No problem with the audio from my perspective with both of your setups.. I really don't like the colors of the A5. I have the A3, A4, A5. The normal color profiles of the 3 & 4 are great. The 5 has to much HDR effect. The image can easily be adjusted in post but I would rather not have to color grade. A5 Low light is top notch. I also use the GPS remote with the A4 and A5 and it's great. DJI cameras just work without any problems and the mic 2 and the remote sync up every time without issue. Nice videos!
Thanks! I color grade everything so I don’t feel that that’s a huge point for me but I could see it being an issue if you want to be able to film+post without having to touch the footage.
I use the same setup, DJI Mic 2 with Action 5, but haven't tried disable wind reduction yet. Good video that show the different, and I'm glad you like Action 5. You also from your other video convinced me not to even try Ace Pro 2. You could always post this video on DJI forum for others to see, and give suggestions for your setup and settings. Also there are others there that also do mountain biking and probably could use some advices from your video. What I really love about Action 5 is how good super night is now, and it will work great for my kind of videos now in the dark winter here in the north on my main channel.
Awesome video brother, I really think that DJI is the best camera on the market. The low light and audio are second to none. I only wish it had some kinda max lens mod like the GoPro. That’s why I decided on the hero 12 cause I love the max lens mod 2.0. Great review brother.
@@906Roofer I have a feeling you didn’t watch the whole video. I had some bad audio settings for most of this video, take a look at the night riding segment where I fixed that. The audio on this camera with the DJI Mic 2 blows the Ace Pro 2 out of the water.
When I meant audio, I play the drums... Under high pressure sound like concerts and what not. I put the mic on stereo recording and it did not distort and has great recording capinilitoes....where aa the action 5 did distort. Plus I don't need an external mic for most things. In the 360 app it lets me filter out external noise as well@@AustinSheidy I also I can plug my high quality earth drum mic to it that's smaller than the DJI mics... But it's a $400 dollar mic
Great video! The DJI definitely looks more natural, especially when you use their D-Log M. If you're going to be shooting in Log, the DJI is definitely the one to go with. It's interesting the different approaches the AP2 is taking compared to this. The A5's focus is closer, but the background sometimes looks blurred, which is most obvious with clouds. I think we expect it a bit on our higher end cams with autofocus but it was a gamble to do this with an action cam with infinity focus. The AP2 has a longer focus distance, but the background is always in focus. TBH, I'm not satisfied with either camera when it comes to image quality. We really need a good action cam with a 1" or larger sensor, good, 10-bit log footage, great internal mics with a removable wind guard. Perhaps that's because there are physics limitations having a larger sensor on an action cam, because no one's done it yet. Insta had their Insta360 ONE R, but that was a flop. DJI might have held back on doing it so they wouldn't crush their Pocket 3 sales.
For a beginner that is going to use an action cam for the first time , for mountain biking and road cycling, which cam do you recommend, without have to spend lots of time editing? The best compromise to “point and shoot” ? Acepro2 ? Hero13black? Action5pro ? From all the reviews I’ve seen, it looks like that GoPro13 has the best natural colors and details without editing… and also has less lateral distortion because of the wide lens… 🤷♂️
I definitely prefer the look of this footage. It’s easy to pull back on the grade when you have 10bit color to work with. Much harder to push saturation into 8 bit color without it falling apart. DM me on instagram and I can hit you with a couple clips with a less aggressive grade. Most of this is just with the stock LUT slapped on.
I personally been digging mine 🤘

Thanks for the review. Will you try the boost lens that just came out ?
I might just order one right now! That looks amazing
@ Hope they have horizon leveling as GoPro 🙏🏻
@ I imagine it will. The wider FOV is what appeals to me though.

They just came out with an FOV boost lens! And its cheaper than GoPro too
The audio is way better in Ace Pro 2 and low light 🤷

@ ohh I gotcha. Very different use cases!

What chest mount is that? Thanks!
It’s custom! I built it out of a sheet of kydex and some elastic straps to be more stable than the GoPro chesty.
@@AustinSheidy It looks like it is comfortable and stable
@ I love it! Maybe I’ll make a little short showing it off sometime.

Hero 13 black will probably give the best image out of camera with no editing, realistically.
Gonna be honest this looks over saturated to me. Insta360 looks best to me 🤷♂

Also 8 or 10 but don't matter if you don't have a good file to work with...
