reason he got turned down for enlistment.
Well then what’s the purpose of Steve Rogers? I guess they were right then, I guess they really did waste the serum on him. This show took 10 years of a character and main him pointless in 30 minutes. So yeah,, I guess now we know after watching this that if they had given the serum to someone else, they would have been a faster, stronger better Captain America.

that is exactly why ever super soldier was more powerful than steve, cause it enhanced capabilities almost 4 times but steve was already below average human.
so a normal human, or even a proper soldier like Peggy or Bucky when injected with the serum became more powerful than our Capt. America.
Well, the serum enhances what's there. She was a trained agent. Fire arms, and hand-to-hand combat. So she would be more badass, she started more badass.

I felt it was ok. I love seeing Peggy in action!! But I’d be lying if I said I loved it. I’ll definitely keep watching. I dug the comics, but I just haven’t been very excited for it, and generally just felt it was avg. But happy others are loving it. I may grow to myself as it goes on.
The fight choreography and virtual camera work on this episode is next level. It flows so nicely with creative bad ass moves. I can watch this over and over.

I don't think they're all connected, because in the zombie what if coming up. Winter Solider is in that, but we see that it wouldn't make sense for Bucky to become the winter solidier in this timeline.
Each episode is a different Universe
The animation reminds me of the old Fleischer Superman cartoons. Especially the facial expressions

Peggy being more flashy and intense than Steve goes in line with John Walker's level of intensity when he puts in the serum. It's probably more about the good in the character that separates a righteous deed from a wrong one.

Even if Peggy doesn't appear in other episodes, this isn't suppouse to be a full on series, the finale of this ep was "cliff hanger-y" because that's how the og Cap America film ended, and as someone who's seen the movies you can fill in the blanks with what happens next, you don't need another ep to explain that.
It ended on that 'cliff hanger' becuase th first Captain America film, which this is mirroring, also ended on a similar cliff hanger.

We got the What if of her, her own comic (which needs More and continue, maybe with others fighting along side of her life She-Hulk) and maybe we might see her in Live-Action, Now she's Needs her own Video game (All System consoles) with the Fighting and Jumping.
Captain Carter is right title for her, because Captain Britain is whole another superhero, Captain Britain have a group of individuals who can fly and have different kind of powers...but their outfit is similar to Captain Carter's and rumours are Captain Carter will be in the Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness in live action
The serum we see in Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a perfected version of the First Avenger one where it doesn't increase muscle mass so of course Peggy gets jacked.
Jabi the professor Abraham Erskine had confided in Steve Rogers that the serum only accentuated what was already professor and considered Peggy to be already a well prepared soldier physically / mentally (unlike Steve).
A force greater than Steve becomes legitimate.

I loved they made her a fucking beast, yes she was a more than capable fighter before the serum but still she was a bulldozer of a fucking unit and I loved it
i see now the point to all this by the very first eps....because now the multiverse is in play at the ending of Loki S01...And the very first introduction with the watcher narrating the beginning and ending of what if eps....Its opening doors to other universes where a whole new story is branched out...BUT what we saw....what we know....the original story isn't erased...all we are watching is a different universe....preparing our minds to accept what Marvel has plan for Phase 4 MCU.....which means we could be seeing captain carter and captain America in the same timeline once the multiverse starts interfering with the original time line....this is very interesting unless this show has nothing to do with the movies that are coming...but i don't think so but if that's the case then the title should be called "what's the point?" beside for entertainment and merchandise purposes lol i hope that this show does in some way interfere with the original time line...and we get to see a live action meet between both captains...Plus this time around Steve rogers is the one who gets old while Peggy is 70 years in the future and still young...it would make sense if they got together if they did meet...no matter the difference their personality never changed and neither did their love so....can't wait for the next eps.....

I have two theories on this , one peggy post serum is stronger than captain America bcz peggy physically was stronger than steve rogers before any serum was consumed. so serum basically amplified the strength.
also steve didnt become winter soldier in this bc zola was already captured by usa n he was the one who experimented on barnes.
I watched a couple of Ultimate Avengers animated movies and loved those! Also have seen a bunch of Spider-Man cartoons.

Let's assume that super serum increases the muscular power of a person by 1000 times.
Steve's transformation :
0.2 x 1000 = 200
0.2 person power x 1000 becomes 200 person power.
Peggy's transformation :
1.5 x 1000 = 1500
1.5 person power × 1000 becomes 1500 person power
Steve, he's stronger or at the same level as Peggy.
Steve took Thor's hammer, He also fought against Thanos and fought him hard in infinity war and EndGame.
Captain Britain character already exists, he’s a mutant brother of the X-Men’s Psylocke.
A lot of people seem to think Peggy is stronger than Steve, but I disagree. I think that it was simply that the technology during the development of Captain America 1 wasn't capable showing off his true abilities, so when they were making What if... Captain Carter they wanted to really show what a super soldier could do with none of the limitations of live action.
Basically, I think Steve is just as strong as she is, just that they don't have much opportunity to show it. The winter soldier comes close however.
It could be that since Peggy Carter was already a trained and exceptional soldier to begin with the serum had more to work with when it enhanced her. Steve Rodgers was pretty sub par and thus the serum could only push his weak body so far.

She's not Captain Britain because there is another character named Captain Britain. They might have a plan with that. That's why she is Captain Carter.
There already is a Captain Britain (a member of the interdimensional Captain Britain Corps).
